There was so much excitement and hope when Kamala was first announced. They chose to squander it all away by sticking to the same strategy that saw Biden losing to Trump in double digits.

The dems will convince themselves this means they just have to do even more to move to the right. Because we only speak about politics in monolithic terms - there’s no way to uncouple the idea that working people should make enough to live comfortably from the most exaggerated pro tranny “woke” shit to people. When you say left wing in America people do NOT imagine economic populism or pro labor activity - they imagine their kids coming home trans and getting shitty tattoos. Bernie’s platform is the most popular in the country, voters across all parties would passionately turn out for an actual left wing platform if it were ever presented on the national stage. The rethugs in one of the red states passed a prop to increase minimum wage and sick days and it was by far the biggest winner on their ballot. No surprise. Republicans only support the republican platform if propaganda is used to obfuscate its meaning.

R1 It’s a well known secret among leftists lol. If you remove the label and simply present the policy, a left wing (!! left wing, not liberal) position almost always wins on any economic or social issues.
Sadly Americans are too stupid and too susceptible to propaganda, and love labels too much, without understanding what they even mean no less.

Sorry, the Dems campaigned exclusively to WOMEN with " Women's right to choose" at the top of every single argument. Left-wing media also added blacks to the kowtow list, not whites. They ignored any argument about the economy and kept pounding away at abortion. Ultimately the cost of eggs trumped human ones.
