Pennsylvania fucked us again

They fucked us in 2016.

And they fucked us in 2024.

I really hate that fucking state.

Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona.

I expect the Deplorables in that state to vote Republican

But Pennsylvania is the cradle of American Democracy.

They have no excuse.

They are traitors to this country.

by Anonymousreply 77November 10, 2024 8:07 AM

No, OP, much as this pains me to say it - the majority of American voters fucked you by falling for Trump’s bullshit. It’s not all on Pennsylvania.

by Anonymousreply 1November 6, 2024 9:11 AM

Georgia at least came through four years ago. The others….eh.

by Anonymousreply 2November 6, 2024 9:13 AM

Pennsylvania is a beautiful state.

There are larger issues at play.

by Anonymousreply 3November 6, 2024 9:15 AM

They should know better. Too many farmers.

by Anonymousreply 4November 6, 2024 9:18 AM

I hope Pennsylvania gets swallowed up by the New Madrid Fault.

And they can take the rest of the Midwest and South with them.

They can all burn in hell.

by Anonymousreply 5November 6, 2024 9:26 AM

Will never patronize the dump.

by Anonymousreply 6November 6, 2024 9:48 AM

I want to move.

by Anonymousreply 7November 6, 2024 9:49 AM

[quote]I really hate that fucking state.

Totally agreed!

by Anonymousreply 8November 6, 2024 10:23 AM

I've been trying to tell you guys about the depths of Trumpism in this shithole state.

by Anonymousreply 9November 6, 2024 11:34 AM

Amish (or quasi-Amish) are some of the most hardcore MAGAs you'll ever meet, but I hoped the cities would carry the day

by Anonymousreply 10November 6, 2024 11:37 AM

Sorry, and it’s true, OP. And we tried in philly, we really tried. I’m sincerely sorry.

by Anonymousreply 11November 6, 2024 12:04 PM

I live in Philly but feel like moving to Jersey. He gained five points in the city. Ughh.

by Anonymousreply 12November 6, 2024 12:08 PM

R12, hi from Jersey. The result here is even more drastic a shift than Philly.

Biden won NJ by 16 points in 2020. Last night, Harris won NJ by only 5 points. So, Trump did 11 points better this time in NJ. This is shocking. And yes - this time it's a NATIONAL problem. It is not accurate or honest to slice and dice and vilify one state only, just because of how the EC works.

by Anonymousreply 13November 6, 2024 12:12 PM

I mean...we really can't blame it on the EC because she lost the popular vote. Hell, even Clinton won that.

Nahh, this is some nefarious, history repeating itself, world-ending bullshit. We can probably throw some racism and misogyny in the mix as well.

by Anonymousreply 14November 6, 2024 12:44 PM

Ohio can also eat a shit 💩 sandwich. Voted for Trump and Bernie Moreno too.

by Anonymousreply 15November 6, 2024 1:00 PM

[quote]And yes - this time it's a NATIONAL problem. It is not accurate or honest to slice and dice and vilify one state only, just because of how the EC works.

You're right of course and bless you for being the cool head and voice of reason, but it somehow makes me feel better to bash those in-bred Amish, sausage eating, beer swilling PA dolts for dragging down the country.

by Anonymousreply 16November 6, 2024 1:08 PM

People are swayed by the social media propaganda they are exposed to everyday. I was hoping Pennsylvania was better than that, but they are not.

A candidate with 34 criminal felony convictions won.

by Anonymousreply 17November 6, 2024 1:32 PM

There is some guy who is getting the credit for registering a huge number of Amish for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 18November 6, 2024 1:37 PM

The internet was a mistake

by Anonymousreply 19November 6, 2024 1:38 PM

I also think the Dems fucked us.

by Anonymousreply 20November 6, 2024 1:39 PM

I remember when that proposition in California passed...proposition 30? Or 80? That everyone thought would not pass? And then it did and it turned out people were lying in the polls. That must have happened here too. The polls made it look closer than it is, so people were clearly lying.

by Anonymousreply 21November 6, 2024 1:40 PM

Ohio just doesn't have enough people in the cities to win. Cleveland, AKron, Cincy, Toledo are just empty shells nowadays, so rural voters have the edge. Pennsylvania is different in that both daBurgh and Philadelphia are successful enough to offset the rural areas. But racism comes first to the Pennsylvanian.

by Anonymousreply 22November 6, 2024 2:25 PM

they will soon die, alas. small towns in PA have been bleeding people over the past fifty years. and it is picking up as the remaining residents die off

by Anonymousreply 23November 6, 2024 2:45 PM

r19 Why's everyone looking at me?

by Anonymousreply 24November 6, 2024 2:59 PM

I feel so isolated. Neighbors, acquaintances and friends I never would have guessed would vote for Trump voted for him. I'll never view these people the same way again.

by Anonymousreply 25November 6, 2024 3:03 PM

My home state, but I'll never forgive them this betrayal.

I may have to step foot on the grounds of PA one more time (when my father is buried) but after that, I will never return.

by Anonymousreply 26November 7, 2024 4:19 PM

I guess the dems should have nominated such a shit burger for a candidate.

by Anonymousreply 27November 7, 2024 4:23 PM

Pennsylvania....present at the birth of the nation, and one reason for its dissolution.

^I was thinking this too; I've always taken a more sympathetic view of the Amish, but not anymore!

I'll never blow any horsehung young uncut Amish guys ever again!

Did you tell them how you voted? It would be interesting to know how they view you.

by Anonymousreply 37November 7, 2024 8:18 PM

15 million Democrats didn’t vote in this election.

by Anonymousreply 38November 7, 2024 8:21 PM

I'm sure the the majority of Puerto Ricans and other Latinos voted for Trump anyway.

by Anonymousreply 39November 7, 2024 8:22 PM

Miss R41 clearly did not take a geography class

by Anonymousreply 44November 8, 2024 4:54 AM

Pennsylvania = Philadelphia in the east; Pittsburgh in the west.

And...Alabama in the middle.

Unfortunately, so much of the rest of the country has become Alabama too. (And I don't mean economically; I mean attitude and culturally.)

When some people say "We're better than this," I say, "not we're not."

by Anonymousreply 45November 8, 2024 5:08 AM

It turns out Bryan Kohberger is the archetypal Pennsylvanian man.

by Anonymousreply 46November 8, 2024 6:03 AM

Stop blaming others. Look inside to see what we could have done differently and should do in the future.

by Anonymousreply 47November 8, 2024 6:11 AM

OP, Ok look I don;'t like what happened with the election. I'm very afraid and have been upset for days. But you're seriously going to their level brotha... I guess that's just what's going to happen from now on. Awful post.

by Anonymousreply 48November 8, 2024 6:14 AM

by Anonymousreply 49November 8, 2024 6:15 AM

by Anonymousreply 50November 8, 2024 6:43 AM

Pennsylfuckingvania can get swallowed up by a giant sinkhole, for all we care.

by Anonymousreply 51November 8, 2024 7:55 AM

[quote]I'll never blow any horsehung young uncut Amish guys ever again!

I take it you never have, because the Amish are circumcised.

Baby Jesus was circumcised in the Bible.

It is baptism that they wait for kids to grow up to do on their own, also like Jesus in the Bible.

This happens after Rumspringa (ages 16-21) when young Amish get to explore "the real world" before they decide to commit.

by Anonymousreply 52November 8, 2024 8:04 AM

[quote] And Philadelphia is IN Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is not the birth place of democracy, you moron. It’s specifically Philadelphia. Furthermore, Philadelphia does not resemble the rest of Pennsylvania.

by Anonymousreply 53November 8, 2024 8:13 AM

Sometimes you get the Liberty Bell; sometimes you get the crack.

I am Pennsylvania born and bred and love my state.

But today I am thoroughly ashamed of our votes, local to state to federal. No Harris/Walz, no Casey, no Wild. Truly mystifying.

The groups that betrayed their own futures as well as those of the rest of us, were the most catered to, politely put: Latino men; and young voters. Hence, Walz and celebrities to Latino areas last week; Kamala to a college on Monday.

I have always before refuted and railed against the appellation "Pennsyltucky,"

But within me the bitter seeds of that reality are now fully planted.

by Anonymousreply 54November 8, 2024 8:37 AM

Notwithstanding my post at r54, r16 is a moron.

Why not at a minimum spread the blame around? It's not like our Electoral votes alone kept Kamala from winning.

by Anonymousreply 55November 8, 2024 8:41 AM

The Amish, quite the heterogeneous community, hate change and reject modernization. The Democrats personify both, culturally.

by Anonymousreply 56November 8, 2024 8:48 AM

Where are you from, r46? I'm sure your state (or foreign country) has no murderers, so I'm curious.

by Anonymousreply 57November 8, 2024 8:50 AM

R43, That's like saying New York State is the birthplace of Broadway.

by Anonymousreply 58November 8, 2024 8:52 AM

Actually not ttrue. It's the republicans who force radical change.

by Anonymousreply 59November 8, 2024 10:23 AM

WE already know the answer to that R47. Not accept the result and fight, fight, fight.

by Anonymousreply 60November 8, 2024 12:16 PM

We could invade the capital and stop the certification of the election on Jan. 6 but do it properly this time.

by Anonymousreply 61November 8, 2024 12:22 PM

No evidenceo f fraud? There wan't any last time but Trump apparently won big points for cojones by trying to overthrow the government.

by Anonymousreply 62November 8, 2024 12:25 PM

[quote] Nahh, this is some nefarious, history repeating itself, world-ending bullshit. We can probably throw some racism and misogyny in the mix as well.

Maybe the Bible is right and Trump is the anti-Christ. The anti-Christ will deceive "people of faith."

by Anonymousreply 63November 8, 2024 12:30 PM

Well he's done a hell of a job of it (pun intended).

Beware of false prophets.

by Anonymousreply 64November 8, 2024 2:02 PM

It’s the voters who fucked us again.

by Anonymousreply 65November 9, 2024 4:43 AM

It's too bad that more of Pennsylvania's maggots can't end up like James and Lisa Goy.

by Anonymousreply 66November 9, 2024 5:06 AM

I don't think PA "fucked us," but I will readily admit that I do NOT get how the state's 300,000 Puerto Ricans voted for Dump after his "comedian" LITERALLY called it a garbage dump.

Also, many of the new Trump supporters are Hispanics, both in PA & elsewhere. Nearly half of all Hispanics in Texas voted for Trump. TEXAS! (In classic GOP fashion, they "got theirs," namely citizenship, and don't want to share. Sounds awfully familiar.)

by Anonymousreply 67November 9, 2024 5:21 AM

R67 I wonder how many of the Hispanics who voted for Trump will be proud of their vote when Trump gets their family, friends and even themselves deported. It's not a matter of if now, but when.

by Anonymousreply 68November 9, 2024 4:33 PM

The thing to remember about Texas is that a small portion of Texans vote than in any other state. This is an old thing going to back to the day when feudal political bosses along the Rio Grande had absolute control over who votes and who doesn't. If you look at the vote totals for Florida and Texas you will see that Florida always casts many more votes than Texas even thought Texas has 8 million more residents. Part of that is because Floridians are older, but mostly it's because in Texas, right-wing politicians have paid people to threaten people into not voting along the Mexican border, and they have been able to get away with this for generations even after such practices ended in most of the South due to civil rights enforcement. We are still not seeing the real voice of the people in Texas becasue in a way their political system still operates in the nineteen forties.

by Anonymousreply 69November 9, 2024 4:51 PM

Like most of the US today Pennsylvanians get most of their calories from corn or animals fattened on corn. In olden time wheat was the most important part of the diet. So it is not surprising that Pennsylvanians have taken on the cruelty and taste for oligarchy, slavery and human sacrifice that characterized the Aztecs, the Southern US, and other societies founded on corn.

Yes, the connection between the two is clear as crystal, as is the MRI of where your brain should be.

"Feudal political bosses"?? WTF?!? It's not ye olde England, cupcake.

Texas admittedly has far too low voter turnout, but this isn't the explanation for it, and I say that as a native who still lives there. Nobody has been "paying people not to vote" along the border. That's both absurd and readily refuted by the per-county results for most elections. Are you even familiar with Texas? Its only two cities of size near the border, El Paso & Laredo, have barely a million residents combined in a state with 30 million. The border itself has never been a deciding factor, nor was Texas even particularly "right-wing" prior to modern times. The vast majority of counties along the border are huge in land mass but have some of the smallest per-capita populations in the mainland US.

[quote]We are still not seeing the real voice of the people in Texas becasue in a way their political system still operates in the nineteen forties.

It's extremely disturbing that you're doing the EXACT same shit as Trump: spreading bullshit conspiracy theories. In both cases they have at least the veneer of accuracy, but that's what makes them even more pernicious. There are plenty of reasons we're not hearing the real voice of Texas, but again, you're barking up a VERY wrong tree. Texas has by far the largest percentage of undocumented immigrants, and they obviously can't vote. It's had a Republican supermajority for 30 years, and at least until Trump came along, you might be surprised how many Democrats didn't even bother voting since the outcomes were a foregone conclusion.

Further, you've clearly forgotten (if you ever knew in the first place) that it's been less than 20 years since Hispanics were a prime *Republican* demographic in Texas. Bush 43 spoke fluent Spanish FFS! He also explicitly tried to *appeal* to South Texans, not alienate them, and while Trump has clearly conned them yet again, that shit won't work forever. Partisan gerrymandering has been a mainstay of Texas politics for eons, and that deters people from voting as well. The last election in 2022 was the first time since 2000 that I was even ABLE to vote for my candidate of choice in the general: Greg Casar, a far-leftie progressive.

And "the same political system" since the '40s? Seriously? It had 1/5th of its current population, and nearly its entire industry was centered on oil & cattle. Nowadays it's one of the most prominent technology centers on the PLANET. This is absurd as well as insulting.

[quote]So it is not surprising that Pennsylvanians have taken on the cruelty and taste for oligarchy, slavery and human sacrifice that characterized the Aztecs, the Southern US, and other societies founded on corn.

Lemme guess: this is your delusional handiwork as well?

I don't understand how anyone, let alone Puerto Ricans could vote for him after Maria.

by Anonymousreply 76November 10, 2024 7:04 AM

Yep, what will the Amish and Pensyltucky trailer trash think when Trump lets the fracking industry run wild there? Enjoy your fetal abnormalities and well water that catches on fire, assholes!
