The "Look On the Bright Side" Election Results Thread

Let's discuss the few bright spots of the election.

I'm glad Angela Alsobrooks and Andy Kim won

And psyched that the Black Nazi is toast

by Anonymousreply 32November 7, 2024 1:25 AM

Looking on the bright side doesn't serve my rage, OP. Sorry, too soon.

by Anonymousreply 1November 6, 2024 9:03 AM

Ruben Gallego is a good man and if the Democrats ever get to run a candidate ever again, a centrist Latino man is a good one.

by Anonymousreply 2November 6, 2024 9:03 AM

Black Nazi going down is a good thing. It's crazy that such a candidate existed, but at least he didn't win.

by Anonymousreply 3November 6, 2024 9:06 AM

California and Colorado have repealed their marriage bans.

by Anonymousreply 4November 6, 2024 9:07 AM

The Black Nazi is toast, but the white Nazis are thriving. We can’t touch them, can we? 🙄🙄

by Anonymousreply 5November 6, 2024 9:26 AM

Missouri voted to overturn its abortion ban

by Anonymousreply 6November 6, 2024 11:12 AM

Black Nazi got thumped

Now that Colorado and California have gotten rid of their marriage bans, voters can do the same in Oregon, Michigan, Arizona and Virginia in 2026 or 2028.

by Anonymousreply 8November 6, 2024 11:28 AM

Tammy Baldwin won re-election

As did Arizona.

Ruben Gallego beat Kari Lake

by Anonymousreply 11November 6, 2024 11:50 AM

Thank God. Kari can go fuck off with Saran palin now

I'm glad the people in North Carolina who are Dems will have a sane governor.

by Anonymousreply 13November 6, 2024 12:49 PM

R12 I suspect Lake will try to run for AZ governor in 2026.

by Anonymousreply 14November 6, 2024 12:49 PM

She likely will. At least she’ll have the two time loser stink on her.

by Anonymousreply 15November 6, 2024 2:01 PM

I'm honestly struggling with this one...I got nothing

by Anonymousreply 16November 6, 2024 2:05 PM

There’s nothing to look forward to, no bright side, not one that I can see anyway. There’s even Trump supporters over at LSA gloating about his win. There is no escaping his reach.

by Anonymousreply 17November 6, 2024 2:19 PM

If he was a white Nazi he would have won.

by Anonymousreply 18November 6, 2024 3:11 PM

The only thing I can think of is that I'm old and won't be around to watch the next 40 years as America goes the way of Franco's Spain.

by Anonymousreply 19November 6, 2024 3:49 PM

This nutcase lost:

We won't have to hear her cackle for four years.

by Anonymousreply 21November 6, 2024 6:34 PM

I keep thinking the same thing, R19. Once Musk destroys Social Security I’m a goner.

by Anonymousreply 22November 6, 2024 7:01 PM

Musk?

by Anonymousreply 23November 6, 2024 7:02 PM

Senator Adam Schiff. Yes it was a foregone conclusion, but he's a good egg.

by Anonymousreply 24November 6, 2024 7:04 PM

Schiff won, Gascon is out as LA DA, as he should be, he is horrible. CA reaffirmed gay marriage & is protecting wildlife. LA County voted for another needed homelessness measure that does increase sales tax but we need it.

by Anonymousreply 25November 6, 2024 7:10 PM

Bright Side? You guys know all those local elections will be contested and “Prez”’Dump will step in with his “officials” and put who he wants in office. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY RULE OF LAW.

by Anonymousreply 26November 6, 2024 7:19 PM

At least Trump will likely be dead in six months from “natural causes”.

He’s going to avoid jail but has probably signed his own death warrant given his associations. He better get a food tester.

by Anonymousreply 27November 6, 2024 7:24 PM

I love Andy Kim!

My IRA doesn't mind this result. But the rest of me does.

by Anonymousreply 29November 6, 2024 7:37 PM

Senator Tammy Baldwin won again, she's another good egg.

by Anonymousreply 30November 6, 2024 7:37 PM

Elissa Slotkin won in Michigan.

by Anonymousreply 31November 6, 2024 8:21 PM

Eugene Vindman defeated Derrick Anderson (the fake family guy) in his Virginia congressional race
