Very, very good point R109. I'm probably a bit younger than you but I grew up in New Zealand where is was illegal to be homosexual until I was 15 in 1986. It was a very ominous and heavy threat hanging over a young gayling. At the same time the AIDS epidemic was taking place - although to a much lesser extent in New Zealand.
