I'm not a big fan of playing the gender card, but when people say they want their president to be a "leader" who "gets things done" and "keeps us safe," isn't that mostly just code for "a man" (more specifically, a hypermasculine man)? "Uncle Joe" was able to defeat Trump, but two women weren't.

Harris underperformed expectations and poll numbers everywhere. State polls everywhere were way off base. Selzer's Iowa poll was off by 16 points. How can that be?
