Roe wasn't. Gay marriage is I read.
What does it mean when a law is codified?

It will mean nothing to Trump’s courts. Look at the Voting Rights Act.

Roe established a woman’s reproductive autonomy as a constitutional right. Not as a law. So it wasn’t codified.
Obergefell established marriage equality for same sex couples. So, it can be overturned just like Roe was.
Elections have consequences.

R2, I think OP is thinking of the Respect for Marriage Act. Alito and Thomas will enjoy overturning it.

It means the recreational cruelty can’t exploit it for their version of Hunger Games.

Whatever it is supposed to mean, Trump’s Supreme Court decision is a threat to legal gay marriage. Maybe they will grandfather in existing marriages and just prevent them in the future. Not much comfort there.

Gay marriage is a constitutional right also, but it has bnot been so recognized by the courts. Freedom of religion. It will not be recognized as such by this court. In fact, this court will rule that the existence of gay people violates the civil rights of Christians.

Nonsense, a court is where the right came from.
