Does the datalounge think he was cute back in 1959?

My big sister had this 45 rpm record when I was a kid. My friend theorized that Frankie was really singing about cotton underpants worn by little girls and silk panties worn by grown-up ladies. I think she may have been correct. Frankie was kinda cute but not very sexy.

"Venus" is a gorgeous late 1950s Populuxe number. Beautifully produced. 1959 the year of Barbie. The year of A Summer Place and Gidget. This number fit right in.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
