I'm not the feets troll; I just thought I'd post a silly thread on what may be a tense day.
I wear a beat-up old pair of New Balance around the house and sometimes to run errands.

I have a pair of Off-White Sandals that I wear pretty much all day.
These! From Off-White's heyday (Is that how you spell it)

A pair of Deadpool slip on sneakers that I bought on EBAY a couple of years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 5, 2024 3:56 PM |
I don't wear shoes in the house and definitely not anything that is also worn outside. I do have slippers in each room, I don't like having to look for them so I just have a pair dedicated to a specific room and switch pairs whenever I am in a different room. I have a pair of crocs that I wear to take the dog out but I don't wear them throughout the house.
My upstairs neighbors wear shoes 24/7 and I hate them for it. But they're dirty people so I'm not surprised they're ok with bringing the outside all over inside. yuck.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 5, 2024 3:59 PM |
Slippers. I also have a pair of birkenstocks that magically turned from outside shoes to indoor shoes through the passage of time and disuse.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 5, 2024 4:01 PM |
Slippers, like a normal person. Why would you have your poor feet suffer in sneakers when at home, the one place in the world where you're supposed to let it all hang out?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 5, 2024 4:01 PM |
Yep, I have indoor Birkenstocks and a pair of 30's-era Mickey Mouse flip flops. I'd like to get some slides, eventually, but I can't tell what's good quality vs. just brand cache.

Socks or barefoot
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 5, 2024 4:05 PM |
Cabin socks. They have little rubber circles all over the soles so I don’t slip.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 5, 2024 4:06 PM |
Just thick socks. I hate having my feet encased in shoes, where I can’t feel the floor with the soles of my feet; it’s not good for your feet and balance, either to clomp around with rigid soles all the time.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 5, 2024 4:07 PM |
KJP Cozy Cabin mocs
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 5, 2024 4:09 PM |
I wear Sperry Top Siders to take the kids out to pee because they slip on and off so quickly and obviously have great traction on wet pavement. Otherwise, mostly barefoot in the house unless it's really cold, when I put on some thick slipper-socks.
I'm with rescue-chick on the shoes-inside-the-house thing. Outside shoes come off immediately!

Bare feet in house
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 5, 2024 4:13 PM |
A pair of EVA (kinda rubbery) Birkenstocks. They’re just so comfortable!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 5, 2024 4:26 PM |
LL Bean shearling-lined slippers.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 5, 2024 4:39 PM |
I do not have a no shoes household but I prefer my toes to breathe. So it’s black sheepskin lined Birkenstocks, Crocs or barefoot. I used to wear Ugg boots but am too lazy to put them on these days.
I am more strict about sitting on my bed in outdoor clothes.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 5, 2024 4:40 PM |
Too cheap for real Birkenstocks? Sad!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 5, 2024 4:40 PM |
Barefoot most of the year, socks when it's cold. I have carpet except in the kitchen and bathroom.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 5, 2024 4:47 PM |
I grew up as poor white trash in Florida. We went barefoot inside and out and only wore shoes to go to school, church or leave the yard. It was just too hot for shoes! Sixty years later, I am no longer poor white trash, but I still go barefoot and I have no feet, ankle or leg pains.

mules
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 5, 2024 4:48 PM |
Barefoot here too. I live in South Florida so barefoot year round.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 5, 2024 4:51 PM |
Camper Wabi Slipper Shoes (if I need to go in and out of the house) or Muji Room Shoes (if I don't)
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 5, 2024 4:53 PM |
Majority of the time barefoot. I have hardwood floors throughout with very few rugs and love the feel of the wood underfoot. If not barefoot, socks. And then only maybe in winter.
Seldom shoes indoors. I walk the dog 4 times a day in the park across the street. I live in a high-rise and must use the freight elevator with the dog. Per city fire code we cannot have doormats outside our door and I hate to think what's on the soles of my shoes once I finally get back inside.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 5, 2024 5:15 PM |
Like senior lesbian, barefoot. I have wall-to-wall carpeting in major rooms and the hallways. I have hard wood floors in my home office and LVP in the bathroom and kitchen. I wear flip flops or Dearfoam slippers in my bathroom only because of the cat litter. Cos and I share a bathroom.

W2W carpet? Your gay card is hereby declared void and of no further effect.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 5, 2024 5:22 PM |
Pair of Black Slides I picked up at Target in May.
For winter, I would really like a pair of slippers like they make you wear when touring European palaces.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 5, 2024 5:37 PM |
Barefoot. If it's cold, house slippers (slides with fake shearling on the inside, where the feet go).
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 5, 2024 5:41 PM |
Sorry, R24 but I'm got gay; I'm a dreaded female. I live upstairs, love being able to vacuum the whole condo in about an hour, and I'm a thoughtful upstairs neighbor. Let me know where to send my 'gay' card.

Indoor Crocs and outdoor Crocs. Outdoor Crocs also travel with me. If it’s super hot outside and I have a long drive, I have an old pair of Tevas that are perfect.

Indoor Crocs. With wool socks in winter.

Slip on Skechers, or rubber slide sandals. My partner went to Vietnam on vacation and all he brought back was a horrible toenail fungus. That was 25 years ago, he refuses to treat it. He's a narc. Ever since, I wear double pairs of socks + inside the house.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 6, 2024 2:57 AM |
I have a pair of neon pink candies that I swiped from my sister. I wear those or pink uggs.

I have a pair of wool gleerups but there's something about wearing them seems like a hassle. So usually it's just socks.
But I've been thinking about getting a pair of these which are the result of some kind of Dr Moreau genetic footwear crossbreeding
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 6, 2024 6:00 PM |
R51 you and your partner must be limited. Haven’t you ever heard of stuff like tea tree oil?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 6, 2024 7:03 PM |
Tea tree oil is not the issue. 25+ years together, solo vacation to Vietnam, and "narc" are the issues.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 6, 2024 10:09 PM |
Crocs
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 6, 2024 10:31 PM |
