Either for better or for much, much worse.
But the outcome of the events on November 5 will be historic.
I really think so.

No, OP. No one else feels that way about the most important election of our lifetime.

But Trump win will trigger my GTFO plan. I'm 65 it will be a matter of economic survival for me.

I mean, a nation will fall if he wins. That nation is Ukraine. So, yeah things will change. Palestinians will also be in for a long dark winter.
I fell like Trump-ism will be like Regan-ism, forced upon us, thanks to the GOP, for the next 30 years of he wins again.

To where, R2?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 4, 2024 1:51 PM |
Yes, OP.
Of course it will change our lives, & significantly so, if Trump wins. Things will immediately devolve into another 4 years of hell, only much worse than the first time.
I hope anyone who is registered to vote does, because this isn’t just about us, but especially about all who are 30 & younger.

Nancy Pelosi said back in 2020 that the country would not survive a second term of Trump, and I do think she is right about that.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 4, 2024 2:02 PM |
Jesus Christ, people say this every election. Do think this election is more important because it sets the stage for some legal issues and stacking of federal courts and such.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 4, 2024 2:03 PM |
R7 if you don't understand the ramifications of a second Trump term, then you are truly too stupid to live.
You're trying to sound smart, and "above it all," but you sound incredibly ignorant and naive.
What's in store for the US as well as the rest of the planet, is a whole world of HURT and PAIN.
Former Trump Administration officials, Military Generals, business people, and even his own RELATIVES have been warning us about it for months.
Anyone who refuses to heed these warnings will be responsible for what's to come.

I was convinced that Obama's election in 2008 would mark a permanent change for the good , finally drag the USA into the 20th century, and usher in a new age of enlightenment. Instead the change it wrought was ushering in the Age of Trump.

Harris is likely to be like Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt rolled into one, so yes, if she wins, things will change.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 4, 2024 2:11 PM |
I look for a change because this country cannot take the lack of movement forward that has been killing us since the Fascist GOP rose under Reagan, consolidated under idiot Bush Jr., and triumphed over the last 10 years.
They and the international cadre of oligarchs are trying to use a Russian totalitarian model to destroy what's left of the nation we can be.
With the Supreme Court in their hands and a likely Senate takeover, the presidency and House won't be enough to combat them.

I watched Tim Walz's speech yesterday and to summarize it, Trump's first presidency was a failure even with adults in the room and guardrails like the Supremes. Now those guardrails are gone or in his pocket and the adults who were in the room are now making 911 call to Harris begging her to stop him and endorsing her. The adults he wants now are people like RFK Jr. It will be a disaster

The thing is, the constant doom-and-gloom whining isn't helpful. As a wake up call it isn't really groundbreaking. We all know. And just whining about how bad it's gonna be, doesn't make it better. If you want things get better again, get active. Go to your local heroes and help them get elected. This is for the long haul. Even if Harris wins, you need to stay active and help. This is not a four year project. This will take a decade or a generation either way. Do your little part. Do as much as you feel you can do. Don't expect immediate results. But celebrate the little wins along the way. You can be proud of yourself that you did your part to keep things afloat or even better.

R9, had Hillary or Sanders won, then much more progress would have been made.
You cannot expect to build upon all of the positives from Obama’s 2 administrations, & then get a President Trump, expecting even better results or other benchmarks met.
Obama didn’t do this, rabid FOX viewers did, along with some very intelligent men who are profoundly destructive when given any modicum of power, or when close to those who have it.
In order to continue to correct course, Harris-Walz must win tomorrow.

It won’t be 4 years-more like 4ever.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 4, 2024 2:46 PM |
Perhaps, perhaps not, R15.
That’s definitely the goal with these maniacs, yes, but let’s hope we don’t have to find out.

Even if Trump wins, I have faith that the pendulum will swing back and the Democrats will be able to undo much of the damage he'll wreak. It would be four years of hell, though.

Win or not, the fact that half of the country wants this, that it's even this close lets you know what type of country you are living in. That's depressing as hell to me. I got out after Covid. But watching it from over here has my stomach in knots. Even getting out, you don't escape it.

If Trump wins........kiss your freedom goodbye. There are no plans to keep Trump in office Have you seen his decline lately? Do you think all those that are giving Trumps millions and billions of dollars to win are just going to let him rule? Of course not. All those that have poured money into this plan on taking over....for life. The plan is to get rid of Trump and put in Vance because he is the laziest most obedient person they have. Elon already believes that he is ruling parts of the country. He can't ever be President so he got into the next best thing. Controlling our money. Watch him, he doesn't even like Trump and knows he is an idiot. All those that wrote 2025 are going too be in charge and we will be living the way we have read about other countries under dictatorship. They will have Trump appoint every MAGA person they can find into the administration. They rest will be eliminated. The armed forces will all be MAGA. People like Stephen Miller will be knocking on your door if you have dared to criticize the gov't.
There are a lot of you here that just don't understand. I have one hope if he wins but am not voicing it out loud because I don't want anyone knocking at my door.
