What's your plan for following the election?

Are you taking a break from the internet until it's over, or will you be following every second?

Sleeping.

I have a hot date on election night. I hope he is the one.

It depends on the outcome.

In 2016, I cut myself off from any form of media for weeks.

This time around, I hope to be celebrating America's first woman president.

Open up DailyKos and Datalounge and obsess until 2am or until victory is called, whichever comes first!

As elections go it couldn’t get more suspenseful or more high stakes. I’m optimistic but this is intense. Come through, women voters, save us!!

I hope it's absolutely decisive for Harris -- like 320+ electoral votes.

Best case scenario is that they can call it by Wednesday morning.

I'm going to go with BBC for live reporting, shut everything else off starting tonight (Monday), and will check here from time to time unless the sock puppetry is too much.

I live within proximity to DC. I'm up early today Monday to get shopping done groceries, filling my car up with gas, and make sure I have batteries etc at home. I think this election will make history in terms of how close it will be, I think we're most likely to see actual uprisings if Trump loses. My plan is to stay home through Thursday and lay low. This election is not about politics, it's about cultural polarity on each side leading the call. When did people stop working together and learning to negotiate and accept people will have different views than you do and work with them? Things are going to be a little sketchy for the next 4 years and divisiveness will continue to rule. Do we really need another 9/11 for people to wake up?

r7 I think stocking up on essentials is a great idea, actually.

Since I'm terrified of waking up to the Orange Turd, I'm going to take a sleeping pill Tues night. Otherwise I will sit there refreshing every page like I did the last 2 elections.

I think it’ll be called for Harris before 11PM EST. I won’t be able to sleep.

by Anonymousreply 10November 4, 2024 12:18 PM

I plan to stay up until Trump waddles up to the podium to declare himself the winner, regardless of what voting results look like. I'm sure it will be after midnight, which means he'll probably be more incoherent than usual.
