When/If Trump loses

This is a Dem fantasy to me. The Secret Service would need to be in collusion for one thing.

He has mentioned Venezuela a few times.

I think Venezuela has an extradition agreement with the US.

He's too fat to flee.

A question I've wondered... when he was arrested for his various crimes, did he surrender his passport? Of course, he could just get on plane and go, with prior arrangements, but it would have to be to a country without an extradition treaty. The only country listed above that's got one with US (assuming it would be honoured) would be Venezuela.

I think the likelier outcome is he starts negotiating hard to plead out whatever hasn't been settled.

Venezuela has a leftist government that Trump tried to overthrow. I suspect that is one of the least likely countries. It's probably Russia, if anything. He'd fit right in with the oligarchs, and I suspect Putin would love to have a little American "government in exile" led by a refugee ex-president hollering constantly about how the election was stolen and how completely corrupt the U.S. government is.

Putin doesn't want Trump's fat ass. He's got enough trouble losing his Ukraine invasion and being an international pariah.

Even if he loses and is sentenced to prison in November, he can appeal. So he still has a lot of time.

You guys are a lot more hopeful than I am. My gut feeling is that there’s around an 85% chance that this is a decision he’ll ever need to make. I prefer not to set myself up for disappointment fantasizing about him fleeing from justice to some shithole dictatorship.

If he did flee, I suspect the country would breathe a big sigh of relief. He belongs in jail. I want him in jail, but deep down, having him in jail will be a big pain in the ass. Fleeing the country will actually be encouraged, I suspect.

Although I'd like seeing him go to prison, I doubt he ever will. I'd be more than happy to just have him quietly pass away. The way he enjoys casually threatening others with being murdered, shot, beat up and the like, I think following his election loss it would be a scream to have large crowds of people spontaneously chant at him, 'Die Loser Die!" everywhere he goes.

Trump won't flee the country unless he becomes scared for his freedom. If at some point in all the legal cases he begins to see reality and the strong possibility he might be locked up, he will run like the wind. I think he'll likely go to Venezuela if that happens. He sure as hell won't go to Russia. Other than Venezuela I could see him fleeing to Saudi Arabia.

Israel will work with whoever the POTUS is at the time. Bibi would certainly prefer his fellow felon Trump in power but will depend on Harris and her team for any kind of support Israel needs. If there's a hint of jail time, suddenly the Trump Tower Moscow project will be back on and Donald will personally be there oversee construction of the "big, beautiful tower." Someone else, smarter, and tougher, and more driven will step up and will continue on. This is not a trump thing as much as it is a national and world wide movement.
