I only paid to see one film starring Tom Hanks and it stunk too, the DaVinci Code.

"I'm hearing Oscar buzz...the same Oscar buzz I heard about "Till" two years ago, and we all know how that turned out."

The problem of the static camera was already solved in the 1910s

Kudrow just took a dump on it.

[quote]“They shot it, and they could actually shoot the scene and then look at the playback of them as younger, and it’s ready for them to see,” Kudrow said. “All I got from that was, this is an endorsement for AI. It’s not like, ‘Oh it’s going to ruin everything,’ but what will be left? Forget actors, what about up-and-coming actors? They’ll just be licensing and recycling.”

"Here" is sooooo there.

They've been retouching A-list stars for ages. It's since the SAG strike that they've started coming for it because it's getting to the point that it could replace actors.

Didn't Scorsese use it for THE IRISHMAN a few years ago? As I recall, no one was upset when it made DeNiro, Pacino and Pesci look younger.

by Anonymousreply 9December 16, 2024 6:13 PM

That was before the SAG strike.

by Anonymousreply 10December 16, 2024 6:14 PM

Yeah, they striked (stroke?) and now there's a feeling it was all for naught.

The Irishman proved that though AI could 'deage' a face, it apparently couldn't do anything for body alignment, posture, and gait which always told the actors actual age when not shot in close-up

Is this a Forrest Gump sequel? I have no interest in this.
