Where will the MSG rally rank among history's most pointless self-inflicted political wounds?

I honestly thought Trump had it in the bag lol. Not only because Dems had run a laughably incompetent campaign that appealed to no one and alienated many, but Trump also had probably the easiest path to victory ever - all he had to do was keep his mouth shut and let all of the Biden admin's baggage sink their own chances. American voters have goldfish memory and four years were more than enough for most people to have forgotten everything that transpired during his presidency.

And then they somehow toppled all of Dems' blunders in one evening with a completely unnecessary rally featuring a whole lineup of literal nazis.

Like, whose idea was that lmao? What was even the purpose? What gave them the idea that what they needed was more fascism at that point of the election? Did they think their base needed more convincing somehow, or was it supposed to win over undecided voters? It makes no fucking sense lmao.

You thought Dump had it in the bag? 🙄🙄🙄

Dems incompetent campaign? Kamala’s campaign has been nearly flawless

The second sentence of your post, OP, makes you sound like a braying jack ass. And that is really an insult to braying jack asses everywhere.

Learn to think before you post. Or at least don't post when you're shitfaced.

by Anonymousreply 3November 2, 2024 3:57 AM

Do you really think the MSG rally, this late in the game, changed anyone's choice for the next President?

Ok, I guess there were still a few undecided voters by October 27th but I imagine their numbers are pretty small.

[quote]Not only because Dems had run a laughably incompetent campaign

Sliding from a 3.7 (538) advantage over Trump at the end of August, to 1.2 lead today, does indicate mistakes were made.

Especially considering how Trump has become evermore unhinged since then.

R2/R3 are proof blue MAGA are a real thing. You're literally not allowed to say one less than ecstatic word about the Dems or you're literally Hitler, never mind that Dems are the ones that are currently involved in a literal genocide.

I mean for fuck's sakes, Holocaust Harris is winning! What the fuck else do you want?

by Anonymousreply 6November 2, 2024 4:08 AM

Let's fight about this after we win the election.

by Anonymousreply 7November 2, 2024 4:10 AM

Tell us you're a MAGAt while telling us you're not a MAGAt.

R6 Were you homeschooled?

by Anonymousreply 9November 2, 2024 4:21 AM

It’ll be huge only if Harris wins.

by Anonymousreply 10November 2, 2024 4:24 AM

OP, do fuck off and kindly drop dead.

by Anonymousreply 11November 2, 2024 4:27 AM

R11 Not before you die in a grease fire that's hotter than the blaze that burned all the Palestinian children alive in hospital beds set by troops and weapons funded by your taxes, you genocide loving son of a cunt.

by Anonymousreply 12November 2, 2024 4:43 AM

The MSG Rally encapsulated what Trump’s campaign is all about: Hate

Minorities, women, immigrants —hate them

So when people say you can’t ever blame the people who vote for these candidates—Fuck them. They really are garbage.

by Anonymousreply 13November 2, 2024 4:54 AM

r6/OP is a run of the mill troll. Purely pedestrian.

by Anonymousreply 14November 2, 2024 4:59 AM

You're literally not allowed to say one less than ecstatic word about the Dems or you're literally Hitler.

I'm literally " oh, dearing."

by Anonymousreply 15November 2, 2024 5:02 AM

[quote]Not only because Dems had run a laughably incompetent campaign that appealed to no one

They were certain to lose three months ago, switched candidates in an unprecedented way, and immediately put the race well back into play with no prep time.

I'd call that anything but "laughably incompetent."

by Anonymousreply 16November 2, 2024 5:09 AM

R12 = oh, dear

The polls are bullshit. Virtually all of them were herding and oversampling republicans because they didn't want to believe team blue could be winning. Cohn, himself, said so today.

A campaign that is pulling in cash at a two to one rate is not "laughable incompetent."

@TonyHinchcliffe may be the most consequential showbiz figure in the history of American presidential politics since John Wilkes Booth

Oh really? Name them.

NYTimes/Siena? ABC News? YouGov? Marist? Emerson? The Economist? University of Massachusetts? They didn't want to believe team blue could be winning?

Yeah, right.

by Anonymousreply 20November 2, 2024 5:36 AM

Yeah right, indeed. Despite the non-existent red wave in 2022, they continued to oversample Republicans because they didn't want to be wrong three elections in a row.

The polls were wrong in 2016, but they were correct in 2022. And despite what many believe, the polls were actually accurate in 2022.

Sorry, should read: The polls were wrong in 2016, but they were correct in 2020. And despite what many believe, the polls were actually accurate in 2022.The polls

by Anonymousreply 23November 2, 2024 6:20 AM

Oh, poor little OP troll... Need more copium? Or vodka?

by Anonymousreply 24November 2, 2024 6:22 AM

Yeah, I cleaned out my blocked list and this troll/OP somehow escaped. Stealth MAGA post.

by Anonymousreply 25November 2, 2024 1:41 PM

The Democrats don’t have a laughably inept campaign. Most campaign professionals and pundits have praised Harris’s campaign as nearly flawless. She’s defending an incumbency that saw high inflation which is historically the kiss of death. If not for that, Trump would have been dead in the water.
