SHAVING AFTER 60? WELL, DO YOU?
During covid and those couple of years of working from home Igave up shaving together and I'm not going back! I think I look pretty good with a nice quarter to half+one-inch beard and can't wait till it fully white not patchy. I found that I'm surprised that it doesn't bother what people think, either!
Does anyone still shave after 60? Why?

Also, no more razor cuts and nicks and of course the money saved from razors and shaving paraphernalia!

I go for a week now without shaving and it’s great!

I'm 71 and I shave every day. I can't stand stubble on my face. Although, I have switched from a regular razor to an electric.

I haven't shaved with a razor in years, but the longest I let it go is a few days then I use a beard trimmer on the lowest setting. Love it.

Pro tip for beard wearers who hate the clean up required after a beard trim:
-- Buy a Flowbee. Trim your beard to the length you like with NO clean up required!

Even if I don’t shower, I shave daily (with razor). And a long shave, too. I like the feel & look of a smooth face.

I'm invisible anyway, so why bother?

That would never happen with me, r9. I detest shaving, and I only shave 🪒 in the shower.

Younger men who want to practice good skincare should get into the habit of daily shaving.

63 here and I shave about 3 times a week.

I stopped shaving during the pandemic I never had a beard before. I received positive comments from friends and family so I kept it now I trim it once a week.

I'm so sick of old guys sporting ugly facial hair! Beards on old men (sorry Santa) are repulsive and trashy. Trump rallies teem with bearded, bloated geezers with full-face bushes. Ugh! Have a little pride, people! America is full of slobs constantly whining about comfort. What about the comfort of my eyeballs when confronted by your full-face bush???

61 and I shave around 2-3 times a week. I never had a heavy beard or five o'clock shadow, so no one really notices.

After 60 you really have to up your grooming or you start to look homeless.

R17 made me LOL.
You know what? I’ve given up on commenting on how old, disheveled, & homeless old men look with beards.
It’s none of I business, & I DGAF.
Let it grow, gentlemen, let it grow!

If I see my reflection with my readers on, then I immediately go into deforestation mode. Pluck nose, ear hairs. Use groomer to cut around ears, neck and and the weird, asymmetrical, forehead growth. I take a bath. Then, I shave my face, my pits, tits and naughty bits. Going lower, I shave most hair above the knees and finally, I shave the tops of my feet.

"What about the comfort of my eyeballs when confronted by your full-face bush???"
After a lifetime of trying to please assholes like you, in retirement I've earned the right to be slovenly, and to tell you and your eyeballs to go DIAGF.
Just be thankful you're not down wind of me, bitch.

Young guys with various facial-scruff looks have swag and are sexy. Sixty-plus guys (unless they sport a well-kept full beard, goatee or mustache) who do only the in between scruff look, resemble hobos.

r24 r20 and r17 are correct. But I have grown so old, I don't give one single fuck what they think. It's not like they'd be lining up to fuck me in the ass if I were clean-shaven.
Yeah, not one single fuck.

R12, that's the thing, I go about my business and don't care what people think. I like being invisible to those who don't like it.

R4, yes, that's what I do too, go a couple weeks then use a trimmer. If I go go more than 3 weeks it looks fluffy and afer a month I heard Santa Claus like

64 here and I still have a White Collar job. It would never occur to me to not shave. You must be all fat bears with stay at home jobs. I hate facial hair, especially when it's grown to hide double, triple and no chins. Just my preference.

I’m sorry, but I’ve arrived at old age with digestive issues and a healthy fear of poop spume.
I use private and public bathrooms too often throughout the day to sport a beard. I’d feel like I had an invisible layer of shit on my face.
I also keep my phone in my bag in the bathroom for the same reason.

I remember a date in my 20’s with a sweet, attractive guy. He cooked us dinner and then we went out to hear some live music. It was very romantic until we kissed that night and all I could smell was the fish we’d had for dinner on his beard. That experience put me off of facial hair.

Lol, r33, that's right, the "readers on" review. I do check to see what's needs to be trimmed or cleaned up. When I see a reflection in a store I sometimes do see where I might be hobo-adjacent, especially if I throw on baseball cap and I'm a week or in of needing a haircut.

We're both retired, shave everyday. Sensitive skin doesn't help mind you. Can't stand anything patchy looking. I'm still a faded blonde but my partner is fully grey.

I found that my face got more and more sensitive with age and nicked easily with my favorite razors (twin blades). I bought one of those 3-head floating razors, so now I shave with the electric razor, shower, wash my face, and then afterwards shave with my twin blade. No more nicks and my face is smooth for a good part of the day until my beard starts to grow out. Somehow, I've adjusted to having white hair and some people even compliment me on it, but whenever I grow out my beard a bit, it quickly looks like a dirty snowball hit me in the chin, and I quickly shave it off.

My dermatologist suggested that I shaved my beard for the winter. I'm 65 and I am planning to possibly get one final go round of cosmetic surgery. She wanted me to have a 3 to 4 month of using trentonin on my full face. I need some work done on my neck and likely need a facelift. I hate shaving, I feel unattractive without a beard.
