Hugh Hewitt quits Washington Post
Walks off while on air and quits. Fucking snowflake.
[quote]Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt resigned from his contributing columnist role at The Washington Post on Friday after storming off the newspaper’s live show over a disagreement with his colleagues. “I will not come back, Jonathan, how’s that? I’m done,” Hewitt fired back as he stood up from his chair and removed his earpiece. “This is the most unfair election ad I have ever been a part of.” “You guys are working, that’s fine, I’m done,” Hewitt said before walking off screen.
MAGAts are cracking up under pressure.

For those who have never heard him, here he is, declaring that the garbage truck stunt was inspired and asks the American people if they would prefer a funny president or an incoherent one.

Chuck Todd has his many detractors here, but I commend him from dropping Hewitt as a MTP contributor during Trump’s presidency. Hewitt was one of those normie Republicans who twisted themselves into pretzels to hold on to MAGAts.

Jonathan Capehart was biting his tongue; he really wanted to light into Hewitt, but his dry "So Ruth" response to the other reporter was even better than a verbal lashing.

Perhaps if I had seen more of segment I’d have a better understanding but Jonathan is the one who came off like an unprofessional gay cunt. This is why I hate talking heads and hate cable news and the like. They don’t report, they just spout.

How so, R30? He only said he didn't appreciate being lectured to... then cut himself off while HH snatched the fake pearls off his neck, tore off his wig and stomped on it, then "Well, I NEVAH!" and HUFFed!" himself off stage.
What am I missing?

Hugh was pissed that Bezos' withholding of an endorsement of Kamala had such a deleterious impact on the Post because he thought that Bezos was right [italic]and[/italic] it was good for Shitler, and you know he's been defending both in the WaPo newsroom. That he brought up the Bucks County story was interesting; it's the only majority Republican county in that area of PA and it just recently became so with the registration of 200 new voters. But Republicans don't vote by mail or early as a rule, although I think since 2020 they've realized that is a mistake and have been less vocal about it this cycle. What's going to be interesting, then, is whether the "red mirage" will still hold if they've pushed so many Republicans to vote by mail/early and the election day vote numbers don't come in as lop-sided.

Hugh Huge Twit any relation to Jennifer Luge Huge Tits, by any chance?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 2, 2024 4:15 AM

If DonOld wanted to lay the groundwork for contesting the election, he wouldn't have sued to force Bucks County to continue the mail in/early voting process until Friday when it was scheduled to end on Wednesday and they allegedly turned voters away before the 5:00 deadline. If anything, it sounds like the County was trying to curtail early voting as it's well known to favor Democrats by closing early in a newly minted majority Republican county, so Shitler's suit will likely end up benefiting Democrats as much as Republicans if not more.

R39 Have you been following?? Bucks Country has far more registered Republicans than Democrats, and there was a push specifically to get the Republicans to vote early.
Trump is in favor of anything that favors him no matter what it is.

And in that vein, R42, Trump will revert to his 2012 stance decrying the evils of the Electoral College in the unlikely, but not impossible, event he loses the Electoral College while winning the popular vote.

I’m sure Hugh Hewitt FLOUNCED off the set. Also, Jonathan Capeheart has always been a gay cunt. His handovers on MSNBC are terrible.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 2, 2024 9:44 AM

R43, Trump has never won the popular vote and his percentage of the popular vote will be less than 2020. So you don’t have to worry about that.

Hugh Hewitt is an unhinged MAGA drama queen, always has been. He writes toe-curling, cringe MAGA love letters to Donald Trump that make Ross Douthat of the NYT seem centrist and reasonable.
No one will miss him. I’m sure he was probably informed that his contract wouldn’t be renewed or something because he added nothing of any value to the paper. He lost any credibility he had long ago, I don’t even remember him having any credibility.
We’ll see more of this once Trump loses next week.

Capehart is such a lightweight, it's surprising he got that kind of reaction.
Like I said, been seeing a lot of MAGA meltdowns, they sense they might lose but can't verbalize it yet. I have noticed this with some relatives who are Trump supporters.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 5, 2024 9:13 AM

Sorry to say- he feels Trump will win and wants a “Trump” job with a future. He’s probably already signed with Fox and this was a dramatic on screen exit.

Hmmm that's a good point r52. Probably a lot of these MAGAts betting on that. Did you see that Megyn Kelly was on stage today at one of Trump "all star" rallies?
She's been trying to be relevant ever since she was fired for her own racist rants on one of the major networks.

I recall when Hugh Hewitt, before he embraced MAGA, was slammed in a nasty way by Trump. Hewitt recoiled awhile, was gone from MSNBC, and was back in the media as a Trump enthusiast. He got his sycophantic interview with Trump.
Hewitt, for a long time, portrayed himself as the prominent, “establishment” Republican conservative journalist with intellectual reasoning. That schtick crashed.

I don't know how Hewitt keeps popping up on TV. Does anyone like that guy? Even Repugs seem indifferent. Why do these channels including MSNBC keep dragging him back into the spotlight?
