What would you like to see Biden do with his final few months in office?

Frankly, I'd like to see some movement on foreign intervention in regards to elections, national security, and government contracts.

Why the shit has Elon Musk been allowed to keep enormous government contracts with security clearance when he is not only in direct contact with Putin, but actually taking marching orders from him on Starlink?

What's going on with TikTok? What's going on with those DOJ RT interference cases?

Look, j'adore Biden--greatest president we've had since FDR. But he is way too soft on foreign policy/national security. Seriously, Biden--get Bibi in line, get Ukraine ANY damn thing they need, and get Russia and China out of our twats!

Anyway, what would be on YOUR honey-do list for Biden?

by Anonymousreply 114November 4, 2024 3:55 PM

He's checked out, OP. Didn't you get the memo? Are you checked out, as well? Who is supposed to do all that and get Biden's signature.

by Anonymousreply 1October 31, 2024 10:16 PM

Deporting Musk would be a start.

by Anonymousreply 2October 31, 2024 10:17 PM

Keep his mouth shut.

by Anonymousreply 3October 31, 2024 10:24 PM

Slapping some faces viciously

Letting major bite any god damned person he wants to

by Anonymousreply 4October 31, 2024 10:27 PM

He has done so well with designating national monuments, I’d like to see a few more.

by Anonymousreply 5October 31, 2024 10:30 PM

Throw Elmo in jail or deport him for being a malicious foreign agent.

by Anonymousreply 6October 31, 2024 10:30 PM

Two months isn't a long time but I'd like to see Joe record an album. Some suggestions: "I Wanna Be Around" "Who's Sorry Now?" "Hurts So Bad"

"I want to be around to pick up the pieces

When somebody breaks your heart

Some somebody twice as smart as I

A somebody who will swear to be true

As you used to do with me

Who'll leave you to learn

That misery loves company, wait and see

And that's when I'll discover that revenge is sweet

As I sit there applauding from a front-row seat

When somebody breaks your heart

Like you, like you broke mine

Arrest Elon Musk.

by Anonymousreply 8October 31, 2024 10:39 PM

Deport or arrest Musk.

Televise Donald's trials. We deserve to watch.

Make sure Garland arrests and prosecutes the Congresspeople involved in J6. If he refuses or sandbags, fire him and bring in someone who will.

Pardon Hunter.

Confirm his is the biggest of the Biden cocks.

by Anonymousreply 9October 31, 2024 10:41 PM

Pardon Hunter because it would make Repug heads explode.

by Anonymousreply 10October 31, 2024 10:43 PM

He needs to test the seal team six protections that the Supreme Court gave the President, forgetting who is president, and have them unalive the males on the court. Then Congress can impeach Barrett for lying to Congress. My personal fever dream.

by Anonymousreply 11October 31, 2024 10:46 PM

Pardon Hunter is #1. It’s the right thing to do.

by Anonymousreply 17October 31, 2024 10:56 PM

I'd like to see him give a round of interviews, now the pressure's off... talking to his accomplishments but also no fucks to give... Joe unplugged.

by Anonymousreply 18October 31, 2024 11:02 PM

All I want is to see him pardon Hunter, or even better, let Kamala.

by Anonymousreply 19October 31, 2024 11:05 PM

R18 Ehh...I think a better medium for that would be a memoir. Not sure Joe, god love him, needs anything else unplugged.

by Anonymousreply 20October 31, 2024 11:06 PM

Kamala should pardon Hunter and Don Jr both for lying about their cocaine use on their gun permit applications.

by Anonymousreply 21October 31, 2024 11:07 PM

Fire MAGA Merrick Garland!

by Anonymousreply 22October 31, 2024 11:08 PM

by Anonymousreply 28October 31, 2024 11:41 PM

"Only a few weeks left for me, but Republican Party, here's notice: 'I am going FUCK YOU UP!'"

by Anonymousreply 29October 31, 2024 11:55 PM

I want him to Pardon Hunter. We all know Hunter is gonna g et pardoned, but it should be on Harris's shoulders. Let Biden do it. And let him exercise immunity to arrest and imprison Trump even if he wins! LOL! Here, have some immunity!

by Anonymousreply 30November 1, 2024 12:45 AM

R30 here. I meant "It should NOT be on Harris's shoulders."

by Anonymousreply 31November 1, 2024 12:46 AM

I’d certainly like to see him use some of that unlimited power given him by the Supreme Court.

by Anonymousreply 37November 1, 2024 3:50 AM

I'd like to clarify which Biden is the bigger brother.

by Anonymousreply 38November 1, 2024 3:52 AM

In his entire tenure as president, I have yet to see that man put sprinkles on his ice cream. It's just always plain, naked, and vanilla.

I've been holding out for nearly 4 years, and feel like now is the time to show us that he isn't biased against sprinkles. It's the least he can do during these delicate times of uncertainty.

by Anonymousreply 39November 1, 2024 3:55 AM

Since the Supreme Court says he can do anything he wants, he could do mankind a great favor and disappear Donald Trump.

by Anonymousreply 40November 1, 2024 3:56 AM

by Anonymousreply 54November 1, 2024 11:30 AM

The Tax returns of Supreme Court will not be scandalous. All the graft is hidden and unreported. It needs an investigation or, really, some kind of clean sweep. They should impeach Thomas, and warn the others to quit or they are next. Biden or Harris should stack the court to marginalize these buffoons who have too much power, presently.

Biden isn't going to do a damned thing. He's a last century, old school politician. He's been content letting republicans get away with crimes for the past 5 decades. Hes not about to change. He's happy with the way the government runs. Democrats refuse to think outside the box. If something hasn't been do before they refuse to even try something new

Jail the Orange stain and his buddy Elon Morelock Musk. Get real about climate change. Take subsidies from the petroleum companies and enact a war time construction act that builds, with the help of the military, the green power industry and utility companies, a state of the art energy grid that covers the US from tip to toe. Bring into existence like they did with the crash of 2008, the money to populate that grid with wind and solar farms and batteries. Ban the sales of new petroleum powered everything. Retool to run on electricity everything that it is possible to do so. Give everybody an electric car that wants one. jail congress members indefinitely in Guantanamo bay Cuba, unless they move to abolish the electoral college system and replace it with one person one vote. They all have dirt, insider trading, tax evasion, etc. go after the supreme court in the same way they have dirt that can be exposed. Extract concessions remove their lifetime appointments. They are dying on the job it is unacceptable. Return the fairness doctrine with an internet update. Lies have to be contained. We can't have babbling idiots deciding to elect babbling idiots and making decisions based on lies they are too dumb to dismiss. Return the separation of banks and investment houses. Return Texas to Mexico.

R69 You do know the president doesn't have the authority to do almost anything on your list, right?

by Anonymousreply 75November 1, 2024 6:22 PM

If Harris wins and the Senate goes to the Republicans I would imagine Biden is going to have to put Harris’ cabinet picks through the lame duck congress session .

I would love to see someone like Doug Jones or Sally Yates as AG. I wonder if Cheney is going to get something too.

by Anonymousreply 82November 1, 2024 10:36 PM

Have Trump arrested.

Have Melania deported.

by Anonymousreply 83November 1, 2024 11:42 PM

Jaimie Raskin for AG

by Anonymousreply 84November 2, 2024 4:21 AM

That's a good one, R84, but I have a feeling that we will need all the Dems we can get in the House. It will be a close Majority. I'm looking at Doug Jones former senator from Alabama. He is an outstanding lawyer. Merrick Garland needs to hand in his resignation yesterday.

by Anonymousreply 85November 2, 2024 4:34 AM

R85 He represents Maryland's 8th district. Something tells me they won't have a problem replacing him with another democrat when he's up for re-election in 2025. In fact, I can't think of a single dem in congress that would be safer for Harris to snatch up.

"Maryland's 8th congressional district is concentrated almost entirely in Montgomery County, with a small portion in Prince George's County.[3] Adjacent to Washington, D.C., the 8th district takes in many of the city’s wealthiest inner-ring suburbs, including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Potomac. It also includes several more economically and racially diverse communities, the most populous of which are Rockville and Silver Spring.

Politically, the district is heavily liberal. It has consistently sent Democratic representatives to Congress by wide margins since 2002. In 2020, Joe Biden won nearly 80% of its vote. Democrat Jamie Raskin has represented the seat since 2017."

by Anonymousreply 86November 2, 2024 5:09 AM

Jasmine Crockett for AG. We need a shit kicking black woman in that job. Maybe then we could find out if the bleach blonde bad built butch body MTG was the 1/6 bomber.

by Anonymousreply 87November 2, 2024 5:12 AM

R87 Love Jasmine Crockett, but she only has a year under her belt in congress and three years total in politics. And frankly, she just doesn't have an impressive enough legal resume. She got her JD at the University of Houston and was a public defender. No shame in any of that, but it's not US AG material. I think she's doing her best work taking on MTG.

Raskin was a senator for 10 years, a congressman for 7 years, a constitutional law professor for 25 years at American University Law School (where he co-founded and directed the LL.M. program on law and government and co-founded the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project). He's a Harvard Law grad. And he was the lead impeachment manager for the second impeachment of Trump after J6.

by Anonymousreply 88November 2, 2024 5:32 AM

He'll be hard-pressed to prevent the second coup machinations. He'll need to act decisively to prevent electoral shenanigans.

by Anonymousreply 89November 2, 2024 5:37 AM

Treat himself and Jill to a colonic.

by Anonymousreply 90November 2, 2024 5:38 AM

Maybe he is right now in the process of negotiating a deal to offer Trump a pardon if he makes sure not to start any shit. Joe won't offer a pardon out of weakness. Trump will have to earn it. It would be a transaction. And accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt. I don't know why, but I just get a sense that Joe is up to something regarding Trump. I think he wants Kamala to have a smooth transition with no bullshit. If members of the MAGA Congress try to start some shit Joe will deal with them harshly.

by Anonymousreply 91November 2, 2024 5:55 PM

^ That's nuts. First of all, the rotten pumpkin hasn't been convicted of anything yet that Joe could pardon. Second, Justice would negotiate any plea deal, the President can't touch it... that's the whole crux of why people are worried about Trump and a second term, because he'd violate that norm too. You're making things up. I get it... I want Harris to win too but that's just bad TV movie thinking, not reality.

by Anonymousreply 92November 2, 2024 6:36 PM

R91 Trump can't be pardoned by Biden in the NY case, it's state not federal. And Biden wouldn't pardon him even if he could. And I don't see Kathy Hochul pardoning Dump either. He's going to rot In jail or house arrest.

by Anonymousreply 93November 2, 2024 6:38 PM

Pardon Hunter. After all the shit Trump’s kids did, Biden should give a gigantic F-U to Republicans and pardon his son.

by Anonymousreply 94November 2, 2024 7:06 PM

Serious question for anyone still monitoring this thread. What if in, say mid-November, Biden dies quietly in his sleep. (I'm not gonna predict the winner).

What would happen?

by Anonymousreply 95November 2, 2024 7:10 PM

If Biden were to pardon Trump it would be an unimaginable stain on his legacy. I (and MANY others) would lose all respect for him.

by Anonymousreply 96November 2, 2024 7:11 PM

R95 Harris, as his VP, would be sworn in temporarily until inauguration day.

by Anonymousreply 97November 2, 2024 7:14 PM

And then Mike Johnson wouldn’t allow her replacement VP to be approved creating a constitutional crisis for Jan 6.

Biden’s job just is to keep his mouth shut and stay alive.

by Anonymousreply 98November 2, 2024 7:48 PM

R98 If we win back the house (which is very likely), Mike Johnson won't have any say in the matter.

by Anonymousreply 99November 2, 2024 7:50 PM

Also, R98, not having a VP for a few weeks wouldn't be the end of the world and without constitutional remedy.

If something were to happen to Harris in the time before inauguration day, the speaker of the house is next in the line of succession and would become the interim president. If that "something" that happened to Harris was death, Walz would be sworn in instead on inauguration day and would have to choose a new VP which Hakeem Jeffries would he responsible for approving.

Pretty much no one thinks we won't be winning back the house.

by Anonymousreply 100November 2, 2024 8:00 PM

Unless Mike Johnson refuses to swear them in. I don’t put anything past that traitorous weasel.

Biden’s job is to stay alive.

by Anonymousreply 101November 2, 2024 8:01 PM

Note that this year the new house is sworn in on noon January 3rd, which is a Friday and there needs to be a VP in place by Monday the 6th.

by Anonymousreply 102November 2, 2024 8:04 PM

Go on Prevagen.

by Anonymousreply 103November 2, 2024 8:04 PM

R102 Right, so that could be the first thing done in session on the 3rd.

If a president's VP dies or is forced to resign, it's not like said president is only given 24-hours to replace him. There is a next in line of succession in place should anything happen to POTUS, and that is the speaker of the house.

by Anonymousreply 104November 2, 2024 8:11 PM

We didn't get bleep! He used us like a 20 dollar 1980s West Hollywood crack whore!

by Anonymousreply 105November 2, 2024 8:14 PM

R100 Why so certain we will win back the house? Hasn't gerrymandering gotten a lot worse these last few years?

by Anonymousreply 106November 2, 2024 9:24 PM

R106 Democrats only need to gain back five seats to control the house, and have many paths to achieving that.

by Anonymousreply 107November 2, 2024 9:46 PM

This thread has taken a cheery turn.

by Anonymousreply 108November 2, 2024 11:17 PM

In Presidential Election years the Democrats tend to gain House seats.

This is why the big Dem wins in 2018 were so unusual.

by Anonymousreply 109November 3, 2024 7:18 PM

January 3rd is not an arbitrary date. It is specifically referred to in the United States Constitution.

by Anonymousreply 110November 4, 2024 1:32 AM

Yes, but sometimes it falls on a Monday or Tuesday which puts a couple of business days between it and the 6th.

by Anonymousreply 111November 4, 2024 1:38 AM

He should test those limits of presidential power the Supreme Court meant for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 112November 4, 2024 1:46 AM

I’m sure they have two post Election Day agendas, based on which parties will control the House and Senate.

by Anonymousreply 113November 4, 2024 2:19 AM

He should and could do many things to help our democracy but he won’t. I would not be surprised if he made a Trump victory easier just to get back at Dems.
