Never read the novel, just watched the film- Last Exit To Brooklyn

Holy shit- it really resonated- especially now..

The near final scene (spoiler) with Jennifer Jason Lee and the kid who had a crush on her made me cry my eyes out.

The film brought to life a dystopian cruel world but that kid and his kindness /humanity/innocence was a glimmer of hope that good does exist.

(I will say that I did not buy any of the gay parts- there is no way in hell a bunch of street thugs would go hang in the apartment of some gay guys and drag queens in 1952)

Overall a pretty great film with some really creepy parallels to our nasty MAGA friends...

I am going to order the book now. I already own Requiem For a Dream
