If the Academy really does love the movie and thinks they're both great in it, then they should award Grande this time and Erivo when Part 2 comes out, because assuming it's fairly faithful to the stage show, Elphaba is more central in Part 2.

Saw Wicked Yesterday and I called it..if shegoes for best supporting actress she'll win. Shes a revelation. Shes utterly spellbinding. The movie is stunning and funny and keeps pace thr whole way through. The songs dont even really feel needed.
