I bet he's a good kisser

by Anonymousreply 1October 30, 2024 4:01 PM

Does the city really smell like a sewer?

by Anonymousreply 2October 30, 2024 4:02 PM

I just realized that never in my life have I thought about kids and teenagers living in Venice. I guess in my mind it's like Disneyland, not as an actual living breathing city with teenager. Odd, I know but never put two and two together.

by Anonymousreply 3October 30, 2024 4:04 PM

r1 and I bet his cock is nice and uncut, ready to shoot fresh spunk. He's 18 so free game!

by Anonymousreply 4October 30, 2024 4:05 PM

His female friend on the water bus is casually gorgeous.

Their lifestyle sounds so realizing.

What's sad is the lack of green spaces. A true concrete jungle.

by Anonymousreply 5October 30, 2024 4:09 PM

Yes, r2.

by Anonymousreply 6October 30, 2024 4:10 PM

R5, mostly true, but Venice has a surprising number of gardens and small parks.

by Anonymousreply 7October 30, 2024 4:14 PM

I guess picking up the garbage every day is one solution for having nowhere to store it. Many NYC should try it.

by Anonymousreply 8October 30, 2024 4:50 PM

Moist.

by Anonymousreply 9October 30, 2024 4:51 PM

All of those teens at his school are attractive, and none are overweight.

Why is that?

by Anonymousreply 10October 30, 2024 4:53 PM

Wasn’t there a series a few years ago about kids in a U.S. Army (?) school across near Venice? I know we discussed it here. There was homosex IIRC.

by Anonymousreply 11October 30, 2024 5:02 PM

Not that many people actually live in Venice these days, so it's interesting to see this.

by Anonymousreply 12October 30, 2024 5:07 PM

R10, gee, I don't know. Probably something something something no black people and certain not something something something Venice tends to be inhabited by the upper and upper middle class.

by Anonymousreply 13October 30, 2024 5:40 PM

Crazy to casually live in a home your family has owned for like 250 years.

by Anonymousreply 14October 30, 2024 6:31 PM

[quote]Not that many people actually live in Venice these days, so it's interesting to see this.

The historical center of Venice has around 51,000 full time residents.

by Anonymousreply 15October 30, 2024 7:09 PM

My God, did you see how gorgeous those kids are.

He's handsome, heathy and happy. His girlfriend is a beauty.

by Anonymousreply 16October 30, 2024 7:14 PM

I would have been such a slut if I went to school or study abroad in Italy because my goodness those men were fine! But his dad's photo reminds me to get 'em while young because all those carbs will come back to haunt them.

by Anonymousreply 17October 30, 2024 8:20 PM

Interesting - I guess you don't mind the crowds if that's all you know. Like kids in NYC.

They always talk about how young men live at home - 2/3 of men between 18-34 they say in the video.

But what about young women? Are they living alone or together? Is it just unmarried men who stay home?

I don't get it.

by Anonymousreply 18October 30, 2024 8:35 PM

The USA:

"According to a new survey from Harris Poll for Bloomberg, roughly 45% of people ages 18 to 29 are living at home with their families — the highest figure since the 1940s."

"More than 60% of Gen-Zers and millennials reported moving back home in the past two years, according to the poll, often because of financial challenges."

by Anonymousreply 19October 30, 2024 8:56 PM

That ain't the Venice, Illinois, I know.

Nosuh.

by Anonymousreply 20October 30, 2024 8:58 PM

That was actually kind of fascinating. Thanks, OP!

Beautiful way to grow up, it would seem to me, but all that casual (and heavy) early smoking and drinking was sad to see and hear about.

by Anonymousreply 21October 30, 2024 9:10 PM

Six time visitor to Venice and I have never experienced an odor resembling sewage. I think it is the most magnificent city I've ever been to, and is probably the only place outside the US/Canada that I would move to permanently if I could. I mean, look at the video at 1:55!

I love the bit about the rubbish that he takes out -- I once saw someone hanging their garbage out on a rope that the sanitation crews would untie and remove. I have no claims to Italian citizenship, but I would love to spend an afternoon playing cards and drinking (cigarettes optional).

by Anonymousreply 22October 30, 2024 9:17 PM

What was that gadget all the boys were inserting their cigarettes into? Is that an Italian thing?

by Anonymousreply 23October 30, 2024 9:22 PM

R2, no, not at all

by Anonymousreply 24October 30, 2024 9:29 PM

R23 - I thought they were vapes, but I guess not.

I thought of cigarette holders - but who has those in 2024?

It's funny, cause watching it, you think, gee, this kid has such a healthy, charmed life, growing up in such a magical city. But then it ends with him and all his super hot friends sitting on an island, gambling, drinking Campari and chain-smoking cigarettes.

I bet they age very quickly in Venice.

by Anonymousreply 26October 31, 2024 2:00 AM

R26, you don't say.

Yes, you, like a ghostly cricket, creaking where a house was burned:

"Dust and ashes, dead and done with, Venice spent what Venice earned."

"The soul, doubtless, is immortal—where a soul can be discerned."

by Anonymousreply 27October 31, 2024 2:09 AM

Veneto is the region of Italy with the second highest life expectancy: 83.1

by Anonymousreply 28October 31, 2024 2:20 AM

Very interesting to see and hear about the life of an average 18-year-old young man living in one of the most visited spots on earth.

He's way more mature, confident, and interesting than his American counterparts.

by Anonymousreply 29October 31, 2024 2:24 AM

R28, life expectancy and aging are actually two different things.

by Anonymousreply 30October 31, 2024 2:24 AM

R29, talk to a well-born young person in Boston, New York, New Orleans or LA.

They might surprise you.

by Anonymousreply 31October 31, 2024 2:25 AM

[quote]life expectancy and aging are actually two different things.

Go to Italy and look at the masses and compare them to Americans, especially the older people.

by Anonymousreply 32October 31, 2024 2:29 AM

True, R31. The average American teenager does not have that ease of confidence, however.

by Anonymousreply 33October 31, 2024 2:32 AM

If that young man is performing in that video, he may not exactly be the average Venetian teenager.

by Anonymousreply 34October 31, 2024 2:46 AM

Those kids are growing up in a perfectly safe environment with a sweet slow pace, surrounded by astounding beauty. It will have an effect. Living in Tuscany for decades, I recognize that guy as an example of the average Italian teenager.

by Anonymousreply 35October 31, 2024 2:59 AM

I just assumed everyone in Venice was a tourist

by Anonymousreply 36October 31, 2024 3:04 AM

He'll come out when he moves away to university, until then its fly under the radar around the bros

by Anonymousreply 37October 31, 2024 3:28 AM

I stayed on the Lido a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. It’s an island across the Venetian Lagoon and has a casual, residential vibe. Fewer canals, very walkable and leafy. Fun story: we had to leave at 330 AM to take a water taxi to the airport. It was 45 minutes of boating through pitch black Venice.

by Anonymousreply 39October 31, 2024 3:44 AM

Like growing up in Disney Land.

by Anonymousreply 40October 31, 2024 3:44 AM

R33 bloody hell. What do you know about the "average American teenage" except in your sexual fantasies you ancient limey queen?😄

by Anonymousreply 41October 31, 2024 3:51 AM

Nick and his friends are hot.

by Anonymousreply 42October 31, 2024 11:56 AM

Another young hottie talks about growing up in Venice.

Um, that's the same hottie. Or the link is bad.

Lido is Dullsville, except at festival time.

Best neighborhood to stay—where he lives: Dorsodoro.

by Anonymousreply 45December 11, 2024 10:13 PM

His mother is American, lucky woman.
