Helping Kamala Harris, Mike Johnson Vows to Kill Obamacare

No Obamacare?” one attendee asked Johnson, referring to the law Democrats passed in 2010, also known as the Affordable Care Act.

“No Obamacare,” Johnson responded, rolling his eyes. “The ACA is so deeply ingrained, we need massive reform to make this work and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that.”

Cunts

by Anonymousreply 1October 30, 2024 1:17 PM

Fuck obamacare. It's not even affordable to poor people. Just designed to make more money for big insurance companies.

by Anonymousreply 2October 30, 2024 1:25 PM

MAGA states don’t have it anyway. And Kentucky calls theirs something else so people there are against it as well.

by Anonymousreply 3October 30, 2024 1:26 PM

This hateful little freak also wants to fix it so insurance companies can deny you coverage or drop you from your policy for pre-existing conditions.

You know, the type of thing Jesus would do.

by Anonymousreply 4October 30, 2024 1:29 PM

When are they going to ban neo-fascist, deeply closeted fags like this assclown from running for public office?

by Anonymousreply 5October 30, 2024 1:34 PM

This little turd with Ken hair fell ass backwards into a job for which he’s woefully unqualified. Can’t wait until Hakeem Jeffries takes his seat after the election.

by Anonymousreply 6October 30, 2024 1:35 PM

[quote]It's not even affordable to poor people.

Which is why it merges with Medicaid on the poor and indigent level.

People who say that Healthcare Exchanges are too expensive, are either liars or make too much money for a no-premium plan. Plus, if your circumstances change drastically, you can enroll anytime. Moses Mike is a nasty little fucker who probably receives cash from the Southern Baptist Conference directly. The SBC needs to be audited for money laundering.

by Anonymousreply 7October 30, 2024 1:54 PM

R3

We have it in Texas but without the Medicaid match, because Perry, Abbott, et al, are assholes.

by Anonymousreply 8October 30, 2024 2:22 PM

What do you think of Allred's chances against Cruz, R8?

by Anonymousreply 9October 30, 2024 2:28 PM

And that’s all they’ve got. “Ideas”.

by Anonymousreply 10October 30, 2024 2:43 PM

Let's not forget that Dump promised a big, beautiful, healthcare plan that everyone will love during his first term in office. Now, nine years later we learn he has CONCEPTS of a healthcare plan. If there really was a BIG, BEAUTIFUL healthcare proposal out there, I don't think anyone would give a hoot if the Affordable Care Act was repealed. But there is not. Concepts and ideas do not make for a plan.

by Anonymousreply 11October 30, 2024 2:51 PM

Their "plan" is for only the ultra wealthy to be able to afford anything other than Pepto Bismol or band-aids. Their "plan" is to make you a slave until you die from lack of medical care.

Here's Moses Mike, spelling out their "plan". If you vote for these evil pricks, you are a fool.

"October Surprise: Speaker Johnson lets slip him and Trump's "secret" is to repeal the Affordable Care Act and pre-existing conditions protections in first 100 days"

Ironically, Obamacare was originally proposed by the GOP. The Heritage Foundation developed the idea, and the GOP presented it as the challenger to HillaryCare. Then Romney passed it in Massachusetts.

The reason why the GOP can't come up with an alternative is that this IS the GOP's plan--keeping private insurance, relying on markets to determine pricing, mandating everyone buy insurance to keep money in the system to pay for care. The second Obama proposed this exact idea, suddenly the GOP jumped against it.

While it has stabilized prices for the time being, ACA is just a band-aid that won't hold prices much longer. The only viable option is single payer, like almost every other developed country has adopted--far cheaper, better outcomes, covers everyone.

by Anonymousreply 13October 30, 2024 3:17 PM

He better watch out--because Americans, especially the hicks that he represents--now approve of ACA by a majority. They have seen first hand how it has saved lives.

Any GOP change would center around taking healthcare away from people to increase medical industry profits.

by Anonymousreply 14October 30, 2024 3:19 PM

ACA then Social Security and Medicare

by Anonymousreply 15October 30, 2024 3:20 PM

Someone should remind them that just a couple weeks ago at the vice presidential debate, JD Vance was bragging (lying) that the orange one saved Obamacare. These fucking people.

by Anonymousreply 16October 30, 2024 3:32 PM

If Trump wins, all the poor deplorables that voted for him will get smacked hard with "surprise" after "surprise."

The ACA will go, and Social Security and Medicare will be diminished if not entirely dismantled.

With migrants deported and immigrants walled off from our country, inflation will soar - produce, beef and dairy will soar in prices due to labor costs.

Not that it matters to Republicans or Trump, who will just use it as an excuse to blame those things on Democrats, too.

by Anonymousreply 17October 30, 2024 3:37 PM

They want you to come begging to their chiurches, which worked so well during the AIDS crisis.

by Anonymousreply 18October 30, 2024 3:40 PM

[quote] He better watch out--because Americans, especially the hicks that he represents--now approve of ACA by a majority. They have seen first hand how it has saved lives.

Repubs attempting to repeal Obamacare would be as dumb as going to NYC to gain voters and then making derogatory comments about Puerto Ricans.

by Anonymousreply 19October 30, 2024 3:50 PM

[quote]Let's not forget that Dump promised a big, beautiful, healthcare plan that everyone will love during his first term in office.

His healthcare plan is the same place as his big, beautiful border wall. Nonexistent.

by Anonymousreply 20October 30, 2024 3:55 PM

Keeping their corporate masters happy.

by Anonymousreply 21October 30, 2024 4:02 PM

The Democrats need to win this thing and when they do they need to start actually governing. Should the dumb be able to vote to have their healthcare made off limits to themselves. Should the dumb be able to vote for a border all around themselves. Yes. These are natural consequences to their state of being.. Should the dumb be able to vote for the rest of us to have our heath car made unobtainable. Should the dumb be able to vote for a border wall around the whole nation?, no, they shouldn't be able to vote for the non dumb. We really need to change this electoral college system. Why isn' t it a priority!

by Anonymousreply 22October 30, 2024 4:10 PM

To govern, the Dems need to win the House AND the senate. Republicans for Harris are fed up with Trump but will still vote R down ticket. The Dems need to come in at an overwhelming majority so there won’t be egotistical-spoilers like Manchin and Sinema screwing up. Only then can Harris effectively govern.

by Anonymousreply 23October 30, 2024 5:46 PM

The abortion issue is pushing a lot of congress to the blue side. Even in deeply red states. Let's Hope its a blue sweep.

by Anonymousreply 24October 30, 2024 9:41 PM

Son, it’s my turn for the Jergens!

by Anonymousreply 25October 30, 2024 9:53 PM

Someone needs to remind Johnson how many people in his state receive health care through Medicaid because we were lucky enough to have a Democratic governor who agreed to the expansion.

by Anonymousreply 26October 30, 2024 9:57 PM

I don't understand how he can "kill" Obamacare if they lose more than four seats?

by Anonymousreply 27October 30, 2024 10:05 PM

I hate to break this to you but millions of Americans hate Obamacare and blame it for their premiums skyrocketing and shitty medical coverage. They have no idea what it is or what it does. Obamacare isn’t Medicare. Medicare Americans understand. Obamacare is something white America still bitches about and they’ll be at the polls pulling the level for the Orange Doofus who says he has the concept of a plan.

by Anonymousreply 28October 30, 2024 10:06 PM

I really want to see him roughed up by a gay biker club.

by Anonymousreply 29October 30, 2024 10:07 PM

[quote]Fuck obamacare. It's not even affordable to poor people. Just designed to make more money for big insurance companies.

Government subsidies ensure that poor people don't pay a penny for Obamacare.

(Whether they can afford deductibles and copays is another matter.)

by Anonymousreply 30October 30, 2024 10:07 PM

They've got concepts of plan...

by Anonymousreply 31October 30, 2024 10:09 PM

The people regularly complaining about Obamacare just don't know how it works. Sorry that's it's really complicated for you, Randy, but you couldn't manage fifteen cents if your life depended on it.

by Anonymousreply 32October 30, 2024 10:10 PM

"I hate to break this to you but millions of Americans hate Obamacare and blame it for their premiums skyrocketing and shitty medical coverage."

I hate to break this to you but you're pulling shit out of your prolapsed asshole and claiming they're facts.

by Anonymousreply 33October 30, 2024 10:15 PM

R29 Fist and no lube

by Anonymousreply 34October 30, 2024 10:16 PM

R32 and r33 belong in the republican party. Judgemental classist white assholes.

by Anonymousreply 35October 30, 2024 10:17 PM

R35, your comment makes no sense.

by Anonymousreply 36October 30, 2024 10:54 PM

[quote]but millions of Americans hate Obamacare and blame it for their premiums skyrocketing and shitty medical coverage.

Only rich people complain. The ACA Exchanges will only show me $0 premium options. If you have high premiums, it's because you have high income. I believe that OCare is capped at 6% of gross income.

by Anonymousreply 37October 30, 2024 11:30 PM

[quote]"I hate to break this to you but millions of Americans hate Obamacare and blame it for their premiums skyrocketing and shitty medical coverage."

Presumably the same Americans who hate Obamacare but love the ACA.

by Anonymousreply 38October 31, 2024 12:06 AM

I thought their “better” plan basically rolled things back to the way they were pre-ACA.

by Anonymousreply 39October 31, 2024 12:09 AM

I know this sounds strange, but I would love to hate fuck him. I think he's so hot.

by Anonymousreply 40October 31, 2024 12:20 AM

Before Obamacare, I could not obtain quality insurance at a reasonable price because I ran my own business and did not quality for any group plans. Since I went through the Affordable Care Act, I was able to have the surgery I couldn't afford because of my preexisting medical condition. Since I've been diagnosed with dementia, I've had no problem maintaining a policy that hasn't become more expensive because of this condition.

I would have gone bankrupt and will have to sell my house in order to pay the hospital bills. I wouldn't be alone. Is this what you people who want to repeal really want? What if it happened to you?

by Anonymousreply 41October 31, 2024 12:33 AM

R36 defending the most conservative policies of the Democratic party that hurt the very poor like "obamacare" as a substitute for single payer health insurance is not very progressive. It's what the bougie Kamala democrat wants which makes them more like republicans than progressives

by Anonymousreply 42October 31, 2024 12:33 AM

R42, I think you need to take a step back and see what the Obama administration and the congressional Dems were up against when Obamacare was passed. Obama did not have a magic wand. FYI neither does Kamala

by Anonymousreply 43October 31, 2024 2:27 AM

If they repeal ACA I hope they pass out the shots so we can all put ourselves to sleep. Because a lot of sick people aren't going to be able to afford to live.

by Anonymousreply 44October 31, 2024 5:21 AM

Yes, we need to be very Progressive and hand complete control of our healthcare to Mike Johnson and his cronies in Congress. I’m sure they would take very good care of us all with nationalized healthcare.

by Anonymousreply 45October 31, 2024 5:29 AM

New gray/white highlights for Missy Mike Johnson! Just in time to take your back bench seat in the House come January 3rd. Maybe Gym Jordan or Miss Lindz will suck you off in the congressional locker room.

by Anonymousreply 46October 31, 2024 6:31 AM

I'm sure Mike and Gym go knob to knob in the House sauna. Whoever has tried to take away more rights from Americans that week wins and gets sucked off by the other one.

by Anonymousreply 47October 31, 2024 2:40 PM

My Trump-lovin' sister quit her job and essentially 'retired'. As an afterthought, she got an Obamacare plan. Flash forward two years and she developed breast cancer. Months of expensive treatments that would have devastated her and her retired husband financially. They would have literally lost the farm.

Oh, and she has had two abortions: one as a teen, another for a surprise late-40's pregnancy.

by Anonymousreply 48October 31, 2024 3:04 PM

r48, I hope you take every opportunity to remind her that she is enjoying the fruits of 'socialized' medicine. I fucking hate, hate, hate, hate these maga people.

by Anonymousreply 49October 31, 2024 3:47 PM

MAGA healthcare plan: "Thoughts and prayers!"

by Anonymousreply 50October 31, 2024 5:54 PM

I think we’ve already seen how the repeal of Roe in the Dobbs decision has obviously been an absolute disaster of intended and unintended consequences.

Giving these people the responsibility over our entire healthcare system would be a disaster of even more epic proportions with even greater urgency. And the way they would deal with those consequences would be to just deny them.

We know this.

by Anonymousreply 51October 31, 2024 7:39 PM

The GOP hates ACA because it represents only the wealthy.

The wealthy have to pay taxes to bolster ACA. The whole raison d'etre for the GOP is to reduce the taxes of the wealthy

by Anonymousreply 52October 31, 2024 7:52 PM

Keep the government out of my Medicare!

by Anonymousreply 53October 31, 2024 7:54 PM

That’s not how the ACA works at all, R52. But, okay.

by Anonymousreply 54October 31, 2024 8:05 PM

R47 Mike Johnson seems like the type of person who masturbates with his son.

by Anonymousreply 55October 31, 2024 8:05 PM

Can someone please release the Tim Tales sex tape that Johnson did with Ridder Rivera? Please…?

by Anonymousreply 56October 31, 2024 8:09 PM

r52, the wealthy have to pay higher PREMIUMS for the ACA Exchanges.

Just like rich people have to pay IRMAA for Medicare.

And rich people like to bitch about any monies spent on Americans.

Because Republicans like to keep Americans poor, sick and stupid.

by Anonymousreply 57October 31, 2024 8:11 PM

R52, you're an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 58October 31, 2024 9:43 PM

[quote] The GOP hates ACA because it represents only the wealthy.

You're not even a GOOD troll.
