The trailer for "Queer" is here!

Some severely tantalizing tastes of lots of homosex to come.

-----------------------

The trailer for “Queer,” starring Daniel Craig and “Outer Banks” breakout Drew Starkey, has been released by A24. Helmed by “Challengers” and “Call Me By Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes, the film is set for a theatrical release starting Nov. 27.

“Queer,” based on the semi-autobiographical novel by William Burroughs, is set in Mexico City during the 1940s and follows William Lee (Craig), an American expat living mostly in isolation among American college students and bar owners. He becomes infatuated with a discharged American Navy serviceman, Eugene Allerton (Starkey), a drug user who eventually becomes involved with Lee after initially being indifferent to his advances. Jason Schwartzman, Lesley Manville and Omar Apollo co-star.

Finally! Looks good. Don't know why it's geoblocked in my country though.

R1, I've seen that a few times when travelling abroad. It's basically a rights/IP issue. You might try looking for the clip on whatever YouTube site is available where you are. (Also, it just went up a few hours ago, so they may be holding off on dropping it outside the US, if they don't have distribution set up for it yet.)

It looks good

Craig is a good actor and hot in an unconventional way.

I was most surprised by Drew Starkey, having only previously seen him on "Outer Banks," where he plays a frat bro type – his best friend is named Topper and seems to have been almost directly ripped off from James Spader's douchebag character in "Pretty in Pink" – turned sociopath. I know the show doesn't allow for much in the way of depth, but Starkey is almost *unrecognizable* in it versus "Queer"! (and definitely giving a gay vibe of the nonobvious sort)

Also, I'd argue Craig isn't unconventionally hot; he just IS hot. (Even when not buffed up to Bond proportions.) Not to mention funny as fuck, if you've seen the "Knives Out" movies. This is one I'll definitely go see at the theater. (If I'm pretty sure it'll be shitty, e.g. "Bros," I'd wait till it's on streaming, but this film's early buzz is clearly strong.)

Also, Drew *definitely* worked out for the role. He has nearly zero definition on "Outer Banks," but looks to have a nicely toned swimmer's bod here.

Lesley Manville goes fug so she'll probably be nominated.
