CiJi on Knots Landing- anyone else a fan of the character on season 4?

Ciji was the kind of character specifically designed for Datalounge.

I remember that storyline. Ciji was a popular character. Richard accused Ciji and Laura of having a lesbian affair.

R2 yes. Numerous times and the final straw was when he came home and saw them hugging in his house. He threw CiJi out without hesitation.

It didn’t help that Laura got that dykey mullet in season 4.

I liked Ciji but hated her lookalike Cathy. The show would come to a halt when she started singing. And she was an asshole. When Joshua was a dick to her, Val stood up for her against Joshua and Lilimae. Cathy repaid her by trying to steal Ben.

I wonder why KL never capitalized on the popularity of Ciji and Laura and had the two actresses do a tastefully done nude pictorial together...

She was good as CiJi. I didn’t like Cathy

My boyfriend and I watched everyday in the 90s when TNT reran it weekdays. When Ciji died- even though we knew it would happen- we both ended up feeling sad. We even named our new cat Ciji.

I wasn’t crazy about Cathy either. And I hated Cathy’s wardrobe.

My cousin named her daughter "Courtney Grace," and planned to call her "Ciji" in honor of the character, whom she loved. fortunately, when the character left the show, she forgot about that and just called her daughter "Courtney" (which isn't a great name, but much better than "Ciji").

The only reason people loved CiJi was because she was the underdog and towns punching bag. Everyone treated that girl like shit minus Kenny and Gary.

My older sisters, who were probably KL's biggest fans, thought Lisa Harman was the best singer ever. Especially this gem. They grew out of it. I think.

Ciji and Cathy both looked like white trash, like they drove a Camaro with a cigarette dangling out of their mouths and a menagerie of children with different fathers.

Lisa Hartman tried to make it as a dual actress and singer after finding fame on KL. She did 2-3 pop albums for Atlantic Records in the middle to late 80s. The first one was a smallish success but nothing really came out of her music career as far as commercial or industry success

Ciji/Cathy were my least favorite characters on the show.

Clint Black came out her her music career. With all the money that came with that. I always liked Clint's music but had no idea how much of it he sold. Go look up his discography. It almost rivals Garth Brook's.

Lookalike characters were always disastrous for nighttime soap operas--they never worked. Remember Krystle's evil "twin" Rita on 'Dynasty"?

the only thing I liked about the Ciji storyline was Michael Sabatino as the evil Chip. He was really hot.
