Bosa professed his admiration for Trump long before he became an NFL star and Trump in turn praised Bosa’s MAGA allegiance. However, the former Ohio State All-American said he scrubbed problematic Twitter posts in anticipation of the 49ers drafting him in 2019.

One social media message that drew ire was Bosa calling then-49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick a “clown” in 2016 after Kaepernick took a knee during the national anthem to protest social injustice. Bosa insisted the insult was not about Kaepernick’s activism.

On Sunday Bosa wore a white MAGA hat with gold lettering, which wasn’t as obvious as the more common red cap with white lettering. But critics noticed.

I saw one of the longest tv political ads in history that was not a full blow program. It was a patriotic music filled, manly , strong, manly, flag showing , manly Trump ad , it was the perfect ad to show to American male football fans. You know the majority of American males who have no idea what DL is.

And if you are objective at all about the quality of political ads this was one fucking great political ad.

Later I saw some GOP ads addressing ugly looking MtF trans people. It’s never the stunning good looking they show.

R12, I would argue that the Trump campaign felt that they needed to spend dwindling resources on an ad during a very expensive show in which to buy ads, means that they are playing defense and are worried.

It would seem that the NFL audience, who one assumes are more likely to be more male and more likely GOP voters, shouldn’t need mini-movie ads to keep them engaged.

You want to spend your ad dollars when people are watching. That ad hit a home run as far as placement time . And it must have cost a fortune.

You would imagine a MAGA hat meets that definition.
