Amazon has released their first color Kindle and I want it but can’t justify the price. Can’t believe they’re charging $280 for this. But I’m still debating.
Meh.

Don't see the point. The Kindle app works fine on my tablet.

Why spend that kind of money when an Amazon Fire tablet goes for half that or even less ?

Because a Fire tablet is a regular screen, like an iPad or your phone. Reading on it for extended periods of times lead to eye strain and headaches, and can lead to eye damage. That’s why they say use blue light glasses while on your phones.
Kindles and ereaders are made with anti-glare screens and electronic ink to look like actual paper, which causes no issues to your eyes.

Electronic ink? Is that what we call low contrast now?

R5 has clearly never held a kindle.

Wait for the next Prime Days OP - usually in July - They tend to heavily discount their own products then
Or try Cyber Monday which is Dec 2 this year

I stand corrected, R6.
