Aside from the literal generation gap? (Connor's a millennial, and Bash is Gen Z. And yes, they have considerable differences.) The main part is a 30something man "crushing" on a college-age kid not even on the same continent as himself.

There's nothing "wrong" with anything here; it's simply sad that Connor seems to have nearly zero gay friends in an actual gay mecca. I only watch his IG stories intermittently, but if he's in a photo with someone else, it's usually his mom or sister. Seriously. If anything I'm wondering if this is basically akin to the problems that routinely plague child actors after they grow up, and I think we all know how massively fucked up they can be even if NOT subjected to abuse a la Corey Haim or Feldman.

He spent most of his teens & early 20s working on remote TV sets far from home. (He was on "Falling Skies" for its entire TNT run, and it filmed near Vancouver, not Toronto.) And it seems like he has no real peer group, at the age of 30. Also sad, and potentially why he's obsessing over an unattainable guy.

Connor and Bash are clearly good friends and Connor is, equally clearly, semi-obsessed with Bash. They went on holiday together with Bash's then-boyfriend, with Connor ever the third-wheel.
