Who else loves this delicious and divine fruit?
It makes a better-than lemon-curd and just works well in baking/desserts in general.

Where is it sold?

R1, Mexican and Latin supermarkets sometimes have them. Whole Foods, too, but marked up x 4.

Never eaten the fruit, OP, but when I was based in London for a while these beauties grew wild behind the houses.

Generally, I like passion fruit.
However, I've rarely come across an interesting or unique way it's incorporated into anything. It's usually front and center - as if just being an uncommonly used fruit - being passin fruit - is sufficient to elevate whatever it's being used in or on.
Yes, passion fruit is a nice alternative as a glaze or swirled on a plate to make a fancy design and add a touch of flavor...and?

R7, passion fruit juice is lovely to drink. If you like sweet + tart, it's hard to beat. I do miss that in Colombia you can buy passion fruit juice pretty much anywhere for under $1.

Passion fruit is kind of rare and the yield on one fruit is kind of low (lots of refuse vs. yield). It also has a strong, delicious (IMO) flavor and beautiful color. So, I think that's why cooks tend to put it front and center in a dish.
I love it and have had it on cheesecake. Also have had a pie (passion fruit substituted for key lime juice).

Living in Australia and New Zealand passionfruit vines grow like weeds. Our backyard gardens and sheds etc are covered in plants. Easy to grow but very hungry feeders. Passionfruit pulp goes on Pavlova at Xmas. It can be made into curd or simply eaten from the fruit with a spoon. The best, yum.

I'd love to have a passion fruit Pavlova. Never had a Pavlova, actually.

R10, lucky! I wish they would grow in my part of the world.

R11, if you don't want to go the full hog of a Pavlova try Eton mess. Easy to put together when you buy just basic meringues at the Supermarket, cream and fresh fruits. Buy a small tin of sweetened passionfruit pulp to mix thru. I'm sure Ina or Martha have a recipe. Good luck.

R16, some Colombian people told me they consider it an aphrodisiac! It's definitely robust.

The ROI isn’t worth it. Same with kiwi fruit.

I grew up on Oahu. Up the closest valley where we lived, Lilikoi (passionfruit) grew wild. As kids, we'd hike upstream with large duffel bags, taking note of what fruit was hanging down stream. When we felt we could get a good enough haul, we'd start picking & head back down stream picking as we went. Extra bonus if we found crayfish in the stream!!!! We sometimes couldnt zip the bags shut we picked so many! We'd wait on the corner for our mom or our neighbors mom to pick us up. We'd take them home & our moms would make the most amazing lilikoi juice, syrup for our pancakes, & lilikoi muffins & bread. We'd go every few weeks as they grew like weeds & it seemed to be our secret place. We visited years ago, the valley has been built up with ugly houses & the stream is now a culvert......

In Brazil, passion fruit mousse (mousse de maracujá) is a favorite dessert. It is often topped with creme de cassis, a blackcurrant liqueur that adds a sweet and slightly tart contrast to the tangy passion fruit mousse.
