Need a distraction from this miserable election season? Check out the Bob Lee murder trial

Anyone tracking the murder trial of the San Francisco tech mogul? Some shady stuff going on with heavy partying, drug use and a shadowy, big-busted Faye Resnick lookalike at the center of it all. No gay sex involved (at least so far) but otherwise pretty compelling stuff.

The sister of the killer is so evil.

For sure. She is a shady character. Married, hanging out with drug dealers and DJ’s. She’s treating the trial like a catwalk. Bizarre.

The sister is a piece of work. We had wondered about her marriage to the plastic surgeon in the thread when the murder was committed. Turns out they live in separate apartments in Millennium Tower. Hmm.

She doesn’t seem too broken up,about her bf dead and her brother on trial for murder.

by Anonymousreply 4November 15, 2024 4:44 PM

Two DUIs in a two month period. She has a penchant for huffing nitrous oxide and crashing her Mercedes into other vehicles.

The SIXTH fucking day of jury deliberations, FFS?

Do these Persian fuckers and their white drug addict daughter crashing her Mercedes repeatedly after inhaling whippits and more in two counties think they run San Francisco? Fuck's sake.

You had me at the “whore of high tower”.

by Anonymousreply 8December 16, 2024 11:11 AM

Bob Lee was cute as all fuck

by Anonymousreply 9December 16, 2024 11:55 AM

The killing is on videotape and the jury is deadlocked?

by Anonymousreply 10December 16, 2024 1:11 PM

No one has said anything about a deadlock. Learn to read.

by Anonymousreply 11December 16, 2024 1:15 PM

I can’t read a video. I’m using “deadlocked” as shorthand for no verdict after 6 days. Seems like a pretty clear case.

by Anonymousreply 12December 16, 2024 1:19 PM

Your shorthand is ignorant.

by Anonymousreply 13December 16, 2024 1:23 PM

It’s a valid assumption.

by Anonymousreply 14December 16, 2024 1:30 PM

Did they get to someone on the jury? Mistrial!

by Anonymousreply 15December 16, 2024 1:34 PM

[QUOTE]Your shorthand is ignorant.

Rather than being a supercilious, cunty priss r11, why didn't you explain why the common usage of "deadlocked" is incorrect?

We understand your stated superiority, sir. Why can't you let us lesser legal beings know?

by Anonymousreply 16December 16, 2024 5:45 PM

A deadlocked jury is one that sends a note to the judge specifying that it is unable to reach a unanimous verdict. A jury continuing to deliberate, without any such note, is not hung—ipso facto.

Get it now, oh clueless non-lawyer?!

by Anonymousreply 17December 16, 2024 7:48 PM

A jury can be deadlocked before they tell the judge that they are hopelessly deadlocked.. 6 days of deliberations probably means they are unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Some outside chance they are just being very methodical, but they are must likely split.

by Anonymousreply 18December 16, 2024 9:25 PM

None of the cast of characters in this tawdry case, including the victim, are likable people at all. They come off as self-indulgent, petty and low class.

by Anonymousreply 19December 16, 2024 9:29 PM

Verdict tomorrow morning.

I think the defense was very clever to introduce "evidence" that the assailant reprimanded the victim for partying all weekend instead of spending time with his kids during his limited stay in SF. I'll bet this is the sticking point for the jury. This supposedly enraged Lee and led to the attack.

The sister, though, what a piece work. She basically outed herself as a drug addict alcoholic and, in her Persian culture, a total whore. They're not Muslim, but a lot of Christians are just as unforgiving. I wonder if her rich (and likely closeted*) society plastic surgeon will stay with her. The family put on such a united front at the trial -- will be interesting to see if that lasts.

* There was some speculation in the first thread. A new tidbit I picked up during the trial is that they live in separate apartments in Millennium Tower. Divorce in the air? He could find a much cheaper, less troublesome beard that won't embarrass him.

R20, early on, the local paper reported that her family are Zoroastrian. I remember because of how unusual that is around here.

by Anonymousreply 21December 17, 2024 9:18 AM

Thanks, r21. I hadn't caught that.

by Anonymousreply 22December 17, 2024 9:27 AM

R18. No. You were wrong yesterday, and you’re still wrong today.

by Anonymousreply 23December 17, 2024 10:37 AM

Guilty of second degree murder.

by Anonymousreply 24December 17, 2024 6:37 PM

Where’s the video of Crazy Bob snorting coke off a knife?

by Anonymousreply 25December 17, 2024 6:39 PM

Guilty!

On the DL every jury is hung, if only in our minds.

The sister clearly gets her brassy blonde hair dyed at a place that doesn't know what it is doing. Dry, brittle, frizzy, roots like a redwood....no bueno.
