That is so true. Immigration may well be a deciding issue in the election. That doesn’t mean it’s not a completely stupid issue. The vast, vast majority of Americans are completely unaffected by immigration. Most of us live in places where would have no idea if the number of immigrants entering the country is five or five million. Yes, if you live in a handful of entry or settlement areas, it is hardship. But 95 percent or more of the population.wouldn’t know immigration is a”problem” if they weren’t told it was.

In fairness she wasn't quite that definitive, but neither do I think anybody expected her to close the deal on CNN of all places or to close it last night.

OK, so what administration hits every ball out of the park? Meanwhile, the Recovery Act and the Infrastructure Bill, and a myriad other issues of concern have been addressed that will profoundly effect and support our future growth and prosperity. Immigration isn't the 5-Alarm fire that the Right and the media has made it out to be. (illegal border crossings are down, and there have been record number of fentanyl seizures - which, despite what MTG and the other MAGA morons say, show that border interventions are actually working). There are no violent caravans headed towards the border, as is always claimed 2 weeks before an election.

It's an important issue, to be sure, but is one that has blown way out of proportion. There have been other far more important priorities that the Biden/Harris administration have addressed. That's pretty impressive for a single term president.

Were you happy with how Trump handled the border? Or Obama? Or Bush? Or Clinton? The border has been allowed to reach the state it's in over fifty years.
