Oops. I forgot to include a simple “yes,” demonstrating my bias. If caftan owners complain, I’ll repost, but somehow I don’t expect much of an outcry

Is the proper spelling “caftan” or “kaftan”, or are both equally valid?

Both are OK, I think.
