I’m going with “Beautiful” by Estee Lauder.
Which perfume/scent does Kamala wear?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 24, 2024 9:42 AM |
La Vie est Belle.
Like every other woman on the planet, and my mom.
I don’t care for it.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 23, 2024 2:37 AM |
Charlie
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 23, 2024 2:40 AM |
Some pricey Le Labo shit - she’s a West Coast elite!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 23, 2024 2:41 AM |
Nah. She's a Black Opium kind of gal.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 23, 2024 2:42 AM |
Doug gave her those expensive earrings so you know it's good.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 23, 2024 3:01 AM |
Clinique Happy.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 23, 2024 3:42 AM |
Coco Mademoiselle
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 23, 2024 4:05 AM |
R6 Those microphone ones right?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 23, 2024 5:24 AM |
Baccarat Rouge 540 kind of gal
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 23, 2024 10:14 AM |
What is this, 1995?
Still, I'll say Fracas.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 23, 2024 10:21 AM |
Samsara for the win
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 23, 2024 10:21 AM |
If the current suggestions, I go with Fracas.
I hope she wouldn’t be so boring to pick Estee Lauder.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 23, 2024 10:29 AM |
Nobody over the age of 15 wears Charlie, if they even make it any more.
Samsara keeps going off the market and emerging with new synthetic additions: it doesn't smell a thing like it used to in Kamala's heyday, and she would know that if she liked it. Likewise, Clinique and Estee Lauder scents are known for their high synthetic content, so it's unlikely a woman who has been well paid for decades leans toward them.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 23, 2024 1:55 PM |
She made $70,000 a year for decades. I'm going with YSL Mon Paris for special occasions and something from the house of Maison Margiela for every day. She's smart and the MM's scent smell super expensive, but aren't
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 23, 2024 2:21 PM |
OP I am Kamala's age and that is more our mother's generation scent
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 23, 2024 2:31 PM |
Le Labo or Serge Lutens, Tom Ford, even.
Not Clinique or Estée Lauder or Lancôme.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 23, 2024 3:34 PM |
Old Spice
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 23, 2024 3:42 PM |
She would immediately know how to pronounce “Kurkdjian” without having to listen to a youtube video fifteen times.
I vote for Baccarat Rouge 540 as well - smells like a department store and fades nicely.

Concession by Calvin Klein
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 23, 2024 3:44 PM |
Yeah, she's never been struggling or anything but she was a single woman until she was 50. She was living in San Francisco and then bouncing between SF, LA and Sacramento. Her salary was 70K-160K in that time with a big decrease after the 08 crash. She owned one modest SF apartment. She was never swimming in cash. So, she's going to have some more modest tastes and some more expensive tastes co-existing. I could see her putting a GAP t-shirt under a $5,000 suit, spraying on some Le Labo then slipping into her Converse and gabbing a bag that she bought for $20 at a craft fair.

Black women like scents that smell like candy. So I'm going to guess Trezor.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 23, 2024 4:05 PM |
R23 You described so many SF women I used to work with! I liked ‘em all.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 23, 2024 4:15 PM |
Women really don’t wear cologne anymore, and I for one am happy about that.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 23, 2024 4:43 PM |
I miss it.
Everyone knew when VP Operations Sheila was on the order desk floor (interest rate brokerage).
She wore Obsession. I didn’t know its name until I’d left the company. It would trigger my nose as soon as she left the elevator. I meander, but she educated people as she made some pretty tough decisions. She could get away with being mean as shit because she was from my South Side.
The scent is all about her.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 23, 2024 5:20 PM |
You know she's got a dusty bottle of Sunflowers somewhere.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 23, 2024 6:25 PM |
[quote]Joy by Jean Patou of course.
It has been discontinued
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 23, 2024 6:43 PM |
I also think she wears a Tom Ford fragrance.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 23, 2024 6:44 PM |
I said Samsara but am switching - Tom Ford is the best bet. Velvet Orchid or Cafe Rose.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 23, 2024 7:19 PM |
La Vie Est Belle is for sure too flyover deoartment store for Kamala.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 23, 2024 7:21 PM |
People from The Bay don't typically wear scents, but if I had to guess I'd say something from Bath and Body.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 23, 2024 7:27 PM |
Curry Flavored Kisses
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 23, 2024 7:28 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 23, 2024 8:15 PM |
What did the kids on A Different World wear? Something like that. Electric Youth?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 23, 2024 9:19 PM |
Perfumes get into your clothes and you never get the stink out.

[quote]She's a Black Opium kind of gal
No way, she's classier than that. Black Opium is whore perfume and today's version of Dana Tabu. It smells like open gash.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 24, 2024 5:12 AM |
Cristalle, Chanel.
