If you’re being serious, it was murdered black trans women and it was at the height of BLM.

It’s a great form of using the race card because there were white trans people behind it using black trans people as a way to gain political power. Remember when Elizabeth Warren during her campaign about what she was going to do for black trans genocide?

And notice how talk of Black Trans Lives Matter has disappeared now that trans run the LGBT show now?

I don’t think they really had any other choice. First off, it’s not like there’s a huge pool of well educated professional trannies to showcase. Most of them are grifters, welfare queens, gofundme princesses, service industry workers, and yes, of course, hookers.

Second, what did they have to lose? Most Americans, whether rightly or wrongly, see trans people as “icky” and freakish with hormone injections and mutilated privates. It’s not like they were trying to appeal to rural voters anyway.

r5 One thing I find interesting is that when they're the victims, they really want to lean into the trans identity and make it clear that they're trans. It's like they only want their victim stats counted as trans but their crime stats counted as women.

I thought it was rich transvestite men getting their kicks in terrible drag who are now the face of the movement.

R7, the well-educated ones tend to be autogynephiles (straight male cross-dressers). They don’t make effective or sympathetic spokespeople for trans matters because they don’t ‘pass’ and have a hard time concealing the obvious fetish-based nature of their identity, not to mention their extreme misogyny. Asking the general public to believe that straight white men cosplaying as women are actually the most vulnerable and oppressed demographic is not a winning strategy.
