New job responsibilities

My boss has asked me to go on business lunches and dinners with company clients. I like meeting new people from all over the country and some international clients. All paid for with my company credit card. Well, my manager has asked me to go on what he calls extended dinner dates with clients that include visiting city attractions or theater tickets. All fine with me but I’m also being asked to host some clients in my home over the weekend. This makes me feel a little uncomfortable because I’m expected to persuade clients into starting business accounts with our company. Twice this sort of arrangement has led to me having sex with the client to get him to sign contracts. A win for the company but I’m starting to feel like this is blurring the lines with my personal life. Any advice?

"This is a problem.....WHY???"

by Anonymousreply 1October 21, 2024 3:03 PM

OP you're being groomed to be a corporate escort. Word will get around amongst people in your line of business. Your HR people likely already suspect this. Once they have sufficient evidence they will terminate you with no severance and no unemployment. Nothing will happen to your groomer, nothing will happen to the clients you "entertained". There was a recent case with a nationally known athletic apparel company under similar circumstances the employee did not prevail.

I did everything my boss asked me to- to make his time in office a success. You should, too.

Thx r2

by Anonymousreply 5October 21, 2024 3:13 PM

How was the sex? Worth it? Will you do it again? Did you get a bonus?

by Anonymousreply 6October 21, 2024 3:18 PM

OP, no one but no one has climbed the stairs of success by refusing to spread wide.

-1,000,000/10

by Anonymousreply 8October 21, 2024 3:27 PM

My boss once asked me to suck dick for a case of bottled water.

by Anonymousreply 9October 21, 2024 3:29 PM

I think that there is an [bold]E[/bold]asy fix for this [bold]S[/bold]urprising story you've [bold]T[/bold]old us, OP.

But I must say, it's quite "Nifty."

by Anonymousreply 10October 21, 2024 3:30 PM

I had a boss at a non-profit who fired someone for sleeping with a donor and her response was, "but I got the gift." Blech.

by Anonymousreply 11October 21, 2024 3:32 PM

Sure, Jan.

You did not read the final back page of your job offer.

"Company whore duties as needed".

by Anonymousreply 13October 21, 2024 3:37 PM

What company has some gay courtesan they pimp out to new clients?

Do you work for one of those tacky neon underwear places like Andrew Christian?

by Anonymousreply 14October 21, 2024 3:41 PM

Take some advice, op.....

Dear Penthouses Forum,

I never thought this would happen to me - BUT...

by Anonymousreply 19October 21, 2024 3:57 PM

OP, write what you know.

Wow, those are quite the company perks! The most I've ever gotten from work was a $50 gift card to Olive Garden after a cockroach landed on my face while I was on the phone with a client.

by Anonymousreply 22October 21, 2024 4:22 PM

What do you look like OP?

by Anonymousreply 23October 21, 2024 4:39 PM

What company is going to tell a potential client, “Oh, we’ve arranged for you to stay with one of our employees?”

Plus deals aren’t closed by fucking the office who’re. Please.

Nothing gets by you. Literally.

by Anonymousreply 25October 21, 2024 4:48 PM

Special clients who are on the fence or who want extra coddling to sign on. That’s who. I’m an account executive and a big part of my job is to secure new accounts for the company. Not unusual at all. R24

by Anonymousreply 26October 21, 2024 4:49 PM

R26 do you offer your mouth and hole too?

by Anonymousreply 27October 21, 2024 4:55 PM

OP = Brian Kinney

by Anonymousreply 28October 21, 2024 4:58 PM

Op Ok kid, let’s take this seriously. You made a BIG mistake. Buy yourself an hour with the best employment law attorney you can find to advise how you can bet protect yourself. Remember that a lot of employment law attorneys are just interested in talking to clients with a great case against their employer so they can sue and make a lot of money. That’s not what you want. You want ADVICE. How can you extricate youself from this and protect yourself from being fired,. What records do you need to keep.

by Anonymousreply 29October 21, 2024 5:00 PM

I thought you are supposed to bring them to strip clubs? Let them get vip service in vip room.

by Anonymousreply 30October 21, 2024 5:08 PM

R27 Entertaining the client and securing the account is. I said I’ve only had sex with two clients. Those were instances where the client stayed the weekend and both times they stayed at my home. Usually we have clients stay at a hotel. The aforementioned clients let us know up front they were tired of hotels. My manager thought them staying the weekend at my house would be more comfortable and lead them to sign a contract, which it did.

by Anonymousreply 31October 21, 2024 5:09 PM

R29 everything is documented. I’m not necessarily wanting to resign. I just want to establish some boundaries.

by Anonymousreply 32October 21, 2024 5:11 PM

To R24, would you care to bet on that? Wall Street after 1986, I made many deals with my negotiation skills in men's rooms up and down Wall Street. The WTC men's room was my favorite to make deals.

by Anonymousreply 33October 21, 2024 5:26 PM

One of the more exaggerated ESTs lately

by Anonymousreply 34October 21, 2024 5:46 PM

Rule number one, get the money up front. Business professionals do not entertain clients at their home BEFORE the deal is signed and they don't have sex with them unless it's mutual. Use that card to get suite at the Ritz, meet in the lobby, sign the deal and celebrate with the champagne upstairs, afterwards, if you want to. Otherwise...

by Anonymousreply 35October 21, 2024 5:58 PM

Congrats OP, you are the company bike!

by Anonymousreply 36October 21, 2024 6:01 PM

OP I'm sure you're talking shit but tell us how you ending up shagging these clients. Did you seduce them? Did they sneak into your room in the middle of the night and start pillaging your hole?

by Anonymousreply 37October 21, 2024 6:05 PM

Bullshit.

No business client wants to say in some random employee’s home because they’re “tired of hotels.” Absolutely ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 38October 21, 2024 6:13 PM

R38 lives in her own small small world.

by Anonymousreply 39October 21, 2024 6:14 PM

I try my personal best to add to our list client companies

by Anonymousreply 40October 21, 2024 6:44 PM

I'm sorry to ask but what does EST mean in this context?

by Anonymousreply 41October 21, 2024 6:52 PM

R41 In this case? Extra-stupid twat

by Anonymousreply 42October 21, 2024 7:08 PM

Wow, OP. Old Navy really demands a lot of their retail workers. One minute mindlessly folding sweaters; the next mindlessly taking it up the poop shoot. You did show that grandpa from Cincinnati a good time though.

by Anonymousreply 43October 21, 2024 7:16 PM

I'm not hosting anyone in my home.

Dinner - fine if I must. Evening entertainment - fine occasionally. People coming into my home - absolutely not.

If the company is whoring OP out, they should pay for a room at a 5-star hotel.

by Anonymousreply 44October 21, 2024 7:21 PM

OP-None of this is true.

by Anonymousreply 45October 21, 2024 7:21 PM

“Poop shoot”

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 46October 21, 2024 7:27 PM

I am ashamed of us all. How on earth did it take 8 whole replies to finally get -1,000,000/10?

And it took 12 replies to get a "Sure, Jan"?

WHET to DL?
