Even though it's been many years, I really feel the absence of George Michael. Even despite his later years being such a shitshow.
If he'd have cleaned up and lived, by now he'd have become exactly the kind of pop superstar emeritus that our world needs. Once Elton goes, who is left to carry the mantle?

I watched a GM segment on ABC's 20/20 right after George doed and in he ibterview one of his co writers said George had a thing where he had to be driving along freeways/ highways when wrote his songs. I can't help seeing this whenever I listen to this song and Faith or Father Figure or Freedom...
