So I’m finally getting around to watch Monster. Thus far I’ve only scene various parts at friends houses and individual scenes with Cooper Koch. At any rate, I really love how Murphy always injects pop cultural references of the time period in his work, and the characters are very aware of pop culture. It’s his signature unique schtick and it adds a layer of realism while also being highly entertaining. I’m sick of the Murphy hate; the man is gay and talented. We should support.
I really don’t get the hate for Ryan Murphy

Omg Lyle Menendez had to be on cocaine 24/7. He is a complete maniac. That’s probably what made him bald at 16.

R1 — part of it is the gay circular firing squad. We love destroying each other; it’s arguably our favorite pastime.
But another part is, he sets up great stories and tells them very well, but then it all gets sordid and preposterous and generally goes completely off the rails. Very frustrating.
It’s much less of an issue with his supposed non-fiction programs (they’re heavily fictionalized).

I’m sorry, I meant OP, not r1. R1 was a nonsensical reply.
