When a Democrat interviews on Fox, the network has anchors and commentators immediately afterwards to diss, spin, and lie.
That has been a Fox tactic for many years.
Fox gives politicians such as Trump & Miss Lindsey softball questions and wouldn’t dare interrupt their spill.

R12 Allred has a very good chance of unseating Teddy. He’s within a few points or tied. With the Roe vote unpredictable, I say Allred wins. I have a 50/50 track record on predictions, FWIW. Looking at the fundamentals, Texans really hate Teddy, and are not happy with state Republicans about the grid, hurricane response, and local school district funding due to holding it hostage for vouchers. Add in Roe, I say Allred takes this.

To fully understand Trump's criminal decisions, and what a second Trump Administration would look like, let's look at his picks for Chiefs of Staff:
Reinhold Richard "Reince" Priebus After graduating from Tremper, he attended the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he majored in English and political science. He graduated cum laude in 1994 and prior to that had been elected to serve as student body president. After graduation from Whitewater, Priebus served as a clerk for the Wisconsin State Assembly Education Committee. He then enrolled at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. While there, he worked as a clerk for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and interned at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in California. In 1998, he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University of Miami, after serving as president of the law school student body. He moved back to Wisconsin and became a member of the state bar.

John F Kelly Enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in an infantry company with the 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and was discharged to the inactive reserve as a sergeant in 1972 so that he could attend college. He returned to active duty with the Marines in 1975, completed Officer Candidates School, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant on December 27, 1975. In 1976, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston and in 1984, he received a Master of Arts degree in National Security Affairs from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. In 1995, Kelly graduated from the National Defense University in Washington, DC with a Master of Science in Strategic Studies. Kelly returned to the East Coast in 1994, to attend the National War College in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 1995 and was selected to serve as the Commandant's Liaison Officer to the U.S. House of Representatives, Capitol Hill, where he was promoted to colonel

John “Mick” Mulvaney He attended Charlotte Catholic High School and then Georgetown University, where he majored in international economics, commerce and finance. Mark Meadows Meadows attended Florida State University for one year in 1977–78. He later graduated from the University of South Florida with a two-year Associate of Arts degree. He never disclosed what the AA degree was in. Trump finally got a Junior College stooge to do his bidding. He is the only one that has been criminally indicted.

R67 I’m telling you Republicans are flipping out here in TX. They must have some really concerning internal polls. Remember, I told you all I was told in ‘22 that Rs had bad internal polls and there would be no red wave. I haven’t heard anything about the internal polls here in TX, but I don’t need to be told. From the actions of state Republicans, they are very worried.
I hate predictions, but I think Allred takes Teddy’s seat. Kamala may barely miss flipping the state. There are a lot of silent women voters and silent R voters for Kamala. I know it because I see it personally. I also know plenty who hate Teddy, and are over DT, so they may skip out on voting for those races.

Which donor?
by Anonymous | reply 74 | October 23, 2024 11:06 PM |
That’s the rumor I’ve seen, but I have a hard time believing even Dump would be so dumb. However, if he’s truly got dementia, it’s possible I guess, people with dementia lose their inhibitions. I mean, if the video shows him doing that and an altercation follows where Dump is obviously demented, that would have an effect. Of course it wouldn’t with hardcore MAGATs but maybe the undecided and some Republicans who are holding their nose to vote for Dump.
In the end, I don’t see anything that would cause his campaign to implode. But there might be something that could sway those who are not really committed to him.

Trump mentioned in his MSG speech that he and Speaker Johnson had a surprise in store for election day. Could this be what he's talking about? Does the below sound credible? Is there a way around it?
"First, Republicans need to make sure they’re in control of the House of Representatives on January 6th, 2025, when the new president will be certified. To do that, even though Democrats might have won enough seats to take back the House in the 2024 election, Speaker Johnson will refuse to swear into Congress on January 3rd a handful of those Democrats, claiming there are “irregularities” in their elections that must be first investigated. Consider that Johnson is still refusing to swear in Tom Suozzi (who recently won George Santos’ old seat), something Johnson apparently did to maintain enough Republican-majority votes to impeach Alejandro Mayorkas. (Johnson says they’ll swear him in this coming Thursday, but nobody’s holding their breath.) Like Mitch McConnell withholding Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court for over a year, withholding certification of a handful of Democrats would be easy, legal, and completely immoral. There’s nothing Democrats can legally do to stop Speaker Johnson from pulling this off: he can postpone swearing a member in for as long as he wants. That keeps Speaker “MAGA Moscow Mike” Johnson in charge of the House, so they can also refuse to accept the Electoral College certificates of election from a handful of states where they claim there are “problems.”

Here’s an unusual theory. Trump is intentionally trying to sabotage his own campaign. He really doesn’t want to do the tedious work as President. He wants to barely lose, rile up his base again, play victim again to his claim of another “stolen” election. He will use the drama to help defend him against federal and state charges stemming from his actions in 2020 including the stolen secret documents. He wants all prior charges dropped and avoid fines and jail time. His tactic is to muddy it all up with new bogus claims.

So forgive my ignorance but when people talk about internal polling, wtf does that mean? A poll is a poll. Only as good as who is conducting it and whatever they are trying to convey, right?
So if I’m reading that trumps “internals” are horrible, what does it mean? The polls they have are horrible but who is running them? Who are they polling?
Sorry if it’s a dumb question. I don’t believe polls in general, as they tell us not to do since they can and usually are wrong. 🤔
by Anonymous | reply 220 | November 4, 2024 8:04 PM |
We’ve arrived at the moment of truth.
I can’t go with how I feel. I do feel good, but it’s based on tangibles. There were red flags everywhere in 2016. I felt good based on polls, but on the ground the energy was for him. Now, the red flags are for him. She has the energy. So many Republicans are voting for her. There are a lot of silent Kamala votes. I’ve personally heard of many Rs voting for Kamala, or not voting for Pres at all.
I think, like Biden, she takes some surprising states, and many Red states will be closer than they’ve been in forever.
by Anonymous | reply 221 | November 4, 2024 8:50 PM |
R220 Campaigns pay big bucks for the most accurate data. When a campaign hires a pollster to do internals, they do deep dives into the electorate. They know the local electorate better, know the local issues which may affect their votes more than national issues. Since campaigns pay huge for this, they expect the information to be extremely accurate and it always is. These pollsters want to continue to get paid so they will strive to be spot on. They also seem to pick up trends before national pollsters.
A lot of national polls are done to push a narrative- look how many right leaning polls just got dumped which are all outliers and are meant to paint a picture of a close race where he is barely winning.
by Anonymous | reply 222 | November 4, 2024 9:00 PM |
r220 Pollsters still depend much on land lines. Most of that population is in rural areas and are largely senior citizens. I have a land unit that now works off my WiFi system with the computer. The cost was considerably reduced a few years back when I sought to get rid of it. On my mobile phone, I don't get pollsters calling, On the land unit I've received two or three a week for months during election seasons. I stopped answering them long ago. Results from landlines have to be skewed.
by Anonymous | reply 223 | November 4, 2024 9:16 PM |
I actually wonder about that r223. Do you have any source on that? I'm not saying you have to be wrong, but it seems so unlikely that pollsters are just mindlessly rolling along pretending that most people still have landlines. Do you have any source that says most pollsters still depend on land lines?

Agree about the woman vote. Abortion is that stubborn little issue that won't go away, despite the media obsession with insisting the biggest issue just HAS to be immigration and inflation. It's that vote that pollsters just can't seem to tap into correctly.

R259, FCI (sorry I don't know the proper form of quoting posts).
"There’s just no way he won like this. Yes, I’m going to say it. Massive cheating. He kept saying he already had the votes to win months ago."
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY! Yes! Massive cheating!! I've been reading shit commentary for hours looking for someone to write this very statement that's been screaming in my head!. Thank you!!
Trump and cohorts have been projecting for weeks about massive cheating, using those very words!
Maybe I have more blind faith in our American populace than others. Maybe I am just fucking insane! But these tally numbers just DO NOT ADD UP! Not plausibly, anyway.
"Kamala was an excellent candidate."
In my opinion, THE most excellent candidate! Claiming she lost because she's a woman? Black? Indian? Married to a Jew?? No, sorry, I don't buy it. Not in this day and age. Not against THAT candidate!
When Hillary ran in 2016, yes there was lots of excitement, but also some dread and trepidation.
This was NOT the case with Kamala! Am I the only one to recognize this? There was a HUGE surge of excitement. A surge that matched our SHEER HATRED for Trump. Maybe even more cult-like excitement than Obama in 2008. We wanted her as much as we rejected him.
Am I fucking crazy????
""It's the economy stupid!"" I'm sorry, even we, in this period of time, are NOT THAT STUPID!"
There is something else that caused those results. Something very nefarious. Maybe they covered their tracks too well this time, maybe not.
I implore and hope with the entirety of my being that there is someone out there who will investigate. Before any prints can disappear.

I’m usually the optimist. You all know this.
Not this time.
We are cooked as a country.
Republicans, with him having absolute power, will take over states, making it impossible for Democrats to be elected. We are going to turn into Russia 2.0. AMERICA! We’ve fallen. And we fell to an adjudicated rapist felon insurrectionist. Stunning!
I’m not going to lie. Project 2025 will be implemented. There’s not a goddamn thing Democrats can do. It will, for a century, cement conservative patriarchal Christian Nationalism.
Anyone who still doubts this hasn’t processed what has happened. We lost. We lost BIG. We lost it all. You know I am NEVER like this.
There will be no midterms to save us. What Democrats are left, will be bought off by the oligarchs. Just like in Russia. Oh we’ll have our Navalnys, with the same result.
This post will lose me a lot of fans and friends. Just bookmark it and see where we stand in just 3 short months.
This will affect our entertainment. HW is going to go through some things. What we watch will change drastically. Our way of life is done.
This is all courtesy of the media. You can blame a part of the blame on Garland, or Biden. Some argue going after Bone Spurs is what motivated his base. Who knows.
There’s a lot of blame to go around, but the media is numero uno.
White people- what the FUCK have we done? For WHAT?
If you doubt anything I’ve said, read Project 2025 again. It is our future. Hate me all you want for this, but I’m not even scratching the surface of this catastrophe.
I’m sorry we’re here. If it’s any consolation the racist old gays here will suffer mightily.

That would certainly explain his demented behavior the past two weeks. However, you can bet that Garland or whoever at the DoJ will pretend they know nothing and keep their head in the sand.

We won’t fix this with a blue tsunami in ‘26. No, that won’t allow that. We lost our country. Forever. I hope the dumbfucks who voted for him are fucking happy.ENJOY!"
FCI and others, look at it this way. If, like you and I believe, that there WAS massive cheating, than most of them DID NOT fuck themselves. Many voted accordingly. It's just maybe those votes were somehow destroyed.
And if there's any consolation, what about our corrupt Supreme Court? A recent decision made about Presidential immunity??
Trump doesn't take the reigns until January 20, 2025. That's 2 1/2 months.
As we have learned, A LOT can happen in that time.

Yes, criminality has completely taken over our system. And everything you wrote in that post, well, yah...it definitely looks like our near future!
But right now we are stunned! More betrayed than we have ever felt! But we know we were not wrong! And there are a helluva lot more of us than them!
Biden does not have to be a Lame Duck president in his remaining months. (one case he could follow Trump's example).
I reiterate, Biden has legal immunity, thanks to Trump and Trump's Supreme Court.
Fuck. Remember when RBG died before Trump finished his term and how quickly rotten Turtle-head went to work and gave us Amy?? Something could happen for us too.
But Biden has to be fearless and aggressive. He's got nothing to lose. Nothing but his legacy, which might easily be erased with the advancement of AI. (all types of historical documents are being erased on the internet now).
Maybe he can somehow take advantage of the Supreme Court decision and do - I don't know what - but SOMETHING!
Maybe Biden can die peacefully in his sleep tonight, making Kamala President tomorrow and SHE can do SOMETHING! (Stranger things have happened, and recently!).
I'm just puttin' this out there. (please note, about Biden's possible death I wrote "peacefully").

That immunity only applies to REPUBLICANS. The SC would IMMEDIATELY nullify whatever a Democrat would do. Sadly, short of an actual civil war which no one wants, the racists and misogynists won. They really won in 2016. We fucked around too long as a country. We basked in decadence and wealth. We entertained absurdity. We bothsides shit to death. We allowed the rich to become so obscenely wealthy they gained power over us to the point we the people cannot get it back. Less than 5% have over 95% of the wealth. AND WE LET IT HAPPEN! What did we think could go wrong? We aren’t a serious country. We bought our own hype. We allowed our media to become for profit. Shit, it doesn’t take Einstein to have seen way back in the W era we were headed to this conclusion. We allowed the party of recessions to convince us they were the party of economic prosperity.
I’ll likely not post here much longer. The trolls and racists are one thing, but there is no fight left. We lost. I don’t see how we overcome this. I’m so pissed off right now. Maybe I’ll come down and see a path forward.

Biden could just step down. The house won’t approve whatever vp candidate Harris tries to appoint so there’ll be no vp to serve in the constitutionally mandated receiving of the electoral votes in the Senate, which *might* throw it to the House. And since any House member can move to vacate the Chair they can just keep doing that until January 21st. It’s kind of what Trump tried to do, but much more as the Founders intended and peaceful.
by Anonymous | reply 280 | November 7, 2024 3:58 AM |

This was not about the economy, immigration (racism), or any other BS. Democrats had no chance. Fuck the media, Fuck the racists. Fuck the misogynists. Fuck the homophobes. Fuck the pearl clutchers. Fuck the contrarians. And FUCK THE UNDECIDED BRAIN DEAD ZOMBIES. We are not a serious country. It will take great pain and suffering to wake us up and I’m not even sure that will work.
A 34 time felon adjudicated rapist dementia addled insurrectionist won against a wonderful candidate who gave us one of the best campaigns I’ve ever seen, and it wasn’t close. Accept this and fight it. How? I don’t fucking know. I’m done voting. I’ll be 40 next election. I’ll have fought through 14 years of this maga BS by then with little success.
Corporate America sabotaged Pres Biden. This was clear as fucking day. They price gouged to make global inflation worse. Pres Biden pulled off an economic miracle with NO recession and tamed Donnie’s inflation. For that, he received no credit.
We didn’t deserve Pres Biden. He had set up an economy that was to deliver one of the deepest, most sound economic output in 60 years. That’s in the trash can now. I hope all those who voted for him lose their benefits, health care, jobs, and other amenities are happy. They fucked us out of probably our best shot at having the best economy since the New Deal hey days.
I’ll never forgive them. I’ll likely risk flying to Haiti to put a mother of a curse on them.

I do find it odd that early voting was setting records, in some districts TWICE as many people were voting early than in 2020. This would seem to indicate a huge turnout overall. But Harris got 15 million fewer votes than Boden, Trump about the same as in 2020. So were election day voting numbers way down?

I recall a few black TV commentators, professing to being civil rights experts, i.e. Joy and Jason, attacking Pete big time.

How did so many states, all necessary states, elect Democrats in all offices EXCEPT president? NC, a red state, elected Democrats to EVERY state wide office EXCEPT president.
How? Is? That? Plausible?

by Anonymous | reply 298 | November 8, 2024 1:23 AM |
We broke early voting records because lots of states added or expanded early voting since the pandemic.
For instance New York used to not have early in person voting at all. This year was the first presidential election where there there was early in person voting in the state. And it was for two weeks and multiple locations; so millions of additional early votes. That part isn’t such a mystery.

R300 Did I say it was? My post was not about the closeness of things. How, in mostly swing states needed to win, did almost all the senate candidates, and other statewide Dems, win while Donnie boy also won? NC, again a RED state, saw a SWEEP for Dems in statewide office, yet those same D voters returned Donnie boy? WI, MI, AZ, NV, NC. ALL the swing states needed to win the presidency. It was very close for senate in PA, but Donnie boy won by a larger margin.
It seems very odd and highly implausible. And many non-conspiratorial people are pointing it out. It is just highly unusual.

Just curious what Elon Musk's conversations with Putin entailed.
Also, remember in 2016 how that ABC executive was able to give secret internal campaign polling data to Paul Manafort, who gave it to Kilimnik who probably passed it to Putin, at a time Hillary was leading in a few swing states...then it all suddenly changed early the next morning when she lost Wisconsin, Michigan, et al...
Could it have been done again this year? only kept hidden this time.

We have just witnessed the greatest failure of federal law enforcement in American history.
The reasons for Donald Trump’s reelection are numerous and will be hotly debated in the weeks ahead. But the story of his comeback cannot be told without seriously grappling with how he managed to outrun four criminal cases, including — most notably — the Justice Department’s prosecution over Trump’s alleged effort to overturn the 2020 election.
At the root of it all are the considerable and truly historic legal missteps by the Biden administration and Attorney General Merrick Garland, as well as a series of decisions by Republicans throughout the political and legal systems in recent years that effectively bailed Trump out when the risks for him were greatest.
The two federal criminal cases against him are now dead as a practical matter. Already there is reporting suggesting that special counsel Jack Smith will leave his post and dismiss the pending cases, which is not that surprising considering that Trump pledged to fire him once back in office anyway. The Georgia case, an overhyped and misguided vehicle for post-2020 legal accountability, is going to remain on ice and perhaps get thrown out entirely in the coming years, at least as to Trump (if not his co-defendants). In Manhattan, where Trump was supposed to be sentenced in a matter of weeks after his conviction in the Stormy Daniels hush money case earlier this year, Trump is likely to ask the court to cancel the sentencing date; regardless of the mechanics, there is no reasonable scenario in which Trump serves some period of incarceration while also serving in the White House.

All of this will happen despite the majority of the public’s stated interest in concluding the criminal cases — the federal election subversion case in particular — as well as polling that suggested that Trump’s conviction early this year hurt his standing across the electorate and with independents in particular.
If that seems incongruous, it is not. The most obvious explanation for Trump’s win despite his considerable legal problems is that a critical mass of voters were willing to set aside their concerns about Trump’s alleged misconduct because of their dissatisfaction with the Biden-Harris administration. Fair or not, this was absolutely their right as voters.
But if the system had worked the way it should have, voters would never have faced such a choice. If Trump had actually faced accountability for his alleged crimes, he may not have even appeared on the ballot.
It is now clearer than ever that Garland was a highly questionable choice to serve as attorney general from the start. From the outset of the Biden presidency, it was readily apparent that Garland had little desire to investigate and potentially prosecute Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 323 | November 8, 2024 6:36 AM |
The most comprehensive accounts on the matter, from investigative reporting at The Washington Post and The New York Times, strongly indicate that the Jan. 6 committee’s investigation and public hearings in 2022 effectively forced Garland to investigate Trump and eventually to appoint Smith in November of that year — nearly two years after Trump incited the riot at the Capitol.
There are many people — including many Democratic legal pundits — who have continued to defend this delay and may continue to do so, so let me be very clear: Those people are wrong.
It was clear after Trump’s loss in 2020 — even before Jan. 6 — that his conduct warranted serious legal scrutiny by the Justice Department, particularly in the area of potential financial crimes. But that probe, which could and should have been pursued by Biden’s U.S. Attorney and aspiring attorney general in Manhattan, somehow never materialized.
It was also clear — on Jan. 6 itself — that Trump may have committed criminal misconduct after his loss in 2020 that required immediate and serious attention from the Justice Department.
As a result, the Biden administration and the Garland Justice Department were running an extremely obvious risk — namely, that Trump would run for reelection and win, and that any meaningful criminal accountability for his misconduct after 2020 would literally become impossible. That, of course, has now happened. It was all eminently predictable.
Garland’s defenders over the years — including many Democratic lawyers who regularly appear on cable news — claimed that Garland and the department were simply following a standard, “bottom-up” investigative effort. Prosecutors would start with the rioters, on this theory, and then eventually get to Trump.
This never made any sense.
The formation of the Jan. 6 committee in early 2021 did nothing to change the calculus. There too, it was clear from the start that there would still need to be a criminal investigation to deliver any meaningful legal accountability for Trump.
In fact, the warning signs for where this could all end up — where the country finds itself now — were clear by late 2021, less than a year into Biden’s term. The public reporting at the time indicated (correctly, we now know) that there was no real Justice Department investigation into Trump and his inner circle at that point, even though the outlines of a criminal case against Trump — including some of the charges themselves that were eventually brought nearly two years later — were already apparent.

It did not reflect some unwritten playbook for criminal investigations. In fact, in criminal cases involving large and potentially overlapping groups of participants — as well as serious time sensitivity — good prosecutors try to get to the top as quickly as possible.
The Justice Department can — and should — have quickly pursued the rioters and Trump in parallel. The fact that many legal pundits actually defended this gross dereliction of duty — and actually argued that this was the appropriate course — continues to amaze me.
As for Garland, his legacy is now out of his control, and the early returns are not looking good.
Garland is a serious, well-intentioned and complex figure. But given all this, he may go down as one of the worst and most broadly unpopular attorney generals in American history — hated by the anti-Trump part of the country for failing to bring Trump to justice, and hated by the pro-Trump part of the country for pursuing Trump at all. I sincerely hope he provides a first-hand accounting of what happened after he too leaves office next year.

None of this, however, excuses the Republican political and legal class for their role in all this as well. In fact, Trump could not have pulled it off without a great deal of help from them too.
Start with Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans in 2021. They could — and should — have voted to convict Trump after his second impeachment, which would have prevented him from running again for the presidency. Instead, McConnell and almost every other GOP senator let him off the hook.
Trump then proceeded to execute perhaps the most remarkable political rehabilitation in American history, but which should not have been nearly such a surprise. He never seemed to lose his grip on the party and in fact strengthened it over the course of 2021, as the likes of Kevin McCarthy and others quickly rallied around him.
The Republican presidential primaries also proved, in the end, to be a boon for Trump in his legal fight. By the time they concluded, Trump had been indicted by the Justice Department and local prosecutors in Manhattan and Fulton County. Under the traditional rules of politics, this should have provided incredible fodder for his adversaries and essentially killed his campaign.
Instead, his most prominent primary opponents — his opponents — came to his defense. As the prosecution in Manhattan came into focus, for instance, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis belittled the effort as “some manufactured circus by some Soros-DA.” Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy both said that they would pardon Trump if elected.
It was no surprise, then, that Republican primary voters rallied around Trump. Perhaps it was inevitable, but it was certainly made easier by the fact that Trump’s supposed adversaries were all endorsing his legal defense as well as his false claims about the prosecutions themselves.

Last but most certainly not least: The Republican appointees on the Supreme Court bailed Trump out this year — in the heart of the general election campaign and when it mattered most.
A very large swathe of the public — somewhere around 60 percent according to our polling and others — wanted Trump to stand trial this year in the 2020 election subversion case. Before the Supreme Court weighed in, an even larger portion of Americans — somewhere around 70 percent — rejected the idea that presidents should be immune from prosecution for alleged crimes they committed while in office.
The six Republican appointees — three of whom, of course, were appointed by Trump himself — sided with Trump on both counts.

They first slow-walked Trump’s appeal on immunity grounds this year and then created a new doctrine of criminal immunity for Trump that had no real basis in the law — effectively foreclosing the possibility of a trial before Election Day. It was a gross distortion of the law in apparent service of the Republican appointees’ partisan political objectives.
This was all quite bad all around, but make no mistake: Trump’s reelection caps off the most remarkable reversal of legal fortunes in the history of American law. And besides Trump himself, many political figures in both parties share the blame. END

Let me get this straight regarding election rigging on Trump’s behalf.
Just so I’m clear, even if evidence was revealed that could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the election was rigged for Trump, that reveal would result in some kind bad result for Trump?
That Americans would be aghast and chase Trump and Vance from office?
It wouldn’t fucking matter. The USA itself is rigged. It’s rigged on behalf of Trump and Republicans.
Turn the oven to OFF, the USA is done.

Even if it WAS rigged, and even if the evidence were laid out WITHOUT A DOUBT, who is going to DO anything about it? Garland? Don’t make me laugh.
There is NO ONE to actually DO anything about this, unless Marc Elias and his bunch are on it.

For anyone here who, unlike *FCI and *Della, are not yet ready to throw in the towel, check out this thread which has some interesting comments, many plausible theories regarding election interference.
**FCI and Della, I can't argue. I feel the same way. It's futile. But what's pissing me off is headlines like "Nancy Pelosi: Biden Fucked Us!" and "What Kamala Did Wrong" and "Election Proves How Racist and Misogynist We Still Are"
I don't believe Biden fucked us! I don't believe Kamala did anything wrong! And I believe we have evolved far more than currently being credited with.
And if Putin was successful in rigging this election, (or Iran or N. Korea), it wasn't just to change the results, but to cause the tremendous amount of infighting we are now experiencing as a divided country,
This WAS the plan!!
So I still think it's vital to launch an investigation and get solid answers, even if it doesn't change the outcome.
And as soon as possible. The hell with us. Millions are gonna die in Ukraine and Gaza and other countries around the world because of the results from this election.
Excuse me while I correct myself: "Results" !!!

[quote] So I still think it's vital to launch an investigation and get solid answers, even if it doesn't change the outcome.
What forum? Who is going to pay for it?
Trump is sworn in on January 20th.
The US House of Representatives is in Repug control. The holidays are coming.
Or, are you suggesting that private money pay for an investigation? Whose money? Sure, they could remain anonymous, I suppose, but what's the point?
The American People Don't Care if Trump, Putin, whoever swiped every counted vote that exceeds what Harris got.
Everybody saw with their own eyes and ears Trump's violent minions attempt a LOOTING of 80,000,000 American votes on Jan 6th, and the same people that saw that, plus score more, voted to put Trump back in.
Let's say Jesus Christ himself appears. He calls a press conference. While walking on the Potomoc River he bears direct, incontrovertible proof of election rigging, then says,
"You know that election you just had? Bearing false witness happened. Theft of votes occurred. As a reminder, those two things violate 2 of the 10 Commandments. Both resulted in a false victory for Trump, Here's the proof",
he'd be dismissed as the further ramblings of another bitter Democrat that got the wool pulled over their eyes and so fucking what?

Does anyone know what the odds currently are for Dems to take back the House? The other day they said it looked like it would stay in Repug control but then today Dems flipped two more seats in NY. Does it all depend on CA?
Also, as an additional ray of hope (I hope), I think it was Eric Swalwell who said last night on TV that, even if Dems don't take back the House, if we could just get a close result like we did last election with the Repugs having just a narrow majority, that might also help us act as a stopgap on Trump because there would be very little they could pass without the help of Dems. (Anyone please feel free to correct me if that's wrong.) But still, let's hope Dem control is still a possibility!
by Anonymous | reply 344 | November 9, 2024 5:59 AM |
THIS: (link attached)
It is very simple to prove this. Take the two most outlandish precinct results from any county and just hand-count the ballots. They won't match the tabulation outputs. From what I am seeing, you will find 8-11% avg. shifts from Dem to Rep. Be sure to check heavy Red areas, easier to cover up..a run up of the score. That was how it was done in Ohio vs. Kerry - GOP flips in already highly red areas. Now, why the Bomb-Threats? They were NOT to allow for hacker access. The programming was already in place, they were to break Chain of Custody and produce legal grounds to not trust a recount. Every place that GOT a bomb-threat is a place the courts will now have to consider the factual argument of whether the ballots COULD have been tampered with while the evacuations were going on. They weren't. But that is the argument the GOP will make to prevent recounts.
I used to appear on Lou Dobbs TV Show, back when he was at CNN and discuss hacking, including of voting machines. I helped get machines into researchers hands - every single one of them were shocked/horrified how simple hacking the machines was. But somehow, the public has refused to engage.
Now that a full blown #fascist takeover is underway, and they did it by hacking the tabulation machines as described, please engage. I will lend any expertise if asked, but be aware these people are sociopaths who will kill you, they have done so to others, so act accordingly.

R363, Elder Lez....Here is one of a few summaries of the 2016 Jill Stein recount. I will paraphrase:
1) Stein raised enough money to start recounts in 3 swing states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
2) In Pennsylvania and Michigan, recounts were halted before they could be finished, each for different reasons, (both having to do with money).
3) In Wisconsin, the recount was finished. However, the result was sent to the owners of the voting machines, and due to very complicated legal issues, never revealed to the public. It had something to do with the Voting Company's ownership of results and their refusal to release the findings. Lawsuits were filed, but they got lost somewhere along the way.
I don't believe all of this is explained in the article linked. Politico has an article. As does The Guardian. I couldn't find the original article that fully detailed all the findings. If I do, I will post that.
So basically, we never found out!

We don't need a hand recount of all swing states, we just need one.
If the results of that effort yield no great disparities, then fine.
If they do, we need a #SwingStateHandRecount.
It's highly irresponsible to simply allow fascism to take over unchallenged.

They will wring their hands, poo poo the evidence and pretend nothing happened because it’s in their best interest.

Cheri and I have had a lot of back and forth. She’s been deeply into R politics and now is a Democrat. She’s not a quack. She was always the more reasonable R when on CNN, MSNBC, Maher.
There was absolutely something fishy with the results. Ds won nearly every single down ballot race except president in every swing state. Unheard of. We ALL know those machines are not reliable which is why Rs went after them after ‘20 thinking WE cheated MORE than them. Remember Rove saying if the election is within 2/3% it is easy to cheat? His reaction on election night ‘12? Come on.
But,
Unless there is proof I’ll only say it here and only in this thread.

FCI "Rs went after them after ‘20 thinking WE cheated MORE than them."
I somewhat disagree. They knew we didn't cheat. It's not why they protested, and did so in a very strategic way.
I think the reason the Rs went after the machines was more insidious: Deflection and confusion.
If you mean Arizona, the R's knew the Dominion machines were clean and no inconsistencies would be found. They deliberately didn't cover counties that used the Republican owned ES&S machines, where their own hacking could be discovered. When the audit came up clean, we got to jeer "See, Free and Fair!" (which they would use to haunt us later).
Also, what exactly were their experts in Arizona doing to the codes in the machines? Did we have any "experts" monitoring them? And didn't many of the Dominion machines they "investigated" end up being replaced with ES&S machines? Look at the 2024 Arizona results just released.
I love you FCI, but even you continue to give Rs the benefit of the doubt. I suspect you don't realize it.

FCI, check this out....
"Vegas “magicians” and gas-lighters have something in common. They have ways of making you not see what THEY are doing. So for example, if you are a politician (an autocrat wannabe) being backed by the most powerful billionaires on the planet, tech moguls who run high level military surveillance and CEOs who need to ensure zero regulation and a lack of oversight and culpability for the half baked invasive tech they unleash on the world, whilst also stealing everyone’s data and creative products to feed it, aren’t you going to consistently and relentlessly accuse the other side of “cheating” and stealing the election while also threatening a hellscape of war if they lose another ? So, dems are constantly defending the illusory election integrity side and worrying about the civil war instead of noticing the gorilla walking through the room.

I don’t give them credit. I believe some of them really think we cheat because they do.
We’re cooked as a nation. I don’t see how we get out of this. I don’t. Unless 3 or 4 Republicans defect and caucus with Democrats to stop him. Fuck Murkowski. She’s as partisan as they get. She’ll put on a show, but nothing she does will make a difference.
We need a hero. We need heroes. Unfortunately, we need Republican heroes which in that case I’m correct- we’re cooked.
Today’s news has been far worse than I even imagined with his nominees and knowing he’ll install them in recess appointments.
There is no stopping this. My mother, a tough lady, is bawling her eyes out. She has been extremely politically involved her whole life and she sees the signs. She’s terrified. The first and foremost thing is money. With threats to tank the dollar for cryptocurrency, they will steal our money.
I’m not even lying when I say I may flee to Mexico. I’m a white bread boy, but I have a family member by marriage who resides in MX and it is a very nice, large metro area. Very safe. Very middle class. A lot of Americans.
My primary concern is international. Trump is compromised, desperate, and willing. I don’t want to see us taken over (covertly at first, of course). Gov Abbott is already asking for “more time” to build detention (concentration camps) which, when empty, will be filled with others.
Am I wrong? PLEASE let me be. I hope I am so wrong you all cast me out and wish grease fires on me! I’ve had a foreboding for years and years. I am an empath (I think), and feel I’m in tune with the universe in a way. I know I sound crazy and I always take myself half serious. You all know I’ve been calm and steady, but that foreboding has never left. It ebbs and flows with the times. Yikes, why did it never go away like all the others? Well…….
I want to be so wrong. Maybe the pain won’t be so bad and we’ll learn.
by Anonymous | reply 398 | November 14, 2024 4:32 AM |
I'll tell you what I think I've learned from this experience:
There is no reason to ever vote in a national election ever again!
If what we've witnessed these past few days is a preview to the way our Democratic leaders will to continue to “lead”,
they never deserved our votes to begin with!
They’re doing nothing!
Just lying back and leaving us to our enemies for slaughter!
All those times we assumed they were behind the scenes strategizing ways to protect us (Trump stealing 2016 election, Steele Dossier, Mueller Report, etc), they were doing NOTHING!
We were fighting two wars at once: a cyber war with Russia, and a domestic war with the Magas.
We lost! Both. Wars!
Democracy? That’s been gone a long time.
The constitution? What a fucking waste of paper! Great to start with, but if you don’t consistently follow the instructions while downloading the necessary updates, it’s useless!
Someone once said, they sold out the United States and stripped it for parts!
Abandoning the remains of our bodies in flea markets and junkyards.

So I guess everyone has deserted this thread? Della? FCI? ElderLez? anybody out there?
I was up til 5am reading the AMA, what's coming next in this country? thread. It scared the shit out of me. Possibly the most horrifying thread I've ever read in my life.
Either I am a fucking lunatic who desperately needs help - (I probably do anyway) - or what this "insider" discusses is way too plausible to be ignored. And I believe practically every word. In one of many passages, this "insider" claims to have the receipts on Jeffrey Epstein, explains why he was suicided and how it all connects. You know, gives some salacious details to the questions we here have been asking for years. And it all seems completely plausible!
But rather than repost that thread, (you can search it here if you haven't seen it), I'm gonna post the information posted by Stephen Spoonamore, who's account I've been checking twice daily.
by Anonymous | reply 417 | November 15, 2024 10:01 PM |
Also, (forgot to mention), I keep referring to the "insider" as he, but I believe it to be a she from what Insider discusses about her/ his personal life. Not that it matters.
If anyone here has been looking thru my links, and believes I'm on to something, a little encouragement would be helpful.
If, next time I come back to this thread, it still seems deserted except for a couple trolls telling me to die in a grease fire, I'll post elsewhere. Thanks!!

So I’ve looked into offshore trusts, but they cost to set up AND you have to pay someone who is NOT an American to manage it. Of course, you can write those fees off on your taxes, if you file in the US, but if it’s offshore, would you need to file?
Idk. It’s so confusing and terrifying.

The whole point of the chaos of Trump’s cabinet picks is that we get so caught up in the absurdity of it all that we lose sight of the corruption.
Trump is picking people:
(1) who will protect him from accountability (Matt Gaetz & Todd Blanche at DOJ),
(2) who will protect the interests of his corporate overlords (Elon Musk for “DOGE,” Lee Zeldin at EPA, Doug Burgum at Interior), and
(3) to reward unqualified zealots for supporting him in the campaign (RFK Jr., Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard).

What I find amusing about above: If Kamala had been declared the winner, the ratings would have dropped anyway. Perhaps even more than they already have. Why? Their base of viewers would have been so happy, they'd feel no need to watch the news!

The Honorable Kamala Harris
The White House Office of the Vice President
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, DC 20500
Dear Vice President Harris,
We write to alert you to serious election security breaches that have threatened the security and integrity of the 2024 elections, and to identify ways to ensure that the will of the voters is reflected and that voters should have confidence in the result. The most effective manner of doing so is through targeted recounts requested by the candidate. In the light of the breaches we ask that you formally request hand recounts in at least the states of Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. We have no evidence that the outcomes of the elections in those states were actually compromised as a result of the security breaches, and we are not suggesting that they were. But binding risk-limiting audits (RLAs) or hand recounts should be routine for all elections, especially when the stakes are high and the results are close. We believe that, under the current circumstances when massive software breaches are known and documented, recounts are necessary and appropriate to remove all potential doubt and to set an example for security best practices in all elections. In 2022, records, video camera footage, and deposition testimony produced in a civil case in Georgia1 disclosed that its voting system, used statewide, had been breached over multiple days by operatives hired by attorneys for Donald Trump.2,3 The evidence showed that the operatives made copies of the software that runs all of the equipment in Georgia, and certain other states, and shared it with other Trump allies and operatives.
Subsequent court filings and public records requests revealed that the breaches in Georgia were part of a larger effort to take copies of voting system software from systems in Michigan,5 Pennsylvania,6 Colorado7 and Arizona,8 and to share the software in the operatives’ network. According to testimony9 and declarations10 by some of the technicians who have obtained copies of the software, they have had access for more than three years to the software for the central servers, tabulators, and highly restricted election databases of both Election Systems & Software (ES&S), and Dominion Voting Systems, the two largest voting system vendors, constituting the most severe election security breach publicly known.
by Anonymous | reply 434 | November 15, 2024 11:48 PM |
Combined, their equipment counts nearly 70% of all votes nationwide. Ninety-six percent of Arizona voters use Dominion and ES&S equipment; 100% of Georgia voters vote on Dominion machines; 98% of Nevada votes on Dominion voting machines and the remainder uses ES&S; 69% of Michigan voters’ ballots are counted on Dominion or ES&S equipment; 89% of Pennsylvania voters ballots are counted on Dominion or ES&S equipment; ES&S counts 92% of North Carolina ballots; and either ES&S or Dominion counts 97% of Wisconsin votes.
Possessing copies of the voting system software enables bad actors to install it on electronic devices and to create their own working replicas of the voting systems, probe them, and develop exploits. Skilled adversaries can decompile the software to get a version of the source code, study it for vulnerabilities, and could even develop malware designed to be installed with minimal physical access to the voting equipment by unskilled accomplices to manipulate the vote counts. Attacks could also be launched by compromising the vendors responsible for programming systems before elections, enabling large scale distribution of malware.
by Anonymous | reply 435 | November 15, 2024 11:49 PM |
(skipping to end)
Audits will be conducted in some of the most scrutinized states, but in key states they will not be conducted in a timely way that could reveal any concerns with the vote count. In addition, in most states the audits are insufficiently rigorous to ensure any potential errors in tabulation will be caught and corrected, and they cannot be considered a safeguard against the security breaches that have occurred. Specifically, Georgia’s audits are non-binding, and Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin laws do not provide that the audit be conducted before certification. Therefore, it would be impossible to know for these critical states if the audits uncovered errors or miscalculations before the state deadlines to seek recounts.
Among swing states, only Arizona’s audit laws ensure that, if enough discrepancies are identified, the audit hand count will be expanded to correct a potentially incorrect result. In other words, aside from Arizona, in contested states, there is no legal mechanism for the audit to correct the outcome, no matter how much error the audit uncovers. Given these facts, the only guarantee for rigorous, effective audits of the vote in the swing states will be through candidate-requested statewide hand recounts.
The facts around the voting system breaches are not disputed; it is well documented that there were severe, multiple voting security breaches before the 2024 election. To ensure that voters can have confidence that the breaches in security did not taint the results of the 2024 election, we recommend pursuing hand recounts in, at minimum, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania as they will provide insufficient safeguards against threats posed by the breaches of the election software and will not provide important information in a timely way.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this important matter.

I'm cutting and pasting from John Pavlovitz Threads:
The Democrats have nearly swept the state of North Carolina, and yet the state went to Trump. The people of this state need and deserve an #NCRecount to ensure the tabulated Presidential race results here match the submitted ballots.
The Right, ten days after an election they won: "Look at the Left, crying about a rigged election!" The Right, four years, 60+ lost court cases, state recounts, and an insurrection after an election they lost: "Rigged election!"
Seriously, there is nothing conspiratorial about requesting a single swing state recount to ensure proper vote tabulation—that is simply due diligence. Following a campaign where Donald Trump said well before the election that he already had the votes", and after an Election Day when dozens of Russian-initiated bomb threats interrupted polling sites, it is completely warranted to make sure the votes cast were the votes recorded.
As a North Carolinian, these down-ballot voting numbers are insane. We should recount the entire state as the presidential results seem very dubious.
For the price of eggs, tens of millions of Americans voted for a rapist and felon, who is going to give us fascism, sadistic healthcare, terrible education—and more expensive eggs.

R455 that is hopeful, (if just a tad), but I don't think it's a done deal yet - at least not to that extent. Malice Jones has filed a lawsuit to temporarily pause the transition. In any other circumstance, you would expect it to be thrown out. But we no longer live in those circumstances.

However, I give you another sliver of hope.
This is a very difficult, dry article to get thru, written by legal analyst Marcy Wheeler, (better known as X contributor Empty Wheel), in which she discusses her view on the real villains responsible for the mess we're in. Spoiler Alert: NOT Merrick Garland, (although complicit). She points to two others: Mitch McConnell, but mostly John Roberts. As I understand her reasoning. Garland's participation was that he sat back and did nothing. McConnell and Roberts, on the other hand, made aggressive moves putting us exactly where we are now.
Also as I understand Wheeler, she believes even if Garland had attempted to, say, charge Trump within the legal parameters he was allowed, Roberts would have stopped it.
The hopeful part. Well, here's an excerpt: (which I still don't know how to properly format).
"He describes this as driven by Trump’s threat to fire Jack Smith, not DOJ regulations that prohibit further prosecution. He doesn’t link or consider any of the reports that lay out the obvious: by stepping down rather than waiting to get fired, Smith obliges himself to write a report. He chooses how he will go out."
As I understand from the article: Jack Smith is still attempting to be heroic, to do the right thing. (Smith is really fucking pissed off!). He deliberately quit to avoid being fired. But he's taking his time. His plan is to get as much information out to the public, as best he can, which he can only do if certain cases are officially closed, (and supposedly can be reopened at a future date, like that's ever gonna happen!). He wants to use his control of the information while he still has it.
Had he waited to be fired, he'd be handcuffed and escorted out the door before having the ability to do anything.

He can delete it all on HIS devices, but the receivers HD or cloud still HAS that info.
So it doesn’t matter what he does on his end.

I just received Sarah Kendzior's Newsletter. She did a O&A. Lots of great questions, stuff we here have been asking about. She gives honest, practical, pragmatic responses. Some good information Here's an excerpt:
Turkey Burger: Looking back, I do not know precisely what happened between Putin and the oligarchs, other than that the oligarchs either fled, fell in line, or lost their fortunes and freedoms and lives. Do you think that is what is happening between Trump and Elon and Bezos? Is Trump is following Putin's playbook?
SK: In 2012, a friend got me a Putin matryoshka. The outside was Putin, the inside was Medvedev, under Medvedev was another Putin, and on it went. So yes, Trump is following the playbook in the sense of heading a mafia state that never lost its grip, even though another administration existed between his terms.
But Putin is not the best analogue: Netanyahu is. Between two terms of Netanyahu came Bennett — along with corruption trials for Netanyahu. Netanyahu won by gutting the judiciary, rewriting the law so he was no longer breaking it, and returning to power aligned with an even more radical right-wing administration — the Kahanists, who were once banned as terrorists. That is what Trump did and will do. He is emulating both Putin and Netanyahu. But only the Putin path is noted by most pundits, because they would never dare criticize Israel due to fear of lobbying groups.Musk and Bezos are also transnational operators with no loyalty to a particular nation. It’s worth studying instances in which they were vulnerable to blackmail. In 2018, Saudi Arabia hacked Bezos’ phone a few months before Jamal Khashoggi was murdered. Back then, Bezos fought back. Now he surrenders in advance. One can make an argument that Musk and Bezos are corrupt and do not need to be blackmailed. But those are not mutually exclusive: corrupt people are fine with some acts being revealed, but not others, and they have personal vulnerabilities. Everyone you named can be blackmailed, even if they don’t always need to be. That even the billionaires are bowing down raises questions of what is happening behind the scenes.

Dumb question, FCI, those "couple of months", does that include for house and insurance payments? Or for stuff like food and gas?
Because I would have to liquidate some assets to have enough cash on hand to make the house/insurance/electric payments for several months.
Just trying to prepare. Thanks.

Robert Lindsay, Nov 18 2024 Election Results State by State - Comparisons of Exit Polls with Results Shows a Possible Republican Voting Machine Election Fraud:
According to the Occupy Democrats and Legal AF, Harris has filed for recounts, but I’ve yet to hear this anywhere else, so it remains uncertain. In addition, there are unsubstantiated rumors that the FBI is looking into possible election fraud.
In addition, the exit polls apply only to E-Day and in a lot of states many voters participated in early voting. There are indications that the E-Day vote leaned strongly Republican. I am still uncertain who won the electoral college.
I’m not a biased person. I support “radical truth.” If Trump won it fair and square, I’d be the first to tell you. Kamala Harris continues to narrow Trump’s lead. Trump is now leading by 1.7 points. She’s shaved off almost half of his lead in a few days.
There are still votes to be counted, and most will lean heavily Democratic because more Democrats engage in early and absentee voting. Also, Democrats live in urban areas, and it takes much longer to count those than it does the rural Republican areas.
Serious problems with corrupted polls. The Republicans completely corrupted this election before one vote was counted. For one thing, they bombarded us with obviously faked polls towards the end to fraudulently make people think Trump was ahead.
Then they rigged Peter Thiel’s betting market in the same way by flooding it with fake bets for Trump to fraudulently make it seem like he was sweeping the betting markets.
None of that’s illegal but as you can see, Republicans went into this election with an attitude of election fraud. Does that mean they committed election fraud? No, but they had the guilty mindset to do so.
Since the Republicans flooded us with rigged polls near voting day, in looking at my polling averages, I only want to look at clean poll averages that have all of those fake Republican polls removed. If you can find me polls free of Republican monkey business, let me know.
On the other hand, looking at exit polls and post-election voter surveys, there did seem to be big shifts towards Trump for some groups like Hispanics, especially Hispanic men, Black men (to some extent), and young people, especially young men.
However, others questioned that and said that Hispanics only swung a bit more than everybody else towards Trump. 23 states were red-shifted, 21 had no shift, one was blue-shifted, and six were unknown. There are 24 suspicious elections below.
Statistically speaking, depending on the margin of error MOE for the poll, almost all states should have no shift. There may be 3-4 shifts either way. How many states would be expected to be shifted in one way or the other depends fully on the MOE for the poll in question.
Having 24 states red or blue shifted is way off, and having 23 states red-shifted and only one blue-shifted is simply ridiculous, probably statistically impossible, and smells like massive fraud.

(cont)
arly Exit Poll Data It now appears that the “national exit poll” referred to in an article was the final national exit poll of early voting. This early voting poll showed Harris up by +4 in early voting.
In addition, on November 2, CNN posted early voting exit polls for Georgia and North Carolina representing 60% of registered voters in those states.
Those polls showed Harris by six points in North Carolina and by five points in Georgia in early voting. This shows that most voters in those states voted early. Those heavy leads would be almost impossible to overcome even with heavy Republican turnout on E-Day.
The combination of early voting exit polls and E-Day exit polls show Harris up by 2.1 points. That is a discrepancy of 3.8 points from the final results. A discrepancy of results and exit polls of 3% is considered the internationally accepted benchmark to nullify an election.
Based on the discrepancy between exit polls and results, some sort of a hand counted recount of suspicious results should take place.

If the Democrats don’t initiate a recount for the swing states and bring an investigation into Elon Musk’s involvement in the Trump campaign, they are willfully ceding our nation to fascism in the face of results across 7 states that defy any precedent or reasonable explanation.
We all deserve a #SwingStateHandRecount.

I posted this in another thread.
A friend has an ex police officer boyfriend. One of the good guys, she says. She asked him what he’s heard about using the police to help with whatever Trump wants to do. He said, though he hasn’t heard anything, the police are chomping at the bit to go after and have complete free rein to harass any and every person they deem unworthy. He said Hispanics/Blacks/Gays for Trump are truly the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet and Hispanics, legal or not, will be harassed relentlessly.

Listen to those you trust. Don’t panic, but use extreme caution.
I’m not spreading fear when I say we are entering a very dark time for America, but heroes come along just when we need them. Have hope. When I said I don’t think things will be as bad as feared, I didn’t want to give false hope. Trump is going to go for the worst. But I do believe heroes will emerge when we need them. They always have in times like these. But things will get very bad. I think things ARE happening behind the scenes to do something. For those who see inaction, like r478, the election just happened. Though we don’t have much time, Pres Biden has been ahead of them more than not. We will see pussies emerge, and many will let us down (Joe and Mika).

POC esp Hispanic. Same, but always carry ID. You’ll be harassed. DO NOT CARRY CASH AROUND that’s easily found. They’ll take it. Keep contacts with LULAC, NAACP, and so on.
Call Democrats from around the country’s offices, esp POC, to get info. Don’t wait for anyone here to give you info. Be proactive. Be prepared. Save $. Buy things you feel will go up due to tariffs. Doc visits. All before Jan 20th. Things like that.
Maybe someone will stop him. Maybe Republicans will finally grow a pair and stand up to him. He cannot fight both parties. He can’t. Maybe, and I say this Bluth eye rolls, the courts will stop him. Biden should resign and Harris should pardon both Hunter and and Don Jr. for lying about their cocaine use on their gun licenses as a bipartisan show of clemency to ne’er do well crack head scions of Presidents.
Kamala should also propose Jack Smith for VP and when the house refuses to confirm him she should just say “welp I guess there’ll be no counting of electoral ballots.” since there’ll be no VP to oversee it. Let the House pick the president knowing that by not giving it to Trump they can permanently get rid of Gaetz.

'Musk is guilty as fuck'
Cyber-security experts across America are raising the alarm of wide-scale election fraud securing Trump’s victory — and the data is compelling.
Two open letters penned by computer scientists and hacking experts have detailed how the USA’s election software was compromised and the relatively simple hack which could have then been used to fix the results in the seven swing states. They are calling for an immediate hand recount in key precincts which, they say, should swiftly show that a number of these ballots never existed.
There are already numerous articles online stating that this is a left wing conspiracy, and Elon Musk himself has warned that those raising concerns about the “hoax” will face “the hammer of justice”. However, the articles debunking these concerns have only focused on the claim that Musk used his internet service Starlink to steal the election. As detailed below, this is not what the cyber security experts are warning of — although Starlink may have played a role.

I would guess the Secretary of State who is in charge of elections. A Democrat, iirc.
by Anonymous | reply 518 | November 21, 2024 8:15 AM |
FCI, Della, I'm the one who's been posting most of the election fraud articles the past few days.
To be clear, I TOTALLY believe it. Without getting into the mechanics, I believe anywhere from 10 to 20 million votes for Kamala Harris were either deleted or somehow switched to Trump. Not solely just one or the other, but a combination of both. I think each state had a different strategy depending on how the votes were tabulated. Then they all worked in concert to give us the rigged results we are now living with.
I believe if the ballots had been tabulated properly, Kamala would have won by at least 2 million, but I suspect more, like 10 million. I believe she easily won both the popular and electoral.
I believe 2020 was rigged, and Biden won by a substantially larger vote. I also believe Hillary beat Trump in 2016. Because there were no PROPER investigations, (unlike Arizona in 2021), they got away with it. No reason not to rinse, repeat, and perfect the system, Then: Welcome Elmo!
That being said, I think I figured something out that's even more insidious, and it's so horrific, I'm afraid to even speak or document it here. It has to do with something I read in the AMA thread, that I thought was - uh - slightly implausible when I read it.
But then I read something in (The Guardian maybe?) that stayed with me, and I'm putting the two things together, and I don't like what I think I'm figuring out. It really scares me. It was a comparison some pundit or political opinion writer, (Kara Swisher maybe?). It was how we in this country were comparing Trump to Hitler. Her point of view was that Trump is NOT Hitler, that Trump is (I can't remember who), and Putin is Hitler. That made a lot more sense to me.
But now I think she got it wrong, that someone else is Hitler, and it's not Putin. And if not Putin, it's really obvious, to me, who that person could be. At least to me. And if I'm right, it explains SO MUCH. But we're really, really, fucked.

by Anonymous | reply 520 | November 21, 2024 8:26 AM |
R519 I totally agree. It’s not unprecedented. Everything they accuse us of is a confession. Rove even admitted elections can be stolen if they’re close. Now, I don’t think they have to be close. I need to hear some proof. Since the votes haven’t been completed in many places, maybe they’re waiting on that. I want specific recounts in specific precincts/districts in specific states. NC being one of them. There’s just no way every downballot swing state Dem, except one (and he was one of the most popular), won yet those Blue voters voted Trump. There is no history of this happening on this scale.
They better get moving. Tick Tock.

FCI, In the interview I posted yesterday, Stephen Spoonamore said that no matter how much public outcry there is, no official, thorough examination can be launched unless the aggrieved party requests it. That would be Kamala Harris.
Spoonamore filed a letter of intent but has not received much encouragement from her few staffers he had contact with. He has no way of knowing if she's seen the letter or has any intention of starting proceedings.
The unfortunate belief is - and this really REALLY sucks! - even if they can investigate and prove ballots were stolen, deleted, changed, whatever - proving Trump lost the election - the final decision would STILL rest with SCOTUS. We know how that would turn out! According to Spoonamore, it could be the reason Kamala has stayed silent and won't proceed.
This could have been, (and I believe was), their plan all along. As long as they have the SCOTUS super-majority, it doesn't matter if they're caught, SCOTUS will still make the decision in their favor, and stop any recounts from taking place. We are so fucked!

Is my troll happy with my concern?

Dog and cat food will be the kicker.
Got plenty of pasta. Also, buy you some powdered milk. That really served me well in the last plague

My cousin works for a hospital near Boston and he mentioned it to me last week, (bird flu).
Meanwhile, anyone here other than me familiar with Jenny Cohn? It took awhile, but she's finally coming around....
by Anonymous | reply 528 | November 22, 2024 8:50 AM |
There is no reason for freaking out over bird flu. I don’t know why people are desperate to make bird flu happen, but it isn’t right now unless you are a cow. Don’t French kiss a chicken or drink raw milk and you’ll be fine. One infected pig and a handful of infected dairy workers with (actually) mild illness that responds to tamiflu do not a pandemic make.

ElderLez, Concern Troll FCI is urging gays to buy guns to fend off the waves of bird flu-infected MAGAts who are coming for your cash and dry cat food!

R529 that’s the hope. Stock up anyway.
R530 oh you little bitch. Sign your name. Trolldar is revealing. Very revealing, but your other account is even more so. One thing, it’s Poll Troll’s biggest fan. And it’s the one who was freaking out about Doris and I speaking back and forth. The only time you post in this thread is about me. 🤣 Care to sign your name so we can come back to this in, say, 4/5/6 months? Your name callingYou’re a jealous bitter little bitch. Nothing you say will affect my reputation, nor do I care. I rarely post.

No disrespect FCI, but on this topic my sources are better than yours.
I suspect, but don’t know, that this artificial panic over bird flu is meant to plant emotion driven division talking points for the upcoming Congressional assault on NIAID.

R533 I don't doubt you. I just said to watch the faces of the anchors when they report anything about it. That's what I was told last time about Covid. I always stock up after Covid. I have a 3 month supply of everything. Just being cautious.
Trump definitely changed me. I know some see the change in my posting. I'm not talking about my hater. It has a long history of hating on me. People who have worked in politics a long time, and experts, are very, very concerned about what's coming with this administration. My Trumper hater hates that I point this out so starkly, but I'm hardly alone. I hate what he's done to me, and the world.

I heartily concur, FCI.
I've cut so many people out of my life because I now see what bigoted cunts they are.
My family has a history of depression, and the thought of this goddamn TRAITOR stinking up the WH again is just too much. Especially since nobody but us seems to even give a fuck. Nobody who COULD do something about it WILL do something about it.
I don't know how I will be able to survive this again. I'm really struggling - I feel completely abandoned and left to die by the people who said they would protect us.

R537 Which is why I advise to do things in your control to mitigate whatever they do. It alleviates my anxiety and stress. Like I said about Covid. I keep a 3 month supply of everything which greatly helps me concentrate on other things. I was never in Boy Scouts, but I was always a planner, and always prepared. Blue groups are popping up all over SM to offer support and advice. Blue Sky is one of the best places to go for this and also to alleviate your anxiety. It's so much healthier than Twitter, TT, or FB.

Timothy Snyder explained that destroying a country requires undermining five key zones: “health, law, administration, defense, and intelligence.” The nominations of Kennedy, Gaetz, Hegseth, and Gabbard, as well as the tapping of billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to run the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, to destroy the administration of the government, are, according to Snyder, a “decapitation strike.”
“Imagine that you are a foreign leader who wishes to destroy the United States,” Snyder writes. “How could you do so? The easiest way would be to get Americans to do the work themselves, to somehow induce Americans to undo their own health, law, administration, defense, and intelligence. From this perspective,” he explains, “Trump's proposed appointments—Kennedy, Jr.; Gaetz; Musk; Ramaswamy; Hegseth; Gabbard—are perfect instruments. They combine narcissism, incompetence, corruption, sexual incontinence, personal vulnerability, dangerous convictions, and foreign influence as no group before them has done.”
by Anonymous | reply 545 | November 23, 2024 9:29 AM |
You know how else it's easy to tell the election was rigged? Trump had NO reaction to "winning". You'd think he would have expressed some relief or happiness that he was now gonna get away with all his crimes. But there was nothing.
When have we known Trump to not gloat?
Like he said at his rally days before, "We don't need your vote. We got the votes," (or whatever it was).

From Cheri: Ukraine is the breadbasket of the world, producing enough food to feed 400 million people. Trump will hand Ukraine to Putin, and Trump's trade war w/Mexico and Canada could conceivably make us dependent on Putin-controlled Ukraine food production. Especially after he deports migrant ag workers.
by Anonymous | reply 549 | November 29, 2024 4:46 AM |
Actually the US grows much more food than Ukraine - but we do have a much larger population. The interesting thing about food is that it is like oil. International buyers look for the most inexpensive. If US wheat is less expensive than Ukraine wheat, foreign investors will buy US wheat. If they offer more than the US middlemen, the farmers will sell it to foreigners. The farmers are under no obligation to sell it domestically. If that leaves the US bakeries and other food manufacturers short of wheat, they will buy foreign wheat. Right now, there is essentially a glut of wheat, so the price is low relative to the cost of production. Wheat is a good crop to grow for marginal regions (low annual rainfall). It doesn't need nearly as much rain as a crop like corn. Farmers hate to wish ill on other farmers in other areas, but US wheat farmers are always a little glad when there is a terrible drought in other wheat growing areas like Argentina, Australia, or yes, the Ukraine, because then the price of wheat will rise very quickly to a more profitable level. It is not unusual for the US to export a lot of wheat and then to import wheat from another nation. Russia itself grows a lot of wheat, but its farmland is less rich and less reliable than Ukraine's. .

These outrageous cabinet and other administration nominations, are the work of Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, and Jason Miller as they influence Trump. Most of those nominees have extreme views, lack qualifications for the jobs, and are loaded with baggage.
Some, maybe near all, of them are Russian assets.
Trump will sell-out Ukraine to Putin, and Putin will move into other counties in Eastern Europe. Trump will weaken NATO extensively.
Scumbag MAGATs of the populace don’t understand foreign affairs, don’t care, or believe Putin propaganda.
It will be so bad that another impeachment attempt will happen. Martial Law and dictatorship by Trump/Musk will be pursued. The U.S. military will be used to repel bloody protests everywhere. It will fail, but with many thousands of casualties.
The corrupt, shitstain dynasty will get overthrown.

by Anonymous | reply 583 | December 7, 2024 1:07 AM |
As for Qui Tam relators, back at the time of the Civil War Lincoln was worried about thievery from the war effort so a law was passed (the false claims act) that said if a civilian witnessed the misappropriation of government resources he or she could bring a lawsuit on behalf of the government and get a portion of any funds ultimately returned to the Treasury. Qui Tam literally means in the name of the king. The false claims act and the South’s lack of a similar law was probably a deciding factor in the outcome of the war. Anyhoo this law has been on the books now for about 160 with bipartisan support, but an appellate judge who clerked for Clarence Thomas recently ruled that it was unconstitutional and good ol’ Clarence and Alito have signaled that they want it appealed to SCOTUS so they can kill it off for good.
