I heard there are sites where you can "buy" or "bid" on dinner reservations. Has anyone used these or know where to go for them? I have a last minute client meeting in NY on Friday where I need to get a dinner at a "hot spot" which is hard being a few days out. They mentioned they wanted, Polo Bar and Carbone. Ha! I don't live in NYC anymore so any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Just get an Amex platinum and have the concierge make the reservations. I think you might get it with Gold, too

OP just tell them you know George Santos.

Resy is reservation site affiliated with Amex. I’m not sure if you have to have an Amex card to use it. If you have too, you can get a Platinum Amex card in two days if approved online and you have a good credit score.
I’ve not used the service myself, but I hear you are able to score a table at hard to get into restaurants at the last minute.

Platinum services are available at approval, which is oftentimes instant if the credit record's there.
