Captain Lee Rosbach is keeping up his relevancy by speaking about the hit reality TV series that made him famous. The face of Below Deck left in the middle of the tenth season and was replaced temporarily by Captain Sandy Yawn.
The event soured their professional relationship after Sandy fired Camille Lamb and failed to inform Lee. Also, both captains were commenting on the incident at the time. During a recent episode of his Nightcap tour, Captain Lee named Sandy as his least favorite on the Below Deck series, but he probably could have just as easily said, “No comment.”
Captain Lee said he “doesn’t have to like people to work with them”
A TikTok showed Lee answering the question to name his least favorite cast member.
“My least favorite? Captain Sandy,” Captain Lee said in the video. “And we all know why. I don’t like her. Normally I don’t have to like people to work with them, I can work with almost anyone. I don’t have to like them. But if they do their job, keyword, do your job. Do it properly and I can put up with almost anything. Don’t do your job, and then pretend to be something you’re not.”
The crowd gasped in response. Fans would know that Lee did not approve of how Sandy managed the yacht in his absence.
At the time that Camille’s termination was aired, Captain Lee tweeted, “I would have fired her. but prior to that I would have notified the Captain who I was [replacing] what I was doing and why, not after the fact.”
In February 2023, Sandy offered a response in the form of an interview with Us Weekly. She defended herself by saying she didn’t want to burden Lee while he was struggling with his health.
“He’s in the hospital. Who’s gonna call and say, ‘Can I fire Camille?’ Never in a million years would I do that,” Sandy said.
Clearly, this feud hasn’t resolved itself. And may never.
