CNN: More Americans Identify As Republican Than Democrat

The first time in decades. Republicans outnumber Democrats now nationally and in every battleground state. New voter registration is now almost tied. In PA, Democrats lead Republicans by only 4 points for new party registration. This explains why Kamala is having such a hard time in the polls.

Young people are not showing up.

by Anonymousreply 1October 14, 2024 3:31 AM

So the fuck what OP? Democrats were still losing elections the last 40 years when most Americans identities as Democrat.

by Anonymousreply 2October 14, 2024 3:32 AM

Trump needs Gen Z and Gen X white males to come thru like crazy on election day. I don’t what happen to those generations. I guess too much crack and meth.

Anyways it’s not statistically possible; KH will win. Just VOTE swing state gays.

by Anonymousreply 3October 14, 2024 3:35 AM

And yet in Pennsylvania's 2024 primary Joe Biden got 929,000 votes and Trump only 790,000. Riddle me this, OP!

by Anonymousreply 4October 14, 2024 3:39 AM

R4, Biden was beating Trump by double digits there. Kamala is in the margin of error. She’s a black liberal woman from California. She’s not Scranton Joe.

by Anonymousreply 5October 14, 2024 3:48 AM

It's because Democrats have gone too far-left in recent years.

Radical leftists tend to be anti-America but most Americans (i.e. Republicans and Moderates) are patriotic.

It doesn't help that so many "woke" liberals on social media, including here on DL, are constantly bashing the USA via posts or video edits.

People see and listen...

by Anonymousreply 6October 14, 2024 3:48 AM

Steve Kornacki is reporting the same thing now.

R6, that’s ridiculous. The economy and the trans stuff, sure, but Trump is pro-Putin and staged a coup. Democrats never did that. MAGA is definitely anti-American. Democrats/liberals are insufferable with America is a horrible country with a horrible history shit but Republicans are actively out to destroy it.

by Anonymousreply 8October 14, 2024 3:50 AM

r6...really...try harder.

by Anonymousreply 9October 14, 2024 3:51 AM

No he wasn't R5. Biden was not popular in Pennsylvania becausea the same lie machine has been working against him full time there as everywhere else.

by Anonymousreply 10October 14, 2024 3:53 AM

Troll OP. Troll thread.

by Anonymousreply 11October 14, 2024 3:53 AM

Trump is not popular and Republicans are a dead party of traitors and criminals. All their primary voters are hoping for graft. It's been years since I met an honest Republican and I don't think they exist any more.

by Anonymousreply 12October 14, 2024 3:54 AM

You’re misinterpreting this data. There may be more Rethugs, but that’s only because more and more Americans call themselves Independents, not because Rethug numbers are growing. Yes, they grew at first with Dump, but he was an anomaly. The GOP is dying, and I’m fucking here for it.

by Anonymousreply 13October 14, 2024 3:57 AM

It’s a function of the Great Realignment. While many former Republicans are identifying as Democrats, more of the working class has moved to the Democrats.

by Anonymousreply 14October 14, 2024 4:01 AM

More men are republicans than women.

by Anonymousreply 15October 14, 2024 4:07 AM

당신은 미국에 등록된 유권자입니까?

by Anonymousreply 16October 14, 2024 4:08 AM

I don't believe it. how many people here won't admit to being Dem because they are afraid of the Repubs. I can't even believe I had to write that last sentence in this country.

by Anonymousreply 17October 14, 2024 4:35 AM

It's true though.

by Anonymousreply 18October 14, 2024 4:45 AM

R17, is that you, Pauline Kael?

by Anonymousreply 19October 14, 2024 4:47 AM

[quote] It doesn't help that so many "woke" liberals on social media, including here on DL, are constantly bashing the USA via posts or video edits.

Yeah. Trump would never, ever badmouth the US.

by Anonymousreply 20October 14, 2024 5:16 AM

But I thought when the boomers died off all would be utopia. All evil would be banished by Gen X and millennials.

What happened?

by Anonymousreply 21October 14, 2024 6:13 AM

I identify as they/them/molested

by Anonymousreply 22October 14, 2024 6:41 AM

So what you're saying, OP, is that most Americans were just waiting to be offered Fascism?

by Anonymousreply 23October 14, 2024 6:57 AM

[quote] more of the working class has moved to the Democrats.

You have that backwards, dear.

None. Are you crazy? Democrats love screaming racism and bleating about Trump and Trumpers love shouting conspiracy theories. Neither side is silent.

by Anonymousreply 25October 14, 2024 7:16 AM

It is a worldwide shift to the Right. Or at least, a western world shift. Far-Right parties are doing better in many European countries than they have since the 1930s.

I can't help thinking it all goes back to the long-ago decision to stop the education system teaching critical thinking skills and push people towards business and STEM subjects instead. Of course, this was a considered decision by the Right: the result was not an unforeseen consequence.

by Anonymousreply 26October 14, 2024 7:31 AM

Yes, R24, that was not what I intended to say.

by Anonymousreply 27October 14, 2024 10:21 AM

R26, I'm confused by your linking of STEM and an increase in voters identifying as Republican. Scientists often skew toward the left because of issues such as the environment, abortion, and the teaching of creationism in schools.

STEM students do vote less, as discussed here:

This is about the incel crisis - the right wing is offering to undo the sexual revolution and men are listening. Young men aren’t getting laid and they are going psycho, as one would.

by Anonymousreply 29October 14, 2024 10:47 AM

Even 25 years ago, I knew the angry nerds I went to school with were a ticking time bomb. Angry nerds joining forces has been disastrous for the world

by Anonymousreply 30October 14, 2024 10:58 AM

Or r26, the left went too far left.

by Anonymousreply 31October 14, 2024 12:28 PM

[quote] This is about the incel crisis

Only woke fraus and castrated males scream incel at everything.

by Anonymousreply 32October 14, 2024 12:29 PM

[quote] Scientists often skew toward the left because of issues such as the environment, abortion, and the teaching of creationism in schools.

No. Most of them have no social skills and have no street smarts or a clue about society.

by Anonymousreply 33October 14, 2024 12:30 PM

The shifts are small and within measurement error. Also, this is CNN. This is just troll bait.

by Anonymousreply 34October 14, 2024 12:30 PM

R34 it’s not because they have street smarts or care about society. Scientists skew left because reality skews left. That’s all

by Anonymousreply 35October 14, 2024 1:00 PM

I mean, R33

by Anonymousreply 36October 14, 2024 1:01 PM

R35, the left doesn’t even believe in basic biology. Spare us.

by Anonymousreply 37October 14, 2024 1:02 PM

Bless your heart, r37/OP. Now...go play in traffic.

by Anonymousreply 38October 14, 2024 2:26 PM

The truth hurts, r38. You can’t refute it.

by Anonymousreply 39October 14, 2024 2:37 PM

Again, r39/OP - Troll OP and Troll thread.

by Anonymousreply 40October 14, 2024 2:51 PM

I see DeFucktardo has slithered out from under his rock and posting quite a lot, i.e. R37/R39.

The condescending tone of "I'm smarter than all of you idiots put together" is a dead giveaway.

by Anonymousreply 41October 14, 2024 3:03 PM

Trump called the US a failed state, but he is still a patriot even when gives our nuclear secrets to Putin.

by Anonymousreply 42October 15, 2024 1:28 AM

Yeah, you definitely want to look to neo-Confederates when it comes to patriotism. No doubt.

by Anonymousreply 43October 15, 2024 1:37 AM

R42 writes great fiction.
