This looks delicious. Has anyone ever tried it?
bibimbap? It’s good.

Haven’t had it in years—used to love it!

It’s ubiquitous in my town

It's good. I've made it before. It seems to basically be a way to use up leftover banchan, which I rarely have.

Our church had a bazaar last weekend and the Korean plate is one of the most popular food items. You get a plate with that meat, some pot stickers, rice and kimchi. It’s really tasty.

Yes it's good - have to get it with the fried egg and extra red chili beans paste.
Sometimes it's served with too much rice though and not enough of the veggies and meat.
It's a left over dish.
I'm surprised in 2024 you haven't heard of this before - I think I've been eating this for over 30 years and I'm not Asian.

It’s also fun to say.

Tasty but not very pretty.

Looks delish. Unless those brown things are fingers.

I need to try this, minus the mushrooms. Hate mushrooms!

They are missing ginger as well as fish sauce.
Plus, you shouldn’t need the white sugar if you have brown.
This is a dish the requires full wall cleaning; sesame oil lingers.

Mmm.... Bi Bop

That shit look nasty.

The photo at OP doesn't look like bibimbap.
It's actually a good first dish to try for people not used to Korean food.
Try to order it in a place that cooks it in a stone pot so that you get the rice crust or socarrat (like paella), which is the best part.

Looks like the inside of my diaper.

Bibimbap - an incredibly obscure meal eaten by hundreds of millions of people worldwide everyday, OP.

Hi KGT R14!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 14, 2024 6:04 PM |
Yeah, R15, it doesn't, now that you mention it. You won't usually find fresh mung bean sprouts in bibimbap, but instead, cooked soybean sprouts. Haven't seen carrot slices before, either. I guess it's just that one person's version of the dish.

Love it. The crunched golden burnt rice at the end is the best part, and worth digging out for all that you can.
I also love the pickled vegetables that a typical Korean restaurant puts on the table in little bowls.

R15 Now that looks delicious.

I can't stand to look at pics of food. It looks exactly like what comes out of the body.

Not a fan of hot dogs, then, R24?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 14, 2024 11:15 PM |
The problem with R15’s pic is it isn’t in a bowl. Looks like a no carb dish for tards.
