Shirley MacLaine will be on 'CBS Sunday Morning' this weekend, promoting her new memoir (yes, she wrote another one) and talking about her friend Liz Taylor and the movie she turned down ("Breakfast at Tiffany's") among other things. Here's a brief clip:
Shirley MacLaine on "CBS Dunday Morning" (10/13)

Can't wait until Dunday!

Her thoughts on Liz Taylor - " a magnificent human being".
It's noticeable that her breathing seems labored. I wonder what's wrong...
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 13, 2024 1:57 AM |
R3. She's 90.....
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 13, 2024 1:59 AM |
She would have been a more believable hillbilly than Audrey.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 13, 2024 2:10 AM |
Shirley is a lovely woman but she really should wear makeup in public.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 13, 2024 3:07 AM |
Shirley suffers from Irish skin. Pale, very wrinkled, and loose. Irish blooded men and women age terribly. The white hair makes her look like a ghost.

Her daughter outed her as a total cunt. Is she still talking to aliens?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 13, 2024 10:18 AM |
Yikes! There was a period of time where she still looked the same.
That’s gone!

She's 90.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 13, 2024 3:54 PM |
R9 is not R3.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 13, 2024 3:56 PM |
Her rebirth by date has expired.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 13, 2024 3:59 PM |
R3 / R9 that's not a medical cause for labored breathing. Try again.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 13, 2024 4:01 PM |
R10. Nope. No he/she/it is not.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 13, 2024 4:01 PM |
She's written more memoirs than Joan Calamezzo.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 13, 2024 4:06 PM |
I'd be interested to hear why she's given up almost entirely on makeup, other than a little lipstick.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 13, 2024 4:28 PM |
This is what 90 can look like. Don't give up, gals.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 13, 2024 4:38 PM |
I was thinking of her R16, Collins and Barbra Eden (who's now 93) both look as beautiful as ever.
But as I said earlier, MacLaine has the unfortunate Scottish / Irish genetics in her - and those people do not age well at all. I've seen it with so many customers of mine over the years. They wrinkle up like crepe paper and their hair goes as white as a ghost. No amount of makeup will help that, which is why so many of them wear mascara and the ruby red lipstick (thinking that will make them young looking).

^^^ More like, "don't give up on your plastic surgeon, girls"
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 13, 2024 5:11 PM |
Who is the guy interviewing her? And why would a handsome man like that choose to wear such a ratty Korean wig?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 14, 2024 2:45 AM |
Lee Cowan
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 14, 2024 1:57 PM |
Damn, R20, I too noticed his piece right away.
CBS Sunday Morning has taken a serious dive in quality in recent years.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 14, 2024 2:11 PM |
I have to laugh at how they call her a triple-threat. Shirley was never much of a singer.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 14, 2024 2:14 PM |
R17 must have cataracts. Eden usually keeps her turkey neck covered up. She and Collins have had way too much plastic surgery. She usually looks like she's had makeup troweled on.
At this point, they're all phonies. Eden talks as though she had a bigger career rather than having been the bargain basement Liz Montgomery (both her wretched sitcom and her tv movie career). Collins, the bargain basement Liz Taylor tells lies because anyone who knew her in the past is dead. Shirley has alway been in some sort of fantasy land, as she always seems to have been estranged from any real people in her life like her husband, brother, and daughter.

I was surprised they showed pics of her daughter and Shirley was all smiles. Doesn't her daughter hate her? I think she looks great for 90 and not pulled too tight and full of Botox.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 14, 2024 3:34 PM |
Shirley is a real movie star and I admire some of her work. Still, I think I'd rather spend a day with Joan, if I were given the choice of only those 2. Shirley seems like she runs hot and cold and can easily be rude or boring. Joan makes an effort.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 14, 2024 5:28 PM |
I think Shirley runs more cold than hot.
Nobody has a kind word to say about her except Streisand who is bitchier than her
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 14, 2024 5:34 PM |
Collins would be more entertaining but ultimately equally tiresome.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 14, 2024 7:31 PM |
R7 = Warren Beatty
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 14, 2024 7:39 PM |
After reading Sachi’s book, I really dislike Shirley.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 15, 2024 10:41 AM |
The Children’s Hour was on Pluto TV and she was terrible.

She’s 90, R15.

R15 - Pam Anderson
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 15, 2024 4:04 PM |
I still love TERMS OF ENDEARMENT.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 15, 2024 4:31 PM |
I hate that monkey-faced cunt. And I hate that ridiculous "Terms of Endearment," too.
No idea how anyone considers her an actress of the least note.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 15, 2024 4:48 PM |
R35. Hi, Debra!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 15, 2024 4:54 PM |
I hope you bitches who are complaining that a 90-year-old woman should be dyeing her hair and troweling on makeup in an effort to look Forever Young™ aren't the same ones in the Broadway thread insisting that people should be allowed to wear pajama pants and slippers to Broadway because "times have changed and dressing up is for the olds."
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 15, 2024 5:19 PM |
She’s still here!
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 15, 2024 5:59 PM |
Sondheim!
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 15, 2024 6:00 PM |
Do you think Shirley only agreed to the interview if they promised not to ask about her relationship with her daughter? It was odd that it didn't come up.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 15, 2024 6:15 PM |
Shirley looked much older than Maggie Smith who'd dead.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 15, 2024 6:16 PM |
Shondheim!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 15, 2024 6:17 PM |
Maggie Smith who had what now, R41?
