I believe this is the Czech Republic. 4000 Koruna is about $175 and 30000 Koruna is about $1300. A lot of money for these guys but not as much as it sounds to us.

I will add, though it’s been 15 years since I was last in Prague but in my experience Czech men are second only to the Columbians in how heteroflexible they can be when money is waved in their face.

The Czech Hunter series and the Debt Dandy series both have this theme and have been around for years.

30000 korunas sounds like a lot of money to Americans, and to Czech people 30000 is a lot of money, but when Americans hear that 30000 is only1300 it doesn’t sound like nearly as much.
