I get nervous as they fly over my house.
Blue Angels practicing over SF Bay Area

They're flying directly over my place. My windows rattle every time they fly over, but it's kind of exciting to see.

Are the Blue Angels impressive? Sure, for about 10 minutes. I forget about the annual Fleet Week until the B.A. start rehearsing over my neighborhood (Twin Peaks). I try not to think about it, but one wing tip hits another and there goes an *entire* neighborhood. Never mind the astounding amount of fuel used in the practicing and shows. I guess Fleet Week brings a lot of money into SF, which God knows it needs, but I've never been near it or the crowds as it's not my jam.

I lived at montrose Bay in Chicago....Every year for the air show the blue angels would practice and turn around the harbor.....They literally would be on eye level zipping by my window....the amount of times I'd jump

They buzz so close they set off car alarms. In prior years it was just annoying noise. Now I associate the sound with disaster. Ever since 9/11 I always wonder if the twin towers people heard the oncoming planes before the collision.

My dog hates it! I just closed all the windows.

R4, last year I was sitting on a beach in Greece with a Greek friend. Out of nowhere a Greek air force jet plane flew low overhead. I didn't show it, but it totally freaked me out. I think it triggered memories of seeing and hearing a jet fighter fly past my window on the morning of 9/11 and then the jet fighters circling around the city for the next day or two.
