The Great Actress Emmaline Henry (1928 - 79)
Emmaline Henry (November 1, 1928 – October 8, 1979) was an American actress best known for playing Amanda Bellows, the wife of Dr. Alfred Bellows, on the hit 1960s situation comedy I Dream of Jeannie.
Henry first appeared during the first season of I Dream of Jeannie, 1965, episode #18, "Is There An Extra Genie In the House?" playing a magician's assistant named "Myrt". She then made 33 appearances as Amanda Bellows until the fifth and final season in 1970.
Following the cancellation of I Dream of Jeannie in 1970, Henry guest-starred on other sitcoms, including Love, American Style, The Bob Newhart Show, and in the dramatic television mini-series Backstairs at the White House. In 1971 she guest-starred in the final episode of Green Acres playing Lillian Grant, the sister of Oliver's former secretary Carol Rush (Elaine Joyce). The episode was a backdoor pilot that was rejected by CBS. On Three's Company, she appeared in the recurring role of Chrissy's boss, J.C. Braddock. Her final appearance was the Eight Is Enough episode "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do ", which first aired on September 19, 1979, just 21 days before her death in October 1979. Henry died of a brain tumor on October 8, 1979, at the age of 50.

Always came across as more matronly than her age.
Perhaps the mark of a good actress?

She had a starring role before I Dream of Jeannie as the wife of John Astin in "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster" and a recurring role on "The Farmer's Daughter". She did lots of tv before having the thankless role of that gay shrink's wife. She died of a brain tumor shortly after appearing o "Eight is Enough" which is both fitting and sad.

One of Mia Farrow's girlfriends in "Rosemary's Baby" (at the party where they were shocked by Rosemary's appearance), and, yes, she looked matronly compared to Mia.

She was the 'Louise Tate' of 'I Dream of Jeannie'. In some episodes, The Bellows' house was actually the same house 'The Stephens' lived in.

R4 She was older than Mia - she should look matronly.

Also had a thankless role as Mickey Rooney's wife on his short-lived sitcom.

Mickey Rooney…that SOBs breath would put anyone into an early grave.
I hated that SOB, and so did the wife.

I wonder if the rest of the cast liked her ? Was she ever talked about in interviews by Eden, Hagman or Daily ?

She was married/divorced but childless. She was on that dumb show as a guest star before she became recurring. They probably liked her. Compared with Eden, she was a veritable Katherine Cornell.
