She sounds Iike an authentic nut job.
I haven't even read the article, but she clearly doesn't give a fuck and doesn't owe us shit. So let's go ahead and kick someone for fun, shall we, OP?

“Recast!”

The only criticism I have of her is this quote in the article: "I'm not ungrateful for the benefits that it gave to me."
Don't use double negatives!
Suggested revision: "I am grateful for the benefits that it gave to me."
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 3, 2024 10:07 AM |
Is that really a double negative?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 3, 2024 10:37 AM |
I've never seen her or heard of her before.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 3, 2024 10:40 AM |
She really is a nutball. I'd say Roseanne ascendant.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 3, 2024 10:42 AM |
I read that whole story on OP's link and whoever she is she says that Harmon's dog attacked someone on set and bit them but he kept brining it to set each day and she was frightened for her safety and after 1 year of it she decided it wasn't wasn't for her and she decided to move on. They mustn't have liked each other.
Nobody even knows who she is.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 3, 2024 10:50 AM |
Does she identify as a lezzy?

[Quote] Former 'NCIS' star Pauley Perrette says she will never return to acting.
“Thank fuck!” says test of world.

by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 3, 2024 11:47 AM |
Does she actually think that anyone misses her???
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 3, 2024 1:12 PM |
R5 = Mark Harmon
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 3, 2024 1:14 PM |
I avoided NCIS because of that stupid Goth character.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 3, 2024 1:47 PM |
She looks better as a goth.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 3, 2024 2:44 PM |
A lot worse than her floating around in Hollywood
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 3, 2024 2:51 PM |
Who R15?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 3, 2024 4:26 PM |
She's too old to be wearing her hair in pigtails.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 3, 2024 4:33 PM |
She's 55.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 3, 2024 4:39 PM |
r4... not + un = double negative
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 3, 2024 4:51 PM |
I did find it amusing that at the top of the article the author writes, "There will never be another Abby Sciuto," when in fact EVERY procedural had the unattractive, quirky, goth tech wiz girl.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 3, 2024 5:01 PM |
I resemble that remark, R20!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 3, 2024 5:02 PM |
This person came across as a total poser, with her alternative look, jet black hair, weird glasses, and gravelly voice, whenever she popped up on my TV screen. I guess it’s good for everyone that she’s found her authentic self.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 3, 2024 8:26 PM |
She was on NCIS for 15 years.
Her earnings peaked at $200K per episode. After taxes and paying agents and such, she probably has a solid $20mm.
She's living comfortably. Not private jet comfortably, but easily first class comfortable.

I always liked her -both her character and the woman I read about in interviews. Sure, her character has been copied -but she was the original.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 3, 2024 8:56 PM |
That photo of her looks like homeless people I've seen digging through trash and muttering to themselves. Hell, she was on a hit show for over a decade. Go buy some decent clothes.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 3, 2024 9:00 PM |
She had some sort of breakdown because of a stalker if I remember correctly.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 3, 2024 9:03 PM |
Yeah - 15 years on one TV show from 2003 to 2018 - she made a good amount of money, unless she was an absolute fool.
She's got plenty of money - 10 digits most likely. That's enough to live a fantastic life.
And at 55, the Hollywood game for older actresses is tough. I get it.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 3, 2024 9:11 PM |
Who is going to tell her about her sweater
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 3, 2024 9:13 PM |
I hated her character — Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 3, 2024 9:37 PM |
I miss her southern bakery, Donna Belle's, here in Hell's Kitchen. The yellow chocolate layer cake was delicious - almost as good as my Nana's homemade cake.
Donna Belle's closed down during the pandemic; sure wish Pauly would come back and reopen her shop.

R3 and R19, when you’re expressing a mood, sense, or emotion it’s acceptable to use something called litotes, in which double negative constructions are used. Saying “I’m not ungrateful” does not mean that she is grateful (as R3’s recommendation suggests), it simply reflects complicated feelings. The most common example is “Not bad.” It doesn’t mean something is good but one’s feelings are complicated or nonchalant.
I’m with R4 on this.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 3, 2024 9:58 PM |
R27, 10 digits? Really? Like 1,000,000,000??? I sincerely doubt she has a billion from being on that show.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 3, 2024 10:19 PM |
55 is a bit too long in the tooth to try to rock that Nina Hagen-lookalike Berlin after hours club kid look.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 3, 2024 10:26 PM |
R16 Grow up
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 4, 2024 1:58 AM |
Mark Harmon is an asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 4, 2024 2:01 AM |
R20 shit like that is because most of the these articles/interviews are outsourced to fans to write. It's embarrassing
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 4, 2024 2:31 AM |
Litotes - this is why I love DL.
It's the only discussion board where someone is likely to be able to come up with litotes to clap back a comment.
I don't know too many people who even know terms like litotes, anaphora, chiasmus, catachresis, or synecdoche.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 4, 2024 2:35 AM |
[Quite] … litotes, anaphora, chiasmus, catachresis, or synecdoche.
Well done on naming five out of the 9 Greek muses.
