But there was no personal spark? This must have been almost 20 years ago! I gather Quinto was neither "mostly asshole" nor "mostly charming". He seems to be neutral and take himself very seriously. I was wondering what happened to Quinto

He was great in Heroes. He was actually a solid Spock in the Kelvin timeline Star Trek.

He's not plausible in any other roles. He's another actor who is great in genre films, like Marvel, Star Trek, and Star Wars, but isn't good in shows where you're meant to portray people in the real world.

He plays a great villain, like on AHS or Heroes. I'm glad he ditched the pornstache.

Miles came from a wealthy family, he didn't need Quinto's money. His family was much more well-off than Quinto.

Miles is an airhead flake. He was attracted to Quinto's maturity and self-important pretentious intellect. Miles filled their apartment with shiny pretty rock crystals for spirituality and slinky flimsy fashion togs to get Zach to shoot his loads.

Qunto recently had a "don't you know who I am" meltdown at a restaurant when he couldn't get a table. They kicked him out.
