As an historian and an amateur archaeologist it breaks my heart to think of all the precious irreplaceable incredible artifacts and structures in Iran and Israel and the entire region that keep getting destroyed during these conflicts. Yes the loss of human life and the suffering of the people is horrible, but in addition to that we are losing records of human history going back thousands of years.
