Briefly met the Vice President today while she was in Los Angeles. I'd never met her before but have been in the room when she's spoken previously. I have to say, I have met a lot of politicians in the past, Harris is warm, and a natural politician. The one thing I like about Harris is she doesn't have to take that extra millisecond, lets call it the Hilary Clinton millasecond, to overthink an answer. Whereas Clinton always seems to be calculated on every answer and never fully comfortable - on this round of campaigning - out from the shadow of the current President - Harris is herself, answering questions and not overthinking them. Dare I say it reminds me of Obama and Bill Clinton. Perhaps not the same level of orators of those two but -- done with the same charisma. She's likeable. Republicans are getting desperate and really pouring on the name calling. Anyone with any education no matter what party you're in can see, this is a smart woman. She's not insane. She's not --- whatever Trump called her recently. I'm still not entirely certain why they don't have her speaking to the press more, that does need to change especially when the orange media whore will drop anything to speak to press, she really should do more because she's a natural. I've heard her described as offering up no more than a word salad, and I disagree. I also think she'll make a great President. She's finally saying what most Americans want to see done at the border.... and now all she has to do is try and convince as many moderates and Republicans to come over as much as possible. I truly believe she will be more inclusive than Biden has been. And to the gay men I know who are Trump supporters (I know.. it's.... shocking).... I say... please take another look. She's the real deal. The only real you're going to get out of Trump is his love the lens and a mirror.
Met the Vice President today: SHE MUST WIN.

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

Who the fuck are you preaching to and what makes you think your pollyanna typing will have any effect on GOP voters? Well?

Cute story, OP. Yet, I highly doubt that Madam VP was hanging out at the third glory hole on your left at the Busted Bottoms Bookstore that you are well known to frequent on the weekends.

R3, the OP sounds more like a suburban frau with children Jayden and Kayden in the back seat of their Toyota Prius.

If OP lives in the Los Angeles area, there was indeed a Kamala Harris fundraiser. She was there.

Yep OP has some bucks and is a bit of an LA power player. Maybe lawyer or in the industry. Their story is believable, they’ve heard her speak before as AG or Senator and they were invited down today to the fundraiser. Had she not been set up with Doug, he’d be sending a message like OPs to his friends today! Doug attended some of her campaign events for AG, he donated to her campaign at the time and he’d certainly be on the fundraiser list for this campaign.
I think Hilary ploughed the way for Kamala to be more natural. If Hilary never ran and Kamala was the first woman then she’s also be pausing, terrified of a misstep. But Kamala is a different generation, she’s been the first woman or first POC in every role. Hilary went first and took the worst of the misogynistic gunfire. And Kamala is naturally a very warm, funny person. I can see her being a great fundraiser in general, not only for herself
OP - did you ever go to a Pelosi fundraiser? A friend of mine dated a Dallas lawyer with family money. They went to a Pelosi hosted fundraiser. Pelosi is not a good speaker on TV but he said she was a master wallet opener with incredible charisma.

I disagree [R6] no denying H. Clinton paved the way for Kamala Harris, however, I've seen other females run for elected office before and after H. Clinton and they have not paused like H. Clinton. H. Clinton is a very impressive individual but that was, and still is, here flaw. I hear in private she's much better but in interviews she always appears measured and calculated in her answers. It's just who she is. Whether she's meaning to or not -- she does it. No doubt she paved the way. No doubt she is of a different generation. But she's just not as smooth when it comes to answering things.

OP, don't mind the haters. Most of them haven't left their apartments since Biden quit, let alone attend a Presidential fundraiser.

[R8] So true and why the F would OP make this up? There was a fundraiser in LA on Sunday. There are people in the industry or politically connected on this site. Though fewer and fewer than there used to be. I agree with R8 this site has turned into apartment non-leaving gay older individuals who may or may not at one time had influence and now... are just bitter men. Sometimes, there are the WEIRDEST posts and responses on this website --- I didn't always used to be this way.

That and we also have Trump trolls who swoop in to knock any positive Harris anecdote and they tend to post during the night. Were the old shut ins up at midnight (west coast), 3am (east coast) or are we seeing our usual foreign trolls.

This site is essentially seven posters and the rest is Teacake and his various sock puppet accounts. It’s getting really bad, especially the past week when every other new thread is a Teacake or Tecacake sock puppet bit of nonsense. The entire site has essentially become his personal blog with people commenting.
I’ve never seen an entire message board taken over by one brain-diseased individual but, alas, it’s happened. It has sadly sucked the life out of this place.
