“Wolfs”

Released on AppleTV Sept. 27th.

Pitt and Clooney supposedly took a pay cut to ensure theatrical distribution. I doubt a (very) limited release is what they had in mind.

AppleTV pivoted from a wide theatrical release at the last minute. This probably caused theaters a bit of chaos.

I’ll bet….there’s a story there!

Wolfs and otters - they's my favorites.

Yes, they're changing their strategy.

The movie itself is pretty formulaic. “Pulp Fiction” meets “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.”

That’s the official story, r2, which is almost never real story in situations like this.

Pitt and Clooney will see this as a slap in the face, especially after they took a pay cut to ensure distribution. I guess they aren’t as powerful as they used to be.

What a weird strategy by Apple.

Clooney and (especially) Pitt are few of the Big Name Celebrities left who people will go to the movies for.

I am sure I'm just not getting something obvious.

I think Apple realized they had a turkey on their hands and didn’t want a high-profile failure.

I’m not sure there’s a place for these mediocre yet big-budget movies any more. Sad because I used to go to the movies every weekend.

Sure, I saw a lot of crap but it beat sitting at home. Now I’m actually anxious when I go to a theater, expecting to be shot up at any moment.
