Wes Craven

Are there any fans of this director and his movies here on DL? With October right around the corner, I've been thinking about my favorite scary movies, a lot of which includes films by Craven. Would you put him in the same league as Hitchcock?

Yes OP. Big fan of the original Nightmare on Elm Street and the Scream franchise.

Totally a fan. He presented as mild-mannered and intellectual but he must have had a secret depraved perv streak to create something like The Last House on the Left.

R2 His directorial debut. The Hills Have Eyes was another horror classic. The remake wasn't nearly as good.

Not close to Hitchcock, but good in his own genre.
