Several Vegas bloggers have said it's not true. And why should it be true. Zero debt and brings in nothing but money.

There hasn't even been any movement in years on that giant plot across from the Wynn. CC should remain!

R2 and CC is really one of those old Vegas properties that people are always so upset when they get torn down. The rooms are cheap, you can get an inexpensive meal and have free entertainment. The young and the not so wealthy can enjoy Vegas without breaking the bank. I agree it's gross, but I'd probably stay there if I was 21 again.

R5. It's true. Carl Hubay wouldn't set foot in there.

I stayed there once years ago. It was packed with guests. It's 30 bucks a night and it's on the strip. Sad to see this. I guess Vegas is only for the very wealthy.

Room rates are as low as $10 a night now… the quality is commensurate

From the comments: the part which makes it seem like this is probably true is the age of the owner. A true gambler knows when it’s time to cash out.
“The source of this rumor is a limo driver and often our city's transportation workers are privy to conversations and information before anyone else. I spoke with Vital Vegas and he says the property does not have a buyer, yet. I reached out to my own sources which include the owner of a nearby casino and several C-level execs at surrounding properties and they all seemed to believe that Phil Ruffin, the 90 year old billionaire owner is passively entertaining offers and that despite Circus Circus earmarking funds for a renovation and being wildly profitable, would sell in the right scenario. I believe this current rumor is inaccurate, but rooted in truth - and indicates the creepy clown motel is not long for this world. Thoughts?“

I think poor people deserve better than this.

R11, Vital Vegas, "referenced" in the message has gone on record as saying this is totally false.

It's in a good location. It's depressing to look at. I'm surprised it's still there.
